The next day
Game Time AM07:23
Inner Ring District of Academy City, [Stars] High-Level Chain Hotel, Room Zero, Master Bedroom
"Time to get up~"
Motan, exuding a homely charm with his apron on, walked in, leaned down to kiss the forehead of Diana, who was sitting like a duck with sleepy eyes, and offered a breakfast tray. It wasn’t lavish but was quite exquisite, consisting of three dishes and a soup. The dishes included Frank Hughes’ favorite sour plum salad, Double Leaf’s beloved crispy fries, and Diana’s cherished garlic crystal shellfish. The soup, also to Diana’s liking, was Frank’s special No.7, which closely resembled the famous Tom Yum Koong soup from outside the game.
"Mmh~"
Affectionately rubbing against Motan’s cheek, Diana remained in her present position for a full minute before snapping out of it. After a brief thought, she fell back onto the bed heavily, holding tight to her full-body pillow she adored immensely but often neglected whenever Frank was around, grumbling and acting spoiled, "Just a little longer..."
"Ten minutes."
Motan softly sighed, placing the breakfast on the bedside table, sat at the edge of the bed somewhat helplessly, and declared the final ’deadline’: "Even if you minimize the time for breakfast and freshening up, my dear, you can only sleep for ten more minutes at most, or you’ll definitely be late."
Diana shrugged her slender shoulders in response, then wriggled over to her lover, resting her head on his lap and adorably smacking her lips, relishing the last ten minutes of morning peace.
Then...
In what seemed like the span of a few breaths, Diana was gently awakened from her light slumber by her always forgiving companion, who informed her that any more sleep would make her late for a backdrop role in a certain, forgettable-named academy.
"Can I not go?"
She pitifully tried to elicit sympathy.
"Ah—"
The man, skirting a direct response, raised a spoon.
"Ah—"
Obediently opening her little mouth, Diana closed her eyes, desperately extending her lazy time.
In the next instant, the indescribably complex taste of [Frank’s special No.7] spread in her mouth. Although not unpleasant, the strong, Tom Yum Koong-like stimulation quickly sobered Diana, her beautiful eyes gradually brightening.
"Naughty!"
Gently bumping Motan’s shoulder, the Grand Astrologist finally awoke from her pseudo-snooze. With a wave, she summoned two pure water elements to brush over her hair and face, completing over eighty percent of her morning routine with unbelievable speed. Then, unashamed, she leisurely changed her clothes, slipping off her nightgown.
Since she was still wearing her intimate underwear, the system didn’t censor Diana, who bore no resistance toward Frank Hughes, alias Motan, but even so, this scene would be considered an utter tease for any twenty-something, vigorous male.
After all, Diana had quite the figure...
Frankly, if the protective Mist Moon Sage knew the two had progressed to ’this point,’ the task given to Double Leaf and Ivy wouldn’t be ’simple investigation and eliminate him if possible,’ but rather ’get him reincarnated as soon as possible.’
"At least take a few more steps to the washroom to change clothes..."
Motan turned away the instant Diana slipped the nightgown off, covering his forehead with a hand, complaining helplessly, "Even if you don’t mind, at least consider my feelings."
"What feelings?"
Changing swiftly into her usual dark magic robe, Diana hugged Motan from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder and laughing foolishly, "Shy?"
"If it were just shyness, that’d be fine."
Exasperated, Motan pinched the little hands around his waist and ordered grumpily, "Eat breakfast properly!"
"I want to hug a bit longer."
"You can hug as long as you want after you get back, but if you don’t want to be late, better eat breakfast now, my busy bee~"
"I don’t want to go!"
"Hehe, who was it that said they’d put in effort during the exchange meeting and prove to the family and elder brother they can handle things on their own?"
"Mmph!"
In her determination to minimize obstacles to her romance through personal effort, Diana finally let go of Motan, pouting slightly, and sat by the bed, beginning to demolish her perfectly sized, single-serving breakfast.
After repeatedly confirming Diana had dressed properly, Motan walked to the other side of the room, drawing back the curtains to let the bright sunlight flood in.
Two minutes later
"Ah, by the way, why haven’t I seen Double Leaf?"
Only now realizing her usually restless apprentice was uncharacteristically quiet, Diana, efficient and elegant while dining, finally noticed the oddity, poking three crispy fries into her mouth while muttering, "Still asleep?"
"Uh, in fact, Double Leaf was already gone when I got up."
Motan spread his hands, smiling, "As for the specifics, I can guess a bit, but my dear, I believe you, as the insider, know better than I do, right?"
