Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2609: Want Another Baby

"Isn’t one Justin enough for you? Do you have to get tangled up with Will Caddel too? Hmm?" He looked up, gazing at her, his eyes deep and thin lips curled up.

"Mind your own damn business, Sylvan Cheney. Whether I get involved with one, two, or ten men, it’s none of your concern."

"Ten men? You’ve got quite the appetite. Is this how you set an example for Little Clementine?"

Jasmine Yale felt utterly exhausted; she didn’t like this endless entanglement: "Say whatever you want, just don’t mention CEO Caddel."

"The way you looked at me tonight, it’s like... you haven’t forgotten me?" he laughed.

"Don’t be so self-delusional. When you look into my eyes, don’t you see disgust and loathing? Forget you? I haven’t even cared enough to need to forget."

"Oh? That’s for the best. I was worried you couldn’t let me go, that I still linger in your heart, making me the worst kind of villain and harm to you? After all, I wouldn’t marry you. But I was surprised by how much you drank; women should drink less to avoid losing control afterwards."

"Don’t worry, I don’t drink much. Alcohol’s harmful to the body. I’m hoping to be healthy enough to have another baby soon. Two kids would be great, two daughters would be nice too."

"With Justin Usama?"

"Mind your own damn business, hmm?" She smiled, her eyes cold as ice.

"..." Sylvan Cheney chuckled, grabbing her wrist, "You’ve improved."

"Sylvan Cheney, isn’t your wife at home waiting for you to warm the bed? Aren’t you headed home? Women feel lonelier at night. Aren’t you afraid she’ll cheat on you? Haha..."

"You care so much about her. Jealous? Envious? Or just can’t have what you want?"

"Can you just leave already?!" Jasmine Yale was shaking with anger; he always seemed to find a way to provoke her, one word capable of hitting her nerve.

Because he had the power to hurt.

"Don’t glare at me like that, Jasmine Yale. We won’t see each other much after this. Erin Janus and I will soon be settling in Sinkapore, so then, out of sight, out of mind, hmm?"

"You’re finally leaving... ha, ha..." Jasmine Yale laughed, wildly and hysterically, "You’re finally going far away... You should’ve left long ago, should’ve taken your wife and kids far away... Sinkapore... Sinkapore is so nice... I’ve been there many times, even lived there for a while... lived there... you’re finally leaving..."

"Telling you in advance so you can give up, stop thinking about me. Get married if you should, have another child if you want, but beware, don’t come to Sinkapore, or I’ll think you’re doing it on purpose."

"Sylvan Cheney, you’re finally leaving... that’s great... you’re finally leaving..." Her eyes drifted as she looked at him, there was only Sylvan Cheney in her pupils, but they were out of focus, lacking luster, "I’ve waited long for this day; you won’t be harassing me anymore... Go, go far away... Never see me again in this lifetime..."

"As you wish, once I’m in Sinkapore, we won’t meet again."

"That’s great, truly great." Jasmine Yale smiled, "I’m finally at peace... I wish you and Miss Janus a harmonious life, with children in Sinkapore, always in love."

"Since you’re wishing me well, I ought to say ’thank you.’"

"Why say thanks? Between us, saying ’goodbye’ seems more fitting."
