"My... bone?"
Delfi Lesterange blinked her murky, dark green pupils, pointing at the tip of her nose to confirm again, "Holy Son, you mean to say you need my bones?"
Ramollok nodded lightly, smiling, "Indeed, Lady, due to certain trifles, I require your bones as well as two other materials that are far less precious."
"No problem, my Lord, Delfi is of course willing to serve you."
The neurotic woman grinned, then casually retrieved a dagger from her waist’s storage necklace that was intricately carved with several delicate little snakes, delightfully severing her left pinky finger before mumbling something softly, causing the severed finger to burst into flames out of thin air.
When Delfi calmly put away the dagger and caught that finger again, the flesh had already disappeared entirely.
A pale and smooth finger bone appeared in her former owner’s hand, smilingly presented to Ramollok.
"I’m sorry, Lady."
Ramollok glanced at the finger bone that was offered like a treasure and didn’t reach out to take it, instead slightly squinting his eyes and shaking his head, "This is not the kind of ’bone’ I want."
Delfi was slightly startled, then tossed away the finger bone as if it were trash, paying no mind to the wound that kept bleeding, merely furrowing her brow in confusion, "So it’s not this kind?"
Ramollok nodded.
"Hmm, let me think, if it’s for casting spell materials or ritual mediums, should the ulna or pelvic bone be better? Uh huh, while it’s not unfeasible, it does feel a bit inconvenient, ha, not that it matters, so then..."
She took out the same dagger again, steadying it against her left arm, and swung it down forcefully—
The sharp edge sliced through her sleeve but halted just before it could break her skin.
"No, the Holy Son also mentioned two other materials just now... so including my bones, that’s three... three... three, right..."
Delfi’s murky pupils trembled frantically in their sockets, her originally pale complexion suddenly turning paler, her whole body shivering spasmodically for a few seconds, then she silently lowered the dagger, her otherwise charming face slowly turning towards Ramollok, the muscles twitching incessantly, looking quite eerie.
The latter showed no sign of fear and even smiled with satisfaction, "It seems you’ve thought of it, Lady Delfi."
"Aha... I thought of it, thought of it, of course I thought of it, how could I not think of it!"
Delfi took a deep breath, revealing a surprising semblance of calmness for the first time, gazing steadily at Ramollok standing in front of her, whispering, "The blood of enemies, the flesh of servants... the bone of kin... This is the black magic ritual passed down through generations in the Lesterley Family, I certainly remember, how could I not remember."
Ramollok nodded slightly, softly asking, "So, what is your response?"
"If the target is that incompetent Lucius, even if ordered by you, Holy Son, I must decline."
Delfi instinctively raised her slender and sharp eyebrows when mentioning ’Lucius,’ glanced at her left hand where the freshly grown pinky finger emitted a silvery-white glow, chuckling softly, "Additionally, from what I can sense, though the Divine Grace upon you, Holy Son, is mighty, it hasn’t yet reached Epic Tier, right?"
Ramollok shrugged, spreading his hands, "Far from Epic Tier, even when fully borrowing my master’s power, I only possess strength equivalent to High-Order Pinnacle, and I’m sorely lacking real combat experience, a true shame."
Delfi chuckled, a flash of clarity passing through her murky eyes, "Then, I kindly ask for your explanation."
"Delfi Lesterange is an extremely loyal devout believer, a pride of my master and a model to us all."
Ramollok gazed softly at the woman before him, speaking in a gentle tone, "Though within different dioceses, as one closest to my master, I still wish to extend my highest respect to you; the unwavering loyalty hidden deep within you is a precious treasure of my master."
Delfi shyly smiled, two unusual and glaring blushes appearing on her pale cheeks.
"However, Lady Delfi..."
Ramollok slowly approached her, leaning in with whispered words to the woman now dumbly smiling, "I have to say, apart from your devoutness, you’re utterly worthless."
Delfi’s pupils contracted sharply, and her smile froze as if petrified.
"Yes, utterly worthless, completely meaningless."
Ramollok didn’t give her a chance to speak, only continuing with his increasingly cold and gentle voice, "Not only that, your existence has always been troubling. I’m uncertain if it’s due to unavoidably inherent factors or something else, but your impermanence, your brutality, your erratic behavior, your... everything, is out of place with the surrounding environment; you are an abnormal, Delfi, no one will be close to you, no one will trust you, and your only reliance, our supreme master, hehe..."
