Chapter 1447: Chapter 1461: Shining Star

An Ran looked at her cautious appearance and laughed, "Of course you can, Miss Luo, I really enjoy your performances, sitting with a celebrity is indeed a great honor."

"Miss An, you’re quite the jokester. It’s truly my honor to sit with you," Luo Jingjing was surprised by An Ran’s approachable demeanor, which was contrary to what she had heard within the company. Thinking of Yin Qianxue and An Sijia having ulterior motives, she understood.

"Miss An, I haven’t had the chance to thank you for what you did last time. Let me take this opportunity today to formally express my gratitude. Without you, not only would I have lost the role in the advertisement, but the role of young Bao Si might have fallen through as well."

Luo Jingjing sat across from An Ran, and after speaking, she raised her wine glass and drank it all in one go.

People say she’s lucky, recognized by a well-known director before graduation, then signed with Jiawen Entertainment, and everyone believes she’s destined to become a shining star in the entertainment industry.

But how could things be so smooth?

Since joining Jiawen Entertainment, her manager has constantly suppressed her ambitions. Most managers strive to secure the best opportunities for their artists, but hers did the opposite.

After joining Jiawen Entertainment, her manager filtered and screened all opportunities, giving the reason that she was new to the industry and needed to take steady steps.

But the cost of taking steady steps was missing out on high-profile advertisements, popular movies, and media hype, and the TV roles she received were mostly minor ones, with her most influential piece still being from her debut.

Initially, she thought she was just a newcomer and expected the company resources would go to more established artists first. Later, she accidentally discovered that her manager had a subtle connection with Yin Qianxue.

It was precisely because she feared impacting Yin Qianxue’s status as the leading lady of Jiawen Entertainment that her manager purposely suppressed her.

But she was still a newcomer at the company, with no influence, and the dealings between her manager and Yin Qianxue were so discreet, even if she approached the artistic director, she might end up in trouble without concrete evidence.

Moreover, having evidence wouldn’t help. She was just a small artist who had recently joined the company; the artistic director would have to be completely oblivious to criticize Yin Qianxue on her behalf.

So, when An Ran named her as the spokesperson for Mu Family, she felt grateful that at least someone recognized her talent. She knew An Ran’s decision wasn’t solely made because she was the only female artist left in the cast.

Now An Ran’s remarks further confirmed her thoughts. Indeed, An Ran had seen her work; that sense of recognition made Luo Jingjing ecstatic.

"Miss Luo, you’re too kind. I’ve seen your advertisement, and it’s terrific. I think using you alone rather than with Yin Qianxue creates a more coherent effect. The online clicks are high, too. It’s Mu Family’s ad, and with such results, Mu Family ought to be the ones thanking you."

After the advertisement was shot, Mu Family sent it to An Ran. As she said, she personally was very satisfied with Luo Jingjing’s performance.

"By the way, I heard Mu Family has a few more product endorsement ads. When are you shooting them? Would they be shot in Nan’an too? If so, I’d love to bring some friends over to join the fun."
