Dabus’s passionate and fervent story revealed two pieces of information to Motan and the others.

Firstly, their friend, Mr. Dabus, who in most cases is reliable in terms of character, morality, and personality, is quite inept in the realm of love. His role closely resembles those low-end male supporting characters who frequently appear in primetime soap operas and home theaters. Simply put, he’s a bundle of negative traits such as naivety, pettiness, and unscrupulousness, whose only function is to create various ’troubles’ for the leading couple, indirectly causing their relationship to grow warmer through a series of events. In the end, as the couple finds happiness and love, he is left with a silhouette that is either bleak, relieved, or redeems itself, leaving the audience to laugh and say ’evil meets evil end,’ while he fades into obscurity.

Even in the Real World, this is a dangerous signal. Although ’true love’ is becoming rarer in this increasingly cold world, and often it’s the wealthy/elegant people who end up together, considering the saying ’even if you haven’t eaten pork, you’ve seen pigs run,’ not to mention modern people like Motan and Ji Xiaoge who have both seen some romantic dramas, even NPC Jadka from The Realm of Innocence thought Dabus’s series of actions closely resembled a romantic drama’s foil.

Although they didn’t say it out loud, everyone felt that Dabus’s current antics would likely make it hard for him to achieve his fantasy of winning beauty, or even produce the opposite effect.

Honestly, after months of interaction, everyone agreed that Dabus is a really good man. He is witty, humorous, knowledgeable, upright, self-disciplined, lenient towards others, and impeccable in character. Even Anthony, who many consider incorrigible, hasn’t been given up by him. He patiently guides the latter—referred to as ’brother,’ but actually is more of a ’giant baby’ entirely unlike Jarvis, the real-life teacher.

Dabus even manages to patiently reason with someone as rotten to the core as Wang Badan, even if the malevolent Wang Ba doesn’t listen to a word.

Ji Xiaoge often lamented how great it would have been to encounter a teacher like Dabus during her middle school days. Jadka and Ya Ya cherish Dabus as a friend even more.

Motan, without needing to say much, meshes perfectly with Dabus as Mor. Every time they chat, it feels like old friends meeting over fine wine, and in fact, they actually do get together for drinks occasionally, without including Jadka.

It’s not that the two young men are excluding the elder, it’s mainly because Jadka’s drinking capacity is too great. Even combined, Motan, Dabus, and Anthony, considered not too bad drinkers, can’t compete with him. Even as players, Motan and Dabus are outmatched.

Or like turning from courteous and gentle to estranged when encountering a rival for his beloved as a model teacher.

Motan, Ji Xiaoge, and Jadka all thought in unison, while Ya Ya took in a deep breath and then subtly sighed, whispering a low ’woof.’

In conclusion, everyone seems to feel that unless proper psychological counseling is rendered to Dabus, even if he had every hope of getting together with Teacher Chen, with the current trajectory, he will likely fail to win her over.

The reason is simple. According to Dabus’s previous account, Teacher Tian seemed to have stopped Anthony’s hungry slap effortlessly with merely an instant-cast spell, and Dabus had even applied twenty percent extra strength and lit a small fire on it.

Sure, no matter how manic Dabus was, he wouldn’t have colluded with Anthony to directly kill the pesky Teacher Tian. Thus, he must have held back somewhat. Yet, still, Teacher Tian, who achieved such a counter effortlessly and returned Dabus’s deliberate embarrassment in vain, is definitely not a simple character.

Bear in mind, though Anthony Dubs has fallen out of the top 200 in the Personal Combat Power Rankings, this ogre with Magic and Martial Dual Cultivation is definitely considered T1 level among players. Therefore, Teacher Tian, who likely didn’t put forth his full effort at the cafeteria entrance that day, probably isn’t far behind, potentially holding a high-ranking combat prowess.
