Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband
Chapter 372: Clean It YourselfHe felt even more aroused as she was moving right in front of him. "No, this can’t continue." He thought.
"I’ll wipe it myself."
He quickly took the gauze from her. Just as he was about to lift his head and wipe it, she stopped him.
"Don’t lift your head. That’s not the right way to treat a nosebleed. Go and wash it in the bathroom."
As she spoke, she dragged him into the bathroom.
Suddenly, James was dragged by Yvonne into the bathroom. James felt intoxicated as the bathroom was still fogged with mist and the scent of the shower gel lingered in the air.
Yvonne was frustrated and speechless when she saw James standing there like a fool. She ordered, "Lower your head."
Only then did James react to her. However, the next moment, he felt even more awkward when he accidentally glanced at her chest.
Yvonne thought it was weird as she was cleaning his nosebleed. Why did James bleed even more?
She was a little confused.
She seemed to have finally realized when she looked up inadvertently and saw his gaze. Immediately, she blushed in embarrassment.
"Clean it yourself."
As she spoke, she stuffed the gauze into his hand. Then she covered her face and walked out of the bathroom.
How could she be so stupid?
He wasn’t having a nosebleed. He was obviously ogling at her.
Yvonne felt that her face was flushing. However, a thought popped up in her mind and she immediately checked her outfit.
There was nothing wrong with it.
"It’s just a pair of satin pajamas that is a little short."
Could it be because of this?
While she was deep in her thoughts, James came out of the bathroom. Yvonne immediately went up to him, as though she forgot what had happened just now.
"How is it? Did it stop?"
James turned his head away as soon as he saw her. He didn’t dare to take another look.
It was the first time that Yvonne had seen him being so embarrassed. She felt annoyed and amused at the same time.
"I’m going to sleep now since your nosebleed had stopped."
She turned around and walked to the bed with a smile on her face.
James realized it and quickly caught up to her.
"... Then where should I sleep?"
Yvonne had reached the bedside. When she heard his question, she suppressed her laughter and said, "Same old, sofa."
James glanced at the small sofa and thought that it was even smaller than the one he saw last time when he was home.
He went forward with a frown and said cheekily, "The sofa is too small. Besides, it wouldn’t be good if my mother sees us when she come in."
Yvonne understood his intentions, but...
"Mom said she wouldn’t come in casually."
"What if she decides to?"
"No, it wouldn’t happen."
As soon as Yvonne finished, someone knocked on the door.
"Yvonne, have you slept?"
Mrs. Taylor’s voice could be heard.
James gave her a look and declared, "See, I’ve told you so!"
Yvonne was speechless.
James turned around to open the door.
Mrs. Taylor stood outside the door with some herbal tonic. When she saw James opening the door, she looked inside and asked softly, "James, I’m not bothering you and Yvonne, right?"
James felt awkward as he glanced at his mother. "Mom, didn’t you say that you wouldn’t come up and disturb us?"
Mrs. Taylor reproached, "Just because I said I wouldn’t disturb you doesn’t mean that I won’t come up here. Get out of the way. The tonic is getting cold. Drink it while it’s hot."
She was about to enter the room when she was stopped by James.
"Mom, what are you hiding behind you?"
James asked.
Mrs. Taylor took a quick look at the room before replying in a low voice, "This is aan herbal tonic prescribed by a health practitioner. All the goodness is inside. Yvonne will definitely be pregnant within a month!"
...
Mrs. Taylor couldn’t hide her grin.
James was speechless.
Just as he had said, nothing good would come from moving back home.
"Mom, Yvonne and I have just gotten married. Why are you in such a hurry? Besides, Yvonne is a doctor. She knows everything. Don’t you think this is unnecessary?"
"What do you mean by unnecessary? You don’t know how to plan at all. I’ve already planned it all out for you. You could have many children soon!"
As she spoke, she took the herbal tonic and walked into the room, ignoring James. "Mom."
James quickly stopped her again. "Leave it to me. I’ll bring it to Yvonne. She is about to sleep."
Mrs. Taylor hesitated before saying, "Then you must make Yvonne drink it."
"Got it. It’s so late. Go back to sleep."
Mrs. Taylor finally left under his urge.
James let out a sigh of relief as she left. He turned around and returned to his room with the herbal tonic. Just as he was wondering what to do with the tonic, Yvonne walked towards him.
"Why is Mom here?"
James glanced at the herbal tonic after he heard her. "She’s here to give you this. She said it’s some herbal tonic. Don’t worry about it. Why would you take it since you’re just fine?"
With that, he headed for the bathroom with the herbal tonic.
However, Yvonne stopped him.
"What are you doing?"
"I’m going to throw it away."
Yvonne frowned and said, "It’s Mom’s kind intention after all. It would be a pity to throw it away. Give it to me."
As she spoke, she reached out to take the tonic. "Since it’s aan herbal tonic, there’s no harm to take it."
As she spoke, she raised her head and was about to gulp it down.
