Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1880 - 1879 - Return to the Hold

Lind was preparing to change his appearance and aura when the spirit woman held up her hand.

She said no words but a familiar feeling returned to the interior as his own Heaven and Earth reconnected. The change, however, was how the interior of the beast seemed to happily drink in the vitality.

Previously, his lower world Heaven and Earth had burst in riding on his connection. He had forced the arrival while the current attempt was much smoother.

A strange flicker of understanding came to Lind.

He understood where the Yin Yang heart of Heaven and Earth came from. It was from the beast filtering out the Eternal Realm lives!

It was the regulator of the whole cycle!

A swirl of air quickly strengthened into a full gale until lightning ripped across the ceiling.

{Connection established.} The 2 words resounded in his bones but he noticed it was not as powerful as before. He was close to the final step. He would be beyond the power of everything after it, yet he had no idea what awaited him.

He stepped forward and it was as if there was no difference between his hold and the First. He was floating above the ascension pool. There had been no feeling of dislocation or tearing through space.

There was not even a ripple with his arrival!

Where was that kind of movement when he was weaker?! How was it done?!

He pushed the errant thought aside as he really took in his hold. His eyes became saucers as he saw dramatic changes and they were not made by cultivators!

The once fairly neat forests now had towering dryads and other ancient protectors of the forests easily seen moving or floating as their abilities allowed them to.

The rivers and lakes were also teeming godlike creatures of stone and liquid. There was a literal waterfall flowing upward towards a floating island he definitely did not recall existing before too!

It was like his hold had become a heaven for every fantasy fan ever!

The mountains likely had creatures of shadow and flames deep underground!

That was not all, the cultivators had jaw dropping growth. Mostly Immortals and Divine Realm cultivators stayed yet he saw some of his wives were now Eternal Realm cultivators!

How?! There was not a single sign of tribulation damage anywhere!

Before he could even ask he noticed the visiting Eternal Realm cultivators were all in the lotus position and their auras were rising even as he watched!

It was like someone had handed them the keys to their Harmonic Cores!

Unlike Spirit Caller and him, however, he noticed their progress seemed off. They had more power, but he felt like they had not truly overcome their bottleneck.

It was similar to how many 6 elementals did make better foundations but still struggled with severe bottlenecks at the major realms. They might breakthrough yet it would cost them far more time and potential than others.

A far more revitalized Shattering Fist Eternal appeared next to him. His silver fur seemed to have a luster it had not before. His usually battle crazed aura was much more subdued. It gave off a far more dangerous feeling as Lind was unsure when he would attack anymore.

He bowed low respectfully to him.

"Welcome home, Eternal Emerald Dragon. When will the war begin?" His solemn attitude was neither a tease nor flattering. It was just dead serious.

Lind looked deeply at him and many questions popped into his mind.

"A restriction fell away with the changes?" The ape nodded. Lind sighed but gestured around. "How long have things been like this?"

Shattering Fist Eternal paused and Lind felt a powerful aura flare briefly. His large head nodded as if confirming something.

"I think the short version is that we have relatively been at this for several billion years." Lind froze. What?

He quickly scanned the hold and found the cause. Time was flowing differently for different locations. Some were far faster while others were far slower. The drastic changes were due to the flow of time being changed!

Rich areas were due to much faster time nurturing it and then the time merged back to the rest of the hold. The Eternal Realm cultivators were all in faster time flows while Immortals actually got advantages in their own areas to reach the Divine Realm.

The power of Heaven and Earth had strengthened but it was still below him inside his hold. He also felt that the ascension bridge was more potent and stable.

The changes were almost like the hold was sentient! Lind flew down and found his simple courtyard had been expanded into a rather muted mansion. It was large enough to qualify but it was not overly decorated nor abusing the space it took up.

There were areas that helped nurture the surrounding nature and several beasts happily grazed in certain gardens and left freely.

Lind loved it but he concentrated on his aura as it sank to the heart of the hold. He almost fell over when he saw what was there.

The once 7 separate Origin Seeds running the Hold were now fused into a massive ethereal emerald dragon. It was him but it was not him. It was like he had created an avatar purely to run the hold.

Any doubts someone would have about his connection to the hold should have that completely shattered. He found his wives both cultivating or training their newly ascended powers.

His notes were as helpful to them as anyone. The Eternal Realm at the basics dropped the walls between all. The individual Path was the greatest difference. He found it odd not a single one of them made a hold of their own but it made sense as they likely saw his as their home.

He quickly checked the dragon core once more and sure enough, he saw it had taken in their markers! The hold was all of theirs!

He shook his head as none of the other Eternal Realm cultivators would believe him if he told them. A hold was tied to one cultivator, not able to connect to more, but his did!

He did not need to even check to confirm how. Defiance combined with possibilities opened doors even he did not expect.

It was also possible that the way he viewed his family as part of himself and his Path too, yet he would lay odds at his insane Mysteries at the Master Tier.

As soon as he crossed the threshold, he saw a formation react briefly but it was just a flare of energy. He smiled as Annabelle's work had improved even more. He could only imagine what her true peak had become.

The result was so swift even Shattering Fist Eternal retreated. Lind was swarmed by his family. They were so happy to see him but that was not the most happy thing for him. Lysanna and Kora had reached their limits at the Immortal and Divine Realm respectively but now, their auras had skyrocketed!

Kora was at the peak of the Master Tier as Lysanna gave off the aura of a Journeyman Tier! Kora was one thing as her roc bloodline could be revitalized or stimulated to break her bottleneck but Lysanna was purely human!

She had done well, better than any in her family, yet she had completely exhausted her potential. He had confirmed it himself! An Immortal could live for a very long time at the Radiant Tier yet they all knew her body would wear done eventually.

"You are all in too much of a rush." A voice froze him as his wives parted, smiling. An older woman easily walked towards him in crimson, black, and gold robes. The flying crimson crane stood out on her black lapel yet it was her aura that made his eyes saucers.

His mother stood before him. She was a Sovereign Tier! Her vitality was much stronger than it should be as well! He slowly stepped forward. Unlike Lysanna, his mother had burned her potential to reach him when he was too stubborn to listen to anyone.

She had artificially forced herself to ascend to the Radiant Tier.

Lysanna had done it naturally so a miracle was possible like his hold's changes, but his mother was different. Yet, she stood before him at the peak of the Immortal Realm and signs of nearing the next step!

"How?" No matter how crazy his powers had become, he had no idea how to restore potential. It was not actually possible aside from horrific methods but she bopped him on the nose as if he was slow.

"I was working in the Endless Peaks at my alchemical guild when a shaft of emerald light found me. Nothing stopped it. Barriers and startled guards could not even affect it. It was one of a few that came down to our world. You are so sentimental, my son." Tears formed in his eyes.

He had thought never to see her again after he became a Divine Realm cultivator. He could no longer descend and while they could bring her up, she had emphatically told them to move forward.

He fell to his knees yet her words suddenly sunk in. His head snapped up as he looked into Mira's dark green eyes.

"You said several came down? What about other worlds?!" His piercing emerald eyes made them all confused. None of them could understand until Lind looked towards the ascension pool.

{Yes, you touched her new life but she is not who she was. Do not try.} The spirits of Heaven and Earth confirmed it. Cyntilla's new life had been affected by him. She was also alive.

Still, that was enough. He had to get past the nightmare ahead and figure out the rest later.
