The notifications clearly stated Kaelen had transcended mortality, and the fruit stated it could permanently destroy future evolution restrictions.

That could only mean one thing...

There was only so far players could grow and evolve, and when they reached that realm, they were at the pinnacle of mortality and couldn’t evolve any further.

Maybe it was Tier 9 like the Mythic Dragon, or Tier 10 like the Divine Titan hailed as the strongest beast in existence. Whichever player reached that level would become stuck until they somehow found a way to transcend mortality, just as Kaelen had with the Primordial black fruit, giving him the ability to evolve limitlessly.

As long as there were enough Evolution Points to evolve, Kaelen could ascend infinitely.

For some reason, the 10,000× Reward System began to make sense at this stage. At first it felt like a cheat, but now Kaelen understood it was literally impossible to attain enough Evolution Points to evolve infinitely, as it only got harder and more costly with every evolution.

Kaelen might have over 60 billion Evolution Points in his account at the moment, but the more he evolved, the less these large numbers mattered.

To evolve to Tier 10, Kaelen needed no less than 10 billion Evolution Points. And Tier 11 would only cost more than that, making the numbers completely insignificant and leaving Kaelen with nothing if he didn’t find stronger enemies.

He stepped out of his pod and was just about to grab his phone when he noticed the high-end computer setup in a corner of the room and immediately went for it instead.

The post was about an ancient ruin in the middle of nowhere that only appeared once a decade, nicknamed the City of Atlantis due to the way it rose from the depths of the water.

Technically, it hadn’t been a decade in-game since Evolution Online was released, but the anonymous poster claimed it was insider information. The entire roster of star players and top guilds in Evolution Online were expected to show up for this expedition.

Kaelen thought for a moment. The level of difficulty was unknown, as the poster didn’t mention it, but the fact that all the star players and top guilds would be showing up told him it might be on the level of the Tower of Belmont or even higher.

Most of the comments under the post called it "cap" and fake news, as such information had never been released by the game developers or confirmed by any of the top players or guilds mentioned. But Kaelen thought it was worth checking out.
