Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2540: Your Daughter Is Very BlessedWill Caddel was a decisive man with a keen sense of time. When Jasmine Yale came out, he was already waiting at the entrance of the community.
"CEO Caddel, are you going to the office to get the documents?" Jasmine sat beside him.
"I’ve already got them." Will pointed to his briefcase.
"I should have done that. Sorry, CEO Caddel, for making you go to the trouble."
"It’s alright, I don’t mind these things," Will said casually. "Besides, this business trip was arranged at the last minute. By getting the documents myself, we save time."
The Bentley sped through the night, cutting through the sky.
The moon intermittently appeared and disappeared, hidden among the layers of clouds, and the sky was filled with countless twinkling stars, too many to count.
The road to the airport was wide and quiet, with vehicles flowing continuously.
Inside the car, it was very quiet. Jasmine could hear both her own and Will’s breathing. Neither of them spoke, with Will leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed, and Jasmine quietly gazing at the scenery outside the window.
Probably because she had taken a nap earlier, she didn’t feel sleepy. Normally, she would have fallen asleep on a pillow by now.
When they arrived at the airport, there was still one hour before the flight time.
Will sat in the waiting room, ordered a cup of coffee, and opened his laptop.
Jasmine sat across from him, flipping through some documents. When she looked up, she immediately spotted a store across the way that sold plush toys.
The store was filled with colorful little toys that were irresistibly cute.
Jasmine stared at the store for a long time, then quietly slipped past Will and out of the waiting room, walking towards the store.
There were many customers in the store, and Jasmine walked along the shelves, looking at each item.
They were all small items that were easy to carry.
Ever since becoming a mother, Jasmine wanted to buy fun things whenever she saw them, to take them home to Little Clementine.
Her salary was pretty good now, and she also received a decent amount of bonuses. Since her personal expenses weren’t high, most of her money was spent on Little Clementine.
She focused intently on the shelves, sometimes bending down, sometimes looking up.
In the waiting room, Will looked up and didn’t see Jasmine, which startled him. He immediately stood up.
Just as he was about to call her name, through the glass, he saw the graceful and calm Jasmine among the crowd.
Though not too far, yet not too near, there was a sense of vagueness as she moved slowly through the crowd, looking carefully.
She would occasionally pick up one or two small items to study them carefully. If something amused her, she would smile happily, and the dimples on both sides of her mouth would become very prominent.
Will’s gaze stayed on her face for a long time, not moving away.
Through the glass, he quietly watched her figure, his sight following her steps.
Jasmine picked and chose in the store and finally picked a talking Little Canary.
When Jasmine returned, Will was still standing in the same spot.
"CEO Caddel, I just went to buy something." Jasmine cheerfully clutched the Little Canary, the hem of her light green dress fluttering, fresh and delightful.
"Is it for your daughter?"
"Yes! It’s for Little Clementine. She should like it, right? CEO Caddel, do you think it’s cute?"
"Being your daughter is quite a blessing." Will smiled.
She really was the type of woman who, whenever she opened her mouth or went anywhere, would always talk about her daughter, as if that little girl was her whole world.
"Really?" Jasmine felt a bit embarrassed by Will’s compliment.
"It’s very cute and interesting," Will praised.
