Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2802: I’ll Give Your Eyes Back

It was only six in the morning, and Di Sheng was already calling her.

What did that mean?

It meant something must have happened.

Li Mingxi sat up and answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Miss Li, could you come to the hospital now? Young Master was in a car accident last night. He’s at First City Hospital right now."

"I’ll be right there!" Li Mingxi hung up and got out of bed in a rush.

She got herself ready quickly, grabbed a car at random, and drove straight to the hospital.

Hearing the words "car accident," Li Mingxi assumed Xiao Lang was badly hurt, and didn’t even ask Di Sheng how he was doing.

So the whole way there, she was anxious and terrified, afraid something might have happened to Xiao Lang.

Li Mingxi reached the hospital as fast as she could.

After asking for Xiao Lang’s room number, she hurried over.

When she entered the ward and saw Xiao Lang sitting on the bed, alive, she couldn’t help but let out a big sigh of relief.

But why were Xiao Lang’s eyes wrapped in gauze?

"You’re here, Miss Li." Di Sheng saw her and greeted her.

Xiao Lang’s body stiffened slightly, but he didn’t say a word.

Li Mingxi walked up to the bed, her eyes fixed on Xiao Lang, but she asked Di Sheng instead, "What’s wrong with him?"

"Young Master’s body is fine, just some minor injuries. It’s just that his eyes suddenly went blind."

Li Mingxi’s chest tightened. "How could he suddenly go blind?!"

"The doctor said his head was probably hit, and the blood clot is pressing on the retina."

"Is it serious?"

"It shouldn’t be serious."

Hearing Di Sheng say that, Li Mingxi felt much more at ease.

She looked up at him and said, "Take him to my hospital. I’ll treat him."

"No need." The one who spoke was Xiao Lang.

Li Mingxi looked at him in surprise.

Xiao Lang roughly faced Di Sheng’s direction. "Go handle the discharge papers. We’re going home today."

"Young Master, the doctor said you can’t be discharged yet." Di Sheng frowned.

"I told you to do it, so just do it!"

"Young Master, your eyes still need further treatment. If we delay it, it won’t be good for your eyesight."

Xiao Lang’s voice went even colder. "My situation is none of your business. I told you to get me discharged. If you don’t, you can get lost."

Di Sheng was in a real bind.

Li Mingxi frowned in displeasure. "Xiao Lang, Di Sheng is doing this for your own good. You can’t be discharged like this."

"My business has nothing to do with you."

Li Mingxi froze. His cold words cut her, more or less.

"Your eyes were already bad, and now you can’t see at all. Do you not want your eyes anymore?"

"Wouldn’t it be better if I were blind." Xiao Lang let out a cold smile.

Li Mingxi’s eyes widened. "What did you say?"

"I said, wouldn’t it be better if I were blind."

"Why would you say that?" She had poured so much effort into curing him back then, and now he was saying something so irresponsible.

Xiao Lang said coldly, "I always see everything wrong anyway. So these eyes are better off gone."

"..."

Li Mingxi didn’t know if she understood what he meant or not.

Her voice turned cold too. "I’m the one who cured your eyes. It’s not up to you to say you don’t want them. Your eyes are mine—you don’t get to decide."

"So I’ve given them back to you. I can’t see again."

Li Mingxi was practically livid. "Then what about my effort? My time? Who’s giving that back to me?!"

Xiao Lang slowly turned toward her—

"Take my life then," he said suddenly.
