Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2502: That Was Embarrassing for Me

The second half of the auction took place half an hour later.

Jasmine Yale and Will Caddel returned to their seats.

The venue was still packed with people, a dense crowd swarming about.

Jasmine Yale no longer felt nervous at all. Instead, she appreciated each item with a discerning eye, sometimes quietly discussing interesting pieces with Will Caddel.

If she didn’t understand something, she would ask Will Caddel, who would patiently explain it to her.

Jasmine Yale gained a lot from this.

As the weather gradually warmed up and with so many people in the venue, Jasmine Yale soon felt hot and took off her light blazer.

Will Caddel turned his head and reached out his hand, "Let me hold that for you."

"I can hold it myself."

"Insisting on keeping me at arm’s length makes me feel quite embarrassed," Will Caddel teased, knowing that she was simply someone who didn’t like to trouble others, always cautious and meticulous.

"Is that so?" Jasmine Yale replied sheepishly.

Will Caddel’s hand remained extended, "Let me hold it for you."

Only then did Jasmine Yale comply, placing her coat in his hand.

The auction continued.

Will Caddel didn’t find anything else particularly desirable, so he didn’t bid again and casually chatted with Jasmine Yale.

In the jewelry auction of the second half, there was a golden bracelet shaped like bamboo joints, quite beautiful, with jade inlay.

The bracelet was eventually sold for fifteen million, and Jasmine Yale curiously noted it seemed to be bought by Erin Janus’s assistant.

She didn’t pay much more attention to it.

"CEO Caddel, do you frequent auctions like this?"

"Not often. There are many auctions in Cakago every month. For high-end ones like this, they usually happen once every six months or a year. I check the brochures beforehand and attend if something interests me."

"I see, this is my first time attending one."

"Next time there’s another one, I might have you help me bid and compete."

"Sure, I won’t be nervous anymore."

"As long as you’re not nervous. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. At work, everyone makes errors. No one can be perfect, so don’t put too much pressure on yourself or be too hard on yourself."

"Got it! But I have to keep errors to a minimum or even zero, within my capabilities, right?"

"Very insightful." Will Caddel smiled.

Jasmine Yale smiled too; Will Caddel was never stingy with his compliments towards her.

When she worked under Sylvan Cheney, she learned a lot as well, but the attitudes and teaching methods of Sylvan Cheney and Will Caddel were completely different.

One was stern and harsh, while the other was gentle and persuasive.

There was no point in comparing.

"On Saturday morning, I’m going to the golf course. Want to join?" Will Caddel asked.

"Saturday... I think I’ll pass. I want to spend time with my family."

"Alright." Will Caddel didn’t insist.

The auction was still bustling, and the sun had moved from overhead to the west, marking the time of sunset.

Halfway through, Jasmine Yale took a trip to the restroom.

The restrooms in the manor were luxuriously decorated, with faucets cast in golden hues and opulence, a stark contrast to the ambiance outside the manor.

After exiting the restroom, Jasmine Yale stood in a quiet corner to catch her breath.

Taking a deep breath, she looked upwards, silently squinting her eyes towards the sunset in the sky.

The evening glow was at its peak, the white clouds having long been tinted orange, resembling an oil painting, vividly and richly colored.
