Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself
Chapter 1401 - 1415: Thought You Wanted to HelpChapter 1401: Chapter 1415: Thought You Wanted to Help
"I’d rather hold it in than use that thing," Mu Xingfeng scoffed, his words full of disdain.
An Ran was immediately amused, "Lucky for you that it’s your hand that’s injured. If it were your leg, you’d actually have to hold it in. So, Mu Xingfeng, you’d better protect yourself on missions from now on. Otherwise, with your prideful nature, if you get hurt, you might end up dying from holding it in, wouldn’t that be quite the joke?"
"Mmm, whatever my wife says goes," Mu Xingfeng placed his left hand on An Ran’s shoulder, leaning his whole body toward her, but he didn’t let all his weight onto her.
He’s well aware of his wife’s weight; though expecting her to take care of him, he doesn’t want to tire her out.
After helping Mu Xingfeng relieve himself, An Ran intended to support him back to bed, but Mu Xingfeng stood still and refused to move, "Wifey, I haven’t brushed my teeth yet."
An Ran paused, "You want to brush your teeth? How do you plan to do that? Can you stand steady? If not, you can sit on the bed, and I’ll hold a basin for you?"
"No need, I already said, it’s just a minor injury."
As Mu Xingfeng spoke, he withdrew his hand from An Ran’s shoulder, picked up the toothbrush that An Ran had put in her mouth without yet using, and started brushing himself.
An Ran watched him skillfully maneuver the toothbrush without any sign of instability, only then did she feel relieved enough to start brushing with the hospital-prepared toothbrush after opening the package.
While brushing, she kept an eye on the man beside her, but as she watched, something seemed amiss.
"Mu Xingfeng, if you can stand steady, why did you ask me to help you relieve yourself earlier?"
Mu Xingfeng rinsed his mouth, grabbed a towel, and wiped away the toothpaste foam from the corner of his mouth, "Wifey, it was you who offered to help just now, wasn’t it? You were holding my one good arm without letting go, so I assumed you wanted to help."
"You..."
An Ran was so exasperated she rinsed her mouth and put away the toothbrush, ignoring the man behind her, she walked straight out of the bathroom.
Mu Xingfeng followed her out of the bathroom door, watching her hair swaying side to side as she walked, knowing she was angry. He touched his nose, realizing he might have gone too far; his shy wife, he knows her well.
"Wifey? Wifey!"
Mu Xingfeng called out twice, An Ran lowered her head, setting the breakfast that Nanny Chen brought without acknowledging him.
"Hmm..."
An Ran suddenly heard a muffled groan from the man, raised her head, and saw Mu Xingfeng sitting on the edge of the bed with a knitted brow. She put down what she was holding and was about to step forward, but thought of this man’s sly ways, he must be employing sympathy again.
She retracted her steps and resumed pouring porridge and soup, placing two buns on the mobile table before rolling it to the bedside.
Mu Xingfeng was already seated comfortably on the bed, his eyes never leaving her, observing all her actions and expressions in detail.
Seeing her push the table towards him only to leave again, he finally couldn’t resist calling out, "Wifey, I’m injured..."
"Don’t you still have your left hand?"
An Ran just couldn’t believe it, the man who was brushing his teeth so effortlessly just now couldn’t pick up a spoon?
Mu Xingfeng didn’t say anything further, taking the spoon somewhat resignedly, and began to eat.
Just then, the ward door opened, and a doctor in his fifties walked in with a few medical staff. Seeing Mu Xingfeng eating on his own, he exclaimed, "Young Master Mu, how can you be eating on your own? It’s going to strain your wound."
Mu Xingfeng placed the spoon back in the bowl, picked up a napkin, and wiped his mouth, "It’s fine."
An Ran stood aside, pursed her lips in her mind, doctors in the hospital always make a fuss over nothing, she wonders if she’d be the same once she becomes a doctor.
"It’s better to be cautious, you just had surgery yesterday, the bullet caused a rather large wound area, Young Master Mu should best be bedridden for a few days. Even though the injury is on the right side, large movements on the left side can still strain the wound. I’ll go ahead and check on you, Young Master Mu."
"I said it’s fine, no need to trouble, Dean Chen," Mu Xingfeng declined.
Dean Chen chuckled awkwardly, "Young Master Mu, even if there’s no need for a check-up, the medication needs to be changed."