James was about to tell her that the herbal tonic was for sexual health.
Before he could react, Yvonne had already gulped down the tonic.
He held his tongue and looked at her in disbelief.
"Why are you looking at me?"
Yvonne realized that he was staring at her after she finished. She frowned and asked.
James recovered from his daze, but he felt inexplicably guilty.
"Nothing. I just thought you look pretty."
Yvonne rolled her eyes at him and thought, "You better not have a nosebleed again."
She placed the bowl aside and yawned.
"I’m going to sleep."
She walked towards the bed. Then she lifted the blanket and laid down.
A thought popped up in James’s mind and he quickly followed Yvonne. "Can I not sleep on the sofa tonight?"
Yvonne looked at him when she heard him. "Where would you like to sleep if not on the sofa?"
James brushed the back of his head and said, "The bed is quite big, isn’t it? Let’s split it. We can even put up a barricade. I promise I won’t cross the line."
He raised his hand and promised.
He looked like an innocent boy who had just made a promise.
Yvonne couldn’t help but laughed.
"You’re gutsy."
She laughed and turned to the side.
James was confused by her reaction. Did she agree to his request? Or did she not agree to his request?
He couldn’t figure out what she was thinking.
When Yvonne saw that James was still standing there in a daze, she looked over with a frown and reprimanded. "What are you waiting for? Go to sleep."
James recovered from his daze. Afraid that she would change her mind, he jumped onto the bed and laid down beside her, only to find that he was a little too close to her. He quickly shifted further away and deliberately kept a distance from her.
Even though Yvonne was lying on her back, she could clearly feel James’s movements. She couldn’t help but laugh.
What a fool.
She slowly closed her eyes.
...
That night, both of them drifted to sleep as they each pondered.
By the next day, the so-called barricade was nowhere to be seen. The bed was a mess.
When Yvonne woke up, she realized that there was a strong arm pressing on her chest. It was suffocating her.
She frowned helplessly and was about to move his hand away when James woke up.
"Where’s the barricade you spoke of?"
Yvonne side-eyed him.
James paused and looked away awkwardly.
"I’m asleep. I don’t remember."
He scratched his head sheepishly.
Yvonne shook her head helplessly. She didn’t expect him to remember.
She slowly sat up on the bed. Then she picked up the phone on the bedside table and shrieked when she found that it was already past nine o’clock in the morning.
"Crap!"
She quickly turned over and got out of bed.
Seeing her in such a hurry, James rubbed his eyes groggily and asked, "What’s wrong?"
"We’re late. It’s already nine o’clock."
Yvonne hurried to the bathroom as she replied to James.
James heaved a sigh of relief. He thought something bad had happened.
He mumbled, "It’s the weekend today. You don’t have to go to work."
"Even so, we have to get up early. Don’t forget where we live now."
Yvonne reminded him.
James agreed after he gave some thought to it.
After all, they were living in the Taylors’ mansion now. So, he ruffled his hair and got out of the bed.
After washing up, they went downstairs one after another.
Mrs. Taylor was sitting on the sofa and was watching Youtube with a smile on her face. She seemed to be in a good mood. When she saw them, she put down her
phone and greeted them. "Morning."
Yvonne, on the other hand, looked embarrassed.
"Mom, I’m sorry for waking up so late. You must have waited for us."
Mrs. Taylor stood up with a smile and walked over. "You don’t have to apologize. From now on, this is your home. Sleep as long as you want."
She patted Yvonne on the shoulder and said, "I’ll have them serve the breakfast." After that, she walked towards the kitchen.
Even though Mrs. Taylor had said so, Yvonne still felt a little embarrassed. After all, it was rude that her mother-in-law had to wait for her like that.
Speaking of which, it was all James’s fault. He had moved around all night, causing her to lose sleep.
Yvonne turned around and glared at James as she recalled the culprit.
James acted dumb and turned away to look elsewhere. He didn’t mean it. He wasn’t a saint after all, how could he sleep peacefully beside Yvonne?
Afraid that Yvonne would reprimand him, he quickly walked to the dining table and looked at the sumptuous breakfast. He frowned, "Mom, why did you arrange for such a fancy breakfast so early in the morning?"
Mrs. Taylor reproached him. "You guys don’t take your meals seriously. I purposedly asked the nutritionist to customize your meals so you could have a balanced diet."
James remained silent after he heard his mother. He glanced at Yvonne subconsciously.
Seeing that she didn’t show any dissatisfaction, he sat down with relief.
After breakfast, Mrs. Taylor turned to look at them.
"Do you have any plans in the morning?"
James looked at Yvonne.
Yvonne shook her head and replied, "No."
"Perfect, then you can accompany me."
James and Yvonne nodded in agreement even though they didn’t know where Mrs.
Taylors were taking them.
After washing up, they accompanied Mrs. Taylor and left the house.
James was going to drive his own car, but Mrs. Taylor stopped him.
"Let the driver drive the car."
