Jian Yufei kept chatting idly. "But why did you suddenly decide to take me on a trip?"

"I’ve got more free time lately."

Beside the road stretched a large meadow, with some tall trees scattered around.

Ruan Tianling took Jian Yufei out of the car, planning to cook under one of the big trees.

Ruan Tianling hauled out a charcoal stove and a pot from the RV’s utility compartment, deciding to stir-fry a few dishes for Jian Yufei.

While he was getting ready to cook, Jian Yufei set up the little dining table under the tree, laid out the bowls and chopsticks, then spread a blanket on the grass and sat down on it.

The ingredients he needed for stir-frying were all washed, cut, and stored in the fridge.
