The premiere lasted for just an hour and a half, and afterwards, Justin Usama personally took Jasmine Yale home.
Justin is very considerate, someone who knows how to take care of others.
As they were nearing the entrance of the community, he suggested, "Jasmine, can you bring your daughter out to meet me? You’ve always mentioned her, but I’ve never seen her."
"Then wait for me downstairs for a moment, I’ll go upstairs and fetch her. I’m not sure if she’s asleep."
"Okay, if she’s asleep, forget it. If she’s awake, bring her down."
Jasmine agreed.
The car stopped, and Justin accompanied her to the building where she lived, waiting for her in the shade of the hallway.
The summer evening was still stifling hot, with no breeze, the sun still sizzling the earth, and the tree leaves drooping listlessly on the branches, spiritless.
Jasmine brought Little Clementine down with a hat on.
Little Clementine happened to be awake, and Jasmine brought her downstairs, which made her very happy, not minding the heat at all.
Little Clementine liked to nibble on her fingers, and Jasmine kept pulling her hand away: "Silly girl, it’s silly to eat your fingers, you know."
Laughing as they talked, the elevator reached the ground floor.
Justin leaned against the wall, patiently waiting, and when he saw Jasmine holding Little Clementine, he walked over with a beaming smile.
"Little Clementine looks so much like you, prettier than in the photos." Justin moved closer to look at Little Clementine, "Her eyes are so big, so bright, so fair, your daughter is adorable."
"Hehe, she loves being praised; when someone compliments her, she gets happy. When I call her little glutton, little devil, she gets upset." Jasmine pinched her little hand.
Little Clementine glanced at Justin, then continued playing with the jingling cat in her hand.
She shook the jingling cat, and the little bell around its neck went "ding ding".
As soon as the bell sounded, the little one laughed with a sense of accomplishment.
"Little Clementine, would you like uncle to hold you?" Justin leaned closer, coaxing her.
Little Clementine didn’t react much, still playing with her jingling cat.
Jasmine also coaxed her: "Little one, come on, let’s let uncle hold you for a bit. Uncle really likes you; uncle will buy you toys, okay?"
Saying this, Jasmine was about to hand Little Clementine over to Justin.
But before Justin could take her, Little Clementine wriggled her bottom, burrowed into Jasmine’s arms, pressed her little face tightly against Jasmine’s chest, and refused.
"Come on, our Little Clementine isn’t so stingy, let uncle hold you for a bit." Jasmine coaxed again.
Unfortunately, Little Clementine just wouldn’t cooperate, her little feet moving around, unwilling.
Jasmine straightforwardly said to Justin: "You can hold her, it’s fine. She’s just a bit shy."
"Kids are all a bit shy, it’s okay." Justin laughed, opening his arms to receive Little Clementine.
He lifted Little Clementine, and just as he was about to hold her tight, Little Clementine’s face scrunched up, her eyes turned red, and she burst into tears.
"You little devil, why are you crying..." Jasmine patted her little hand, "Did uncle not bring you a gift? Let uncle hold you, and next time he’ll bring you lots and lots of gifts, okay, no more crying."
Little Clementine was not persuaded, crying even louder, throwing a tantrum.
She wouldn’t let Jasmine touch her hand, even threw the jingling cat to the ground, and kept crying loudly in Justin’s arms!
Jasmine, afraid of disturbing the neighbors, had no choice but to take Little Clementine back from Justin’s arms: "You naughty girl."
Justin bent down to pick up the jingling cat from the ground and stuffed it into Little Clementine’s arms.
