Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2538: You Really Are a Bastard

Little Clementine affectionately rubbed against his face.

A child’s hand has a distinct warmth, soft and fluffy, causing Sylvan Cheney’s heart to tingle with an electric-like sensation.

It was a rare sight in the park to see a young man holding a child, so glances were occasionally cast their way.

Everyone thought Little Clementine was adorable, and some even stopped to touch her.

Little Clementine didn’t care for them; if they tried to touch her, she would bury her little face in Sylvan Cheney’s chest.

"Sir, your daughter is really cute, and she looks a lot like you." An elderly person said with a smile.

Sylvan Cheney smiled, "Yes, and very smart too."

"Handsome dad, beautiful mom, that’s how such a good-looking baby is born, it’s enviable."

The crowd grew thicker, and Jasmine Yale frowned, not wanting to cause a scene.

She approached Sylvan Cheney, "Let me hold her."

"It’s still early, are you in a hurry to take Little Clementine home?" Sylvan Cheney asked.

"It’s not about being in a hurry, it’s just time for us to go," Jasmine Yale’s face remained expressionless, very cold.

Sylvan Cheney, feeling helpless, could only feed Little Clementine one last bite of lollipop before reluctantly handing her over.

"I’ve often dreamed of Little Clementine these days, and holding her today made me realize that no dream can compare to reality."

"Don’t you think you’re being overly sentimental? No matter how cute Little Clementine is, she has nothing to do with you."

"You’re right..." Sylvan Cheney chuckled wryly, a profound and unfathomable darkness in his eyes.

Jasmine Yale held Little Clementine and put her back in the stroller.

This time, Sylvan Cheney did not stop her.

Jasmine Yale picked up Little Clementine’s hat and put it back on her, shielding her from the sun. Little Clementine’s big eyes gazed longingly at Sylvan Cheney and the lollipop in his hand.

Sylvan Cheney handed the lollipop to Jasmine Yale, "Take it, Little Clementine quite likes it."

"No need."

"Must we do this?"

"Do what?" Jasmine Yale looked at him coldly, "Sylvan Cheney, you’d better remember what you said: don’t see Little Clementine again, and stop coming to Cakago drunk to cause a scene. Little Clementine is too young to remember now, but when she’s older, how do you expect her to see me? Like Erin Janus said, as the other woman? Ha..."

"I never saw you as the other woman."

"Oh? Then what do you see me as? Someone to satisfy your desires when you’re drunk, or a one-night stand in Cakago?"

"Jasmine Yale, you’re too extreme!"

"How am I being extreme? You think what I’m saying isn’t true? I still remember what you did to me in that suite last time! Or have you already forgotten?"

Sylvan Cheney knitted his brows, remaining silent.

"President, don’t use being drunk as an excuse. If you lose control when you’re drunk, then you really are worthless," Jasmine Yale said bluntly, "Mess with me today, mess with someone else tomorrow; no one would dare get close to a man like you."

"I’m not that promiscuous."

"You don’t need to tell me, and I don’t want to know. We’ve already broken up. President, do you understand breakup?"

Sylvan Cheney didn’t speak, under Jasmine Yale’s aggressive tone, he remained very silent.

Over the past year, Jasmine Yale had changed a lot. Her face was full of stubbornness; the frail shadow from before was gone. Now, seeing her again, she was no longer that fragile pregnant woman.
