Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2497: Will Caddel Grips Her Wrist

After dinner, Will Caddel took Jasmine Yale to the auction.

The auction was held in a small mansion.

The mansion was quiet and deep, giving a Zen feeling of a winding path leading into a secluded place.

The auction venue was brightly lit, the largest venue in the mansion, and the most lively place.

There were many people coming and going, and Jasmine followed Will, curiously looking around. Although she seemed inexperienced, Will didn’t think she lacked knowledge; instead, he enthusiastically introduced various flowers and the oil paintings on the walls.

People from all over the world were there, both men and women.

Walking to a corridor, Jasmine looked up quietly at the oil paintings on the wall.

There were landscapes, young women, and buildings... all very impressive.

While looking, Jasmine looked up again and accidentally lost sight of Will!

She panicked and immediately widened her eyes to search around: "CEO Caddel, CEO Caddel."

Will was in the crowd, and when he saw the anxious Jasmine, he quickly went over and grabbed her wrist: "I’m here, follow me, don’t get lost."

"There are too many people here." Jasmine breathed a sigh of relief, still feeling tense.

There were indeed too many people.

"Yes, there are many, and the corridor is winding, the path hard to find; follow me, don’t get lost."

"What if I get lost."

"Call my phone, I’ll come to find you immediately."

Will kept hold of her wrist and led her through the crowded people, heading to the center of the venue.

The auction start time was still early, Will took her around to look, his face calm and composed.

It was Jasmine’s first time in such a place, and she was very nervous: "CEO Caddel, do you come here often?"

"I’ve been here once or twice, not often, but I have a good memory and remember the details."

"So during the auction later, do I need to do anything?" Jasmine asked nervously, looking up at him.

Seeing her so nervous, Will laughed: "You don’t need to do anything, just sit beside me and watch."

"Alright..."

To ease her tension, Will took her to a less crowded place to see the Chinese painting exhibit.

Whenever Jasmine encountered something she didn’t understand, she asked him, and he was patient.

With half an hour before the auction started, Will led her into the venue. Their seats were toward the back, not very conspicuous.

People gradually filled the venue, soon it was full, and the lights slowly dimmed from being initially brightly lit.

As time arrived, the host made a speech, followed by the main event, the auction.

The lights were turned off, and the venue fell into darkness.

In an instant, everyone was quiet, no one spoke.

In the darkness, Will tightened his grip on her wrist, attempting to ease her discomfort.

It was Jasmine’s first time at such an auction; she felt both nervous and anticipatory. She was very much looking forward to the unveiling of each piece, surely they would be splendid.

Will was very composed, leaning back on the seat, his brows clear and eyes sharp.

Once a piece was displayed, there would be corresponding adjustments to the lights.

The first item was a manuscript by Balzac, exuding an antique yellowish hue, appearing aged.

The people present began to bid.

Will showed no reaction, Jasmine guessed he probably wasn’t interested in these.

Jasmine wasn’t interested in this either.

"Six million."

"Eight million."

"Nine million."

"Nine million five hundred thousand."

A group of interested people began bidding.

The venue became lively, Jasmine wasn’t as nervous anymore, rather intrigued.
