Kaelen hadn’t noticed the damage amplification in the first two kills because of the Divine skill’s insta-kill effects, but knowing his blade whips’ capabilities, he was certain it was none other than the Primordial Chaos Bloodline.

He could feel it.

Kaelen didn’t hesitate to pull up his player status panel for confirmation.

[Player: Kaelen Cross

Race: Slime (Common)

Class: Devourer (Mythic)

Lifeform: Tier 5

Bloodline: Primordial Chaos

Level: 0

Experience: 00 / 15

Evolution Points: 2,526,260,000]

This marked the second time he was opening his status panel since he entered the game, but the difference was like heaven and earth.

He went straight for the bloodline, clicking to expand the box for its description.

[Primordial Chaos Bloodline:

The origin that existed before mana... before elements... before creation itself.

The Primordial Chaos Bloodline is the source from which all supernatural energies were born. Mana, aura, spiritual essence, divine power, demonic energy, and every known form of mystical force are merely diluted descendants of Primordial Chaos.

All offensive abilities infused with Primordial Chaos gain 100× destructive potency, allowing even ordinary attacks to devastate enemies far beyond their original limits.]

Just like he thought, the bloodline amplified his damage a hundredfold!

If he had possessed the bloodline during the dragon battle, things would’ve gone differently, and he could’ve killed the dragon with his first attack, or with Heavenly Retribution.

The bloodline would go a long way in helping him defeat the mysterious beast on the last floor of the tower, even if it turned out to be a Divine-tier beast at a tier far beyond that of the dragon at its peak strength.

Kaelen was beyond thrilled, but didn’t let himself get distracted this time from checking the last, and most important, notification he’d ignored for a while now.

The Mythic Hidden Class...

"Devourer...?"

[Devourer (Mythic Class):

The first predator.

Before civilizations rose... Before dragons ruled... Before mana flowed...

There existed only hunger.

The Mythic Devourer is the incarnation of that primordial hunger—a being that evolves by consuming everything in existence.

Every object possesses Evolution.

Every creature possesses Evolution.

Every soul possesses Evolution.

The Devourer sees no difference.

Consume any target to convert its existence into Evolution Points.

The greater the target’s worth, the greater the Evolution harvested.

Nothing is inedible.

Nothing is sacred.

Nothing is beyond consumption.

Only the Devourer remains.]

Kaelen read the class description, then again, and again.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t understand it. He was rereading to know whether the words were cryptic, or if he could actually devour... anything.

He looked up at his last prey, which hadn’t been erased from reality like its peers, and pulled the mountain lion into his stomach to absorb it.

[You have devoured the Guardian of the Jungle.]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[You have received 120,000 Evolution Points.]

Just like his initial skepticism when using Spark of Extinction, he received more Evolution Points from devouring his prey than from simply making it "disappear."

Maybe it was because of the Devourer Class, which Kaelen had yet to fully test out.

He looked around once more in search of something that shouldn’t contain any Evolution Points.

He had already ruled out the grass and trees, as those held life within them and naturally generated Evolution Points.

Then his eyes fell upon a boulder sitting not far away.

A stone couldn’t be eaten, neither could it be digested into Evolution Points. But his class claimed otherwise.

There was only one way to find out.

Kaelen moved toward the boulder, and after inspecting it for a moment, he plopped onto it, covering its entire surface as he tried to digest it.

[You have devoured the Tome of the Fairy Goddess.]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[You have received 10,000 Evolution Points.]

Kaelen’s nonexistent eyes widened in disbelief. Though the reward was small, its success proved he could actually devour everything, and Kaelen’s definition of everything was...

He turned his head to look at the grand structure reaching up into the sky.

The dungeon tower.

Every dungeon had a magical mechanism that endlessly created monsters and generated an infinite source of Evolution Points for hardcore grinders.

If Kaelen could climb the tower, defeat its final boss, and devour the entire dungeon tower itself... how many Evolution Points would that give him?!

Kaelen almost laughed out loud, but restrained himself. He had the strong urge to charge into the tower and start grinding his way to the top, but what would happen to the beasts in the forest?

He needed every Evolution Point he could gather for the tower’s final boss.

With that clear goal in mind, he activated his [Sharp Senses] and disappeared from the spot. For the next few minutes, a series of kill notifications spammed his vision as he began hunting.

[You have killed a Three headed Bloodhound.]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[You have received 120,000 Evolution Points.]

[You have received (10) Loot Bundles.]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[Quality or Quantity?]

"Quality!"

[(1) Genetic Skill Available for Extraction: Phantom Claws]

[Do you wish to extract?]

"Extract!"

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[Phantom Claws have been upgraded to Nine Lives Claw Technique]

Kaelen intentionally avoided the area surrounding the tower, as he could sense the presence of stronger beasts grouping up outside it, most likely guilds preparing for raids.

In just a few minutes, the entire forest had fallen deathly silent, with no signs of life. Though there were still beasts farther away, Kaelen wasn’t planning on covering the entire forest and left that for after he’d conquered the tower.

He returned to the area surrounding the tower and stepped into the clearing where players were being recruited by guilds.

"Stephanie, I can’t believe we both got accepted into the White Vanguard Guild. Arhhh~" a beast girl hopped in excitement as she hugged the arm of her elven friend.

They were about to go on their first rookie raid in the Dark Tower, and though it could be dangerous for Tier 3s, they weren’t going in alone, and had also heard several top guilds were raiding the dungeon that same day.

What could possibly go wrong?
