The door opened after a few moments.
Sylvia was already dressed.
She was wearing a short emerald-green dress that stopped just above her thighs, exposing her fair skin. A pair of white heels completed the outfit.
She stepped outside, closed the door behind her, and walked right past me without saying anything.
A small frown appeared on my face. "Where are you going?" I asked immediately.
She stopped just long enough to glance at me over her shoulder.
"Do I have to report where I’m going?"
The coldness in her voice made my chest tighten.
I lowered my eyes. "I’m sorry, Sylvia."
She let out a quiet laugh. Not the laugh I loved.
This one was empty.
She turned to face me. "You know what, Amelia..."
She paused for a second.
"Let’s stop this."
I froze.
It felt as though a sharp arrow had pierced straight through my heart, tearing it apart.
I blinked a few times before forcing a small smile that didn’t reach my eyes.
"...What is that supposed to mean?
"
"It means exactly what you think it means."
She turned around and started walking away.
"Sylvia."
I quickly reached out and caught her wrist. She immediately pulled her hand away.
For a moment, I stared at my empty hand before looking back at her.
"...Are you going to meet that guy from the hospital?" I asked quietly.
She looked at me without any expression.
"That’s none of your business."
My heart sank.
Those words alone confirmed everything I’d been trying not to believe. The pain inside me twisted into something hotter.
She started walking away again. Before she could take another step, I caught her arm.
"What are you doing?" she snapped.
"Let go of me."
I didn’t answer.
Instead, I pulled her back inside and shut the door behind us. She struggled to pull away, but I stepped in front of her, blocking her path.
I stepped closer until her back lightly touched the wall.
Her back brushed lightly against the wall. Neither of us looked away.
"It’s none of my business..." I repeated quietly.
A bitter smile tugged at the corner of my lips. "Is that what you really think?"
She folded her arms and met my gaze without flinching.
"Move."
I shook my head. "No."
My voice was low but firm.
"If you’re really going to leave..."
"If you’re really going to see him..."
"Then at least look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t love me anymore."
She glared back at me without saying a word.
The air between us felt unbearably heavy.
A few moments passed before she finally looked away.
She blinked slowly, as though forcing herself to say the words.
"I don’t love you anymore... Amelia."
The words settled over us like a death sentence. For a second, I forgot how to breathe.
I realize I might actually lose her. A small, awkward smile appeared on my face. The kind of smile people wore when their hearts had just been shattered.
I nodded slowly. "...Fine."
My voice was barely above a whisper. "If that’s what you want to believe..."
I took a step closer, never taking my eyes off hers.
"Then I’ll make you fall in love with me again."
I could feel my heart breaking with every word, but I didn’t stop.
"I don’t care how long it takes."
"I don’t care how hard it is."
"I’ll remind you why you loved me in the first place."
A faint smile tugged at the corner of my lips. "And this time..."
"I won’t let you think about leaving me again so easily."
"Do you know what hurt the most, Amelia? Not Camila. Not the kiss. It was realizing I didn’t know where I stood with you anymore," Sylvia finally said.
"I’m afraid of losing you, but I don’t know how to show that without pushing you away."
I slowly lifted my hand and rested it against the back of Sylvia’s neck.
She didn’t move. I gently drew her closer until only a breath separated us.
My eyes searched hers one last time.
Then I closed the distance between us. My lips found hers in a soft, lingering kiss.
She didn’t pull away. She didn’t respond either.
She simply stood there, letting it happen.
I kissed her a little deeper, silently pouring every apology, every fear, and every unspoken feeling into that single moment.
Her lips were warm beneath mine.
When I finally pulled back, our faces were still only inches apart.
I searched her eyes, hoping to find even the smallest crack in the wall she had built around her heart.
But all I found was silence.
I leaned over and pulled her into a hungry and possessive kiss. My mouth was hot and demanding as my tongue swept to claim territory that had always been mine.
Sylvia’s lips parted in invitation. My fingertips touched her ankle. A single index finger traced the knob of bone there, circled it with excruciating slowness, and dragged a line up the ridge of her Achilles tendon.
Sylvia’s breath caught high in her chest as a soft sound escaped her.
"Ahh."
I licked the roof of her mouth, savoring the sweet banana-flavored ice cream she had eaten.
She leaned in and started kissing me back. Her hands wrapped around my waist like a lifesaver.
Sylvia gasped as she reached one of her hands to my back, drawing me closer. Her mouth greedily swallowed mine.
I pulled back to look at her. A small frown of disappointment played across her face as she parted her lips, staring at me.
I smiled and set my school bag on the floor, enjoying how desperate and hungry she was for me.
I cupped her face as she captured my lips, deepening the kiss. I reached down and cupped her breasts through her bra beneath her gown, giving them a rough but gentle squeeze.
"Minnie..." she gasped between our kisses.
I pulled back, bent down, and kissed the sensitive skin on her neck. Her grip tightened on my uniform as she tilted her head back, giving me more room.
I kissed her collarbone, and she twitched and gasped at every touch.
I reached out with my free hand and grabbed the cheeks of her butt.
Damn it...
They were so soft.
Sylvia closed her eyes as a soft, sweet moan escaped her lips.
"Ahh."
I straightened up and started kissing her again, sliding my hand under her gown as I reached for her soft butt.
I gave it a rough squeeze as I felt it trembling beneath my touch.
"Please..." Sylvia pleaded as I swallowed the word down.
I pulled back to catch our breath. Sylvia rested her forehead against mine, then pulled back enough to look at me.
She stared at me, her breathing still unsteady.
"Minnie... please."
"I need you," she whispered.
I rested my forehead against hers, searching her eyes. A small smile tugged at my lips as I brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"Right here?" I murmured, my voice gentle.
She closed her eyes for a moment, exhaling softly before looking back at me, her fingers tightening around my hand as if afraid to let go.
She nodded slowly.
This was exactly what I wanted to hear. Her voice, her plea, her need—all of it was for me. In that moment, I wanted to believe I was the only person she would ever reach for.
The thought sent a fierce, possessive warmth through my chest.
I kissed her on the lips and walked back to the sofa, leaving her standing there, visibly flustered.
I sat down with one leg crossed over the other. A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I watched her.
She was almost unbearably adorable. I couldn’t take my eyes off her, not even for a second. Every flustered glance, every shaky breath, every hesitant movement drew me in even more.
My heart urged me to close the distance between us, but I held myself back. I wanted to know that she was choosing me.
That in this moment, I was the only person she wanted to reach for. The thought alone was enough to make the anticipation almost unbearable.
"Fine," I said, folding my arms across my chest.
"If that’s what you want, then I’ll agree—but only if you accept two conditions."
Sylvia stared at me, still resting against the wall. She pulled away a little, her eyes still fixed on mine.
I looked down at her, watching the tremble that betrayed everything she was trying to hide.
There was something haunting about the way she looked at me, like she was caught between wanting to run and wanting to stay.
The thought that she chose me, that she reached for me and no one else, stirred something dark and dangerous inside me.
The intensity of the moment, the way she looked at me as if I were the only person who mattered, the way her body was screaming desperately for me. For my touch, my attention, my kisses and that alone pulled me deeper into the feeling I couldn’t escape.
"What are your conditions?" she finally asked.
"First, ..." I said, looking her over.
"Strip for me."
"And second, touch yourself and seduce me."
