Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2558: CEO Cheney, Why Are You Here?

Sylvan Cheney grabbed her hand, exerted a little force, and pulled her into his embrace.

Little Clementine really liked Sylvan Cheney’s shirt and shoulders. As soon as she pounced over, she rubbed her little head against his clothes, burying her small face in his neck.

Her fuzzy little head rubbed against Sylvan Cheney, giving Sylvan a sense of familiarity.

Little Clementine rubbed while making "bo bo" sounds, overjoyed, and her small hands clutched Sylvan Cheney’s clothes, refusing to let go.

No one knew whether it was the pleasant scent on Sylvan Cheney or the warmth of his embrace, but Little Clementine nestled in his arms, a small bundle, very well-behaved.

Butler Santana noticed how Sylvan Cheney held Little Clementine, and it reminded him of years ago when Sylvan held Mr. Chale Cheney.

Many years have passed...

However, Little Clementine was different from Mr. Chale. Little Clementine was more lively and more attached to Mr. Cheney.

"Drooling again..." Sylvan Cheney said helplessly, watching Little Clementine in his arms wiping her drool on his clothes, "No candy today."

Butler Santana hurriedly wiped for Little Clementine: "Sorry, CEO Cheney, let me hold her; Little Clementine might dirty your clothes."

"It’s okay, she likes when I hold her."

Butler Santana withdrew his hand and looked at Sylvan Cheney and Little Clementine.

Little Clementine lay in Sylvan Cheney’s arms, sometimes rubbing his neck, sometimes tugging at his buttons with her little hand, and sometimes staring at his hand, never idle.

"CEO Cheney, why are you here?" Butler Santana asked cautiously.

"Passing by."

"Oh, I see." Butler Santana nodded, "Where are you staying now?"

"Old York."

Sylvan Cheney wasn’t much of a talker; most of the time, he just held Little Clementine, looking down at her face.

Under the shade of the trees, Little Clementine’s face appeared even fairer and more tender, innocent and adorable.

"CEO Cheney... do you like Little Clementine?"

"She’s quite a cute child."

"Yes, very adorable, just a bit mischievous. She’s better now, but when she was first born, she wouldn’t sleep at night. Miss Yale had a hard time, not getting much sleep at night. Then, when Miss Yale got a job, it became even harder, working during the day and comforting the little one at night... I’m sorry, I’m saying too much." Butler Santana couldn’t stop talking when it came to Little Clementine, almost forgetting who he was speaking to.

Sylvan Cheney didn’t respond, just soothed the little one in his arms.

The little one tugged on Sylvan Cheney’s shirt buttons, pulling hard, finding it very fun.

When Sylvan looked at her, she obediently let go; when he didn’t, she’d mischievously pull again.

"CEO Cheney, your wife is due soon, isn’t she..." Butler Santana asked softly.

"Hmm."

"Oh, that’s good, that’s good." Butler Santana said nothing more. "Let me hold Little Clementine; she’s moving around and wrinkling your clothes."

Butler Santana saw Sylvan Cheney’s originally smooth and clean shirt now all wrinkled by Little Clementine.

"It’s okay, I’ll hold her." Sylvan Cheney didn’t let go.

Little Clementine lay in Sylvan Cheney’s arms, her small face pressed against his heart.

There was a unique milky fragrance on children, very pleasant. Little Clementine, a small bundle, was like a soft little milk bun, soft and delicate.

Her hair brushed against Sylvan Cheney, always giving him a peculiar sensation, very special.

Perhaps... it’s because he hasn’t held such a small child before.

Several times, Butler Santana seemed to want to say something but hesitated, moving his lips in the end, saying nothing.
