Enjoying Life With Do As You Please System
Chapter 106: Written By Someone SpecialI threw my hands up in the air, letting out an exasperated sigh. "I plead the Fifth!"
Julian let out a sharp, amused scoff from his armchair. "That mundane human legal concept holds zero authority in a this skybox, son."
I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest with a dry, unbothered smirk. "Well, regardless... I am officially invoking my right to remain completely silent. Sue me."
Alistair and Julian stared at me for three long seconds. Seeing my firm, unwavering refusal to spill the beans, Alistair let out a hearty, booming laugh, while Julian simply shook his head, respecting my choice without pressing any further. I let out a quiet breath of relief.
My eyes drifted back toward the central stage, looking down at Yerin as she stood beneath the roaring lights.
’You crazy goblin...’ I thought, a warm, fond smile breaking through my composed expression. ’You need some punishment.’
Outsiders and ordinary fans would drive themselves crazy trying to figure out who the mysterious man was. But anyone within the high-society inner circle who knew her personality, and knew how close the two of us had grown over the past few days, would connect the dots instantly. This was her unapologetic, chaotic way of declaring her loyalty to me in front of the entire world.
BUZZ.
My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and noticed a private text message from Yoona, who was sitting just a few feet away on the sofa.
’Honestly, Seth... even I didn’t expect my little sister to make such a bold public declaration today! It looks like you really are going to end up officially marrying both of us twin sisters at the exact same time! Congratulations, my handsome hubby~’
I looked over at Yoona. She shot me a subtle, teasing wink. I offered her a quiet, warm smile, returning the gesture before slipping the phone back into my pocket.
Fortunately, the chaotic media storm outside didn’t stall the show for long.
Down on the stage, the heavy, infectious beat of the next song erupted through the speakers.
To my complete surprise, it was one of my absolute favorite songs from Yerin’s entire discography, a fast-paced, high-energy duet track. And right on cue, a secondary hydraulic lift raised a famous guest artist onto the stage-a stunning, veteran female vocalist Yerin had personally invited to perform alongside her.
’How did she invite her?’
[I helped a bit. That woman had a few issues and was planning to reject, so I solved the issues. That allowed her to accept it.] Paige chimed in.
’On, love you, Paige.’
[Hehe~]
The two pop stars broke into an explosive, synchronized dance style, their incredible vocal harmonies blasting through the stadium and reigniting the crowd’s energy into a frenzy.
Inside our skybox, the tense, serious silence completely vanished.
"Alright!" I grinned, stepping back out into the middle of the carpet. "Now this is my jam!"
I started moving to the fast-paced rhythm, and before I could even ask, Val stepped out from the corner. Despite her earlier embarrassment, she took my hands, executing a remarkably cute, slightly awkward step-dance alongside me, her face flushing with a softblush.
Yoona joined in right after, her smooth Succubus charm adding an effortless, breathtaking grace to our lounge party. Was she trained in all of this?
The atmosphere in the skybox returned to wholesome perfection again.
For the next two hours, the farewell concert unfolded like an absolute masterclass in global entertainment.
Yerin’s stage presence was undeniably peak. She commanded the arena with nonchalant brilliance, alternating between high-intensity dance tracks and soul-stirring ballads. But what made the event truly legendary was how generously she shared her massive stage.
She invited a stunning lineup of guest artists throughout the performance, legendary vocalists of their own era, famous international pop icons, and even brand-new, undiscovered indie artists who she gave a once-in-a-lifetime platform to display their talents to the world.
Passing the torch, as she called it.
Checking the global broadcast numbers on my phone, my jaw nearly dropped.
The live concurrent view count had shattered every record in human history, peaking at over 40 million active viewers across streaming platforms. No artist in history had ever gathered a digital audience of that scale.
Inside our private skybox, the party reached its absolute high point. Dylan was singing along at the top of his lungs, Mom was recording videos of us on her phone, and even Alistair and Julian were comfortably chatting over wine, enjoying the spectacular show.
As the concert approached its final thirty minutes, I knew we were entering the climax. I was especially eager to hear the songs I had helped her write, including a couple of tracks where I had thrown in some absurd ideas.
Down on the stage, the lights dimmed to a soft, golden hue.
Yerin stood at the center microphone, wiping a subtle bead of sweat from her forehead as she smiled warmly into the broadcast camera.
"For this next performance..." Yerin announced, her voice filled with quiet affection, "...I am going to sing a song written by a very, very important person in my life."
The crowd erupted in curious whispers, while my eyes widened slightly in anticipation.
"He actually suggested this concept to me as a complete joke..." Yerin giggled softly, a beautiful, playful light dancing in her dark eyes. "...but when I tried singing it, I fell in love with it instantly."
DINK. DINK. DINK.
A simple, melodic piano progression began to play through the stadium speakers.
Yerin raised the microphone, taking a deep, soulful breath, and began to sing.
"One... two... three... four... five..."
I froze dead in my tracks, my jaw literally dropping to the floor.
She was actually singing the "Number Song", the ridiculous idea where the lyrics were nothing more than sequential numbers set to an impossibly sweet, addictive melody.
I had offhandedly brought it up during our lyrics-writing discussion as a dry joke... but Yerin had taken the idea, polished it, and turned it into an absolute masterpiece.
Her voice carried the simple numbers with such breathtaking, ethereal beauty, such addictively sweet emotion and flawless pitch, that the entire stadium of two hundred thousand people, and fourth million viewers online, were instantly spellbound, swaying to the rhythm of her voice.
I stood there in the skybox, completely speechless, before a loud, genuine, and helpless laugh erupted from my chest as I watched my genius, chaotic girlfriend conquer the world with numbers.
