Alex walked out of the workshop and found Sunflare inside the house, waiting for him. The man came out as well, simply following Alex without a word.
Alex paused for a moment and turned toward the Celestial. Whatever he may have felt back then in terms of anger was no more, and now all that was left was mild regret. He bowed toward Sunflare as a result.
"My apologies for how I acted back then, senior," he said. "I couldn’t hold in my frustration."
The man looked at Alex for a long few seconds before nodding slightly. "That is all well," he said. "Are you done with what you came here for?"
"Oh, no. I’m not. I just have a few weeks of break, and I decided to use that to cultivate," Alex said.
Sunflare appeared delighted to hear that. "In that case, do you have the time to let me see the tree?" he asked.
Alex thought for a moment and shrugged. "I do not see why not," he said. "I will need to ask my master, however, to accompany me, so I will have to ask you to wait until then. Please call the other two seniors as well. I might as well let them use the opportunity as well."
Sunflare nodded.
Alex didn’t sense him use his Divine sense, but there was no doubt he had already called them. He was just too strong for Alex to sense anything about him. Alex took the opportunity to let Bladedance know about what he was planning, so he asked for her help as well.
Bladedance replied not long after, asking him to go over to her place. She would be there in a bit.
Alex told Sunflare that as well, and together they went to her courtyard. The other two Nine Yang Court members arrived soon as well.
"Is it true, Elder Sunflare?" the shorter of the two Divinities asked. "I get to see it too?"
"Yes, Noonstar," Sunflare said. "We have been blessed with the opportunity today."
Daywind, the taller one, seemed quite excited as well, despite having gotten the same opportunity not even a year prior.
Bladedance returned not long after, a strange look on her face.
"You’re all here?" she asked before walking up to them.
Alex explained what it was that he was planning. Bladedance heard it all and nodded. "That’s fine. I can do that," she said. "Although, you really messaged me at a rather inopportune time."
Alex frowned slightly. "Why, master? What did I do?" he asked.
She sighed a little. "It’s nothing that you did. I accepted your message while I was talking to a few of the newly arrived gods and guests of the palace, and they figured out it was you. Realizing that you aren’t in closed cultivation, they now want to meet you."
Alex blinked in surprise. "There are new gods that want to meet me? Why?"
"Why else? Because of your reputation," she said. "They want to meet the man who walked out of Hell."
Alex sighed, a little worried as well. "Which gods are these?"
"Saber God and Defense God. Please tell me you don’t have any issue with these gods," she said.
Alex thought for a moment. "I don’t think I’ve ever come into contact with the Defense God or any of his subordinates. As for the Saber God, one of my Origin techniques does come from his predecessors, though I don’t suppose that should be an issue?"
Bladedance shook her head. "I don’t see how he could ever find out something like that, so you should be fine. I suppose the main issue is not the god, then."
"Not the god? Is there a Reverend or a Sage among them I have to worry about?" Alex asked.
"Not precisely," Bladedance said. "There is a woman called Quietspring who has accompanied these two gods."
Alex tilted his head in confusion. "I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone who goes by that name."
"No, but you have interacted with the organization she belongs to," Bladedance said.
Alex still had no idea what Bladedance was talking about. "Where is she from?"
"She is a Fatekeeper," Bladedance said. "With Starsight’s absence, she is, at the moment, the acting leader of the Fatekeepers."
Alex’s eyes widened suddenly, quiet anger bubbling inside of him.
He had known for some time now that Starsight wasn’t fully responsible for what had happened to him that day in the Medicine World. It was the Divination God who had pushed things into motion. However, that didn’t change the fact that he hated the woman and the divination that she did.
It wasn’t the Divination God who had given him the title of the Destroyer. She had. If not for her, things would not have gone astray back then the way they did.
Bladedance continued. "With Starsight running away, she feels her group is responsible for everything that has happened to you. She is here to apologize to you."
Alex looked up, slightly taken aback. "She wants to apologize to me?" he asked.
Bladedance scoffed slightly. "She wants to make sure Starsight didn’t have an agenda against you and gave you a divination that was purposefully biased. If you ask me, that’s all bullshit to check you again and prove that Starsight was correct. They’re trying to get back their organization’s reputation by doing this."
Alex was left stunned for several seconds. Whatever positive thoughts he had about Quietspring or the Fatekeepers vanished in that moment like a snowflake on a hot skillet.
"May we ask how much longer we need to wait?" Sunflare asked from the side.
"Not long at all," Bladedance said before looking toward Alex. "Come, let’s get this over with, and we can go deal with those gods and diviners."
Alex nodded.
He walked over to the three bald monks and looked between them. "I can only take you all one at a time, so who wants to go first?"
Neither of the Divinities dared put themselves forward. They looked toward Sunflare and waited for his word.
