Extra's Path To Demon King
Chapter 591: This is the story that you started [1]Axel, remaining in his humanoid state, gazed down from the sky at the trembling Dusker heir standing on the roof below. Ken looked up at him with wide, horror-filled eyes, his body shaking uncontrollably.
A subtle smile tugged at the corners of Axel’s lips as a quiet sense of deep satisfaction bloomed from the depths of his heart. Stopping the propulsion force of mana that kept him suspended in the air, Axel allowed gravity to take hold.
His figure began to fall through the sky, his body maintaining a perfectly balanced posture even as his falling speed increased exponentially with every passing second.
Beside him, Daniel Nomrad flapped his massive silver metallic wings, diving down at the same breakneck speed toward the estate.
BANG!
With a resounding, stone-shattering crack, Axel’s feet slammed onto the bloody, ruined roof of the Dusker mansion. He landed mere inches beside the heavy iron spear, upon which the severed, smiling head of Duke Allen remained pinned.
The moment Axel landed, Ken involuntarily stumbled several steps backwards. It felt as though the sheer physical and spiritual weight of his Demonic Lord was pushing against him.
Having the ultimate source of his dark bloodline standing so close to him created an aura of oppression on an entirely different scale.
His very veins burned with a compulsion to surrender to the Demon with absolute sincerity, forcing his mind to obey Axel’s every implicit desire.
It took every single ounce of Ken’s remaining willpower to keep from collapsing onto his knees and becoming a mindless thrall, bowing subconsciously to his Lord’s slightest movement.
While Ken fought his agonising internal battle, the surviving members of the Dusker household forces remained frozen like statues.
They stared at the scene in absolute bewilderment, unable to comprehend why the Nomrad heir had descended from the sky or where the massive Demon of Despair had gone.
Yet, a chilling sensation kept every one of them from moving a muscle. A silent, suffocating wave of instinctual threat radiated outward from Axel Nomrad, piercing straight into their minds and paralysing their limbs with cold dread.
Standing around the perimeter, Axel’s demonic followers remained completely motionless as well. They stood in quiet, orderly silence, doing nothing except waiting patiently for the command of their lord.
The moment he gave the word, they would move to slaughter everyone present without the slightest hesitation.
Suddenly, the heavy metal door leading up from the mansion interior cracked open with a loud, metallic screech. The sudden noise immediately drew the attention of every person on the roof.
Through the doorway stepped the very woman who stood at the origin of the Demon’s unyielding wrath. It was the Duchess of the Dusker household, the forlorn former princess of Suncrest, Livia Dusker.
She had somehow broken free from the power-sealing artefact that bound her seeker abilities. Dashing forward with all the speed her body could muster, she threw herself in front of her son, standing like an immovable shield to protect her child just as any mother would.
Livia glared at Axel, her face twisted with boundless fury and deep disgust.
She shouted at the top of her lungs, her voice echoing over the quiet roof. "DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH MY SON WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS! YOU SCUM BORN FROM THAT WORTHLESS STREET WHORE!"
A deafening silence fell over the rooftop immediately after those words left her mouth. Not a single soul dared to draw a breath, nor did anyone make the slightest sound.
Axel’s demonic followers were visibly stunned by her sheer audacity, their dark eyes widening in disbelief that a human would dare speak such words to their Lord.
The remaining fighters of the Dusker family watched the scene with grim, terrified expressions, knowing the terrible consequences such words would bring.
Ken’s eyes trembled violently, his mind completely freezing in horror at what his mother had just uttered.
Axel, however, let out a low, amused chuckle. He was not surprised by her hateful statement in the slightest.
Seeing no immediate reaction, the Duchess turned toward the remaining house seekers and screamed at them in desperation. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? KILL THIS WORTHLESS BASTARD RIGHT NOW!"
Driven by her direct command, the surviving powerhouses of the Dusker household brushed aside their lingering unease and charged toward Axel Nomrad at full speed. Since the terrifying Demon who had slain their Duke was nowhere to be seen, these fighters began to regain a false sense of courage.
Moreover, they could not disobey the Duchess, who held the highest authority in the family following the Duke’s demise.
Axel’s calm gaze remained locked directly onto the eyes of the Duchess, a subtle, cold smile lingering on his lips. He did not move, seemingly unbothered by her words, her furious expression, or the approaching squad of elite seekers.
His demonic followers prepared to intercept the incoming attack, but an irrefutable bloodline command from Axel suddenly forced them to halt in their tracks.
Just as the devastating barrage of attacks was about to rain down upon Axel, an unexpected figure moved at shocking speed. It was the last person anyone expected to act: Ken Dusker, who had been standing silently behind his protective mother.
In less than a fraction of a second, Ken’s body underwent a horrific transformation into a monstrous demonic visage. His physical strength, speed, and energy reserves multiplied many times over in an instant.
His form blurred into a blinding black flash, moving so fast that none of the charging seekers could track his movements.
Within a matter of moments, Ken mercilessly slaughtered every single seeker of his own household below the fourth phase.
The moment the lower phase fighters were eliminated, Axel’s bloodline restriction lifted, allowing his demonic thralls to move once more. Gareth led the assault with relentless fury, hurling himself at the two remaining fourth phase powerhouses.
The other thralls surrounded the two high-level fighters, launching continuous long-range attacks to create openings for Gareth to strike.
Slowly, the towering demonic form of Ken shifted back into his humanoid state. He stood amidst the fresh corpses of his own loyal guards, having carried out the massacre without receiving a single spoken order from Axel.
