"And where does the town name come from?" Ava asked the hog farmer as they stood at the village crossroads.

The middle-aged man scratched his scraggly beard and furrowed his brow. "Well, we keep hogs here, ma’am," he said, gesturing at the farm with a thumb over his shoulder.

"And can you spell your last name for me?" Ava asked, scribbling on her notepad.

"H-O-G-G-S-M-A-N," the farmer said. "With two ’G’s. My grandpappy used to—"

"Yes, yes, we got it," Maya said, walking back from the farmhouse where the others were investigating the missing girls. "Now, where exactly were your daughters when they disappeared?"

"Ooooh, good question," Ava said. She held out her notepad to Maya and said, "It was on my list."

Maya ignored her. The farmer, bewildered at being interrogated by the busty elf and the winsome catgirl, tipped his straw hat back from his head and continued to scratch at his beard.

"Wellll, lessee... it was my daughter, Polly, old man Stoobin’s niece, Patty, and the Liswin’s girl, Penny. They were over there at the pumphouse foolin’ around with a couple of boys. Podrick and Percy."

"Polly, Penny and Patty with Podrick and Percy in the pumphouse," Ava said. "Got it."

"Good gods," Maya muttered under her breath.

"Yessir," the farmer continued. "Them two boys is from one town over, mind you. Not from these parts. We have good girls here," Farmer Hoggsman said. "They don’t go to pumphouses and fool around normally."

"I’m sure," said Maya, rolling her eyes and flicking her tail with irritation. "So, why didn’t the boys fight back when the goblins attacked?"

"Oh, I reckon ’cause they were bonked on their heads first thing and sort of knocked out. When they woke up and the girls were gone I guess they got scared and ran off. Didn’t find out the girls were missing until we checked the pumphouse."

Farmer Hoggsman shook his head. "Goblins never caused trouble like this before. I mean, some trouble. Stealing panties from a dresser or maybe getting caught with a drunk barmaid and chased off. Taking hogs once in a while. But taking this many pigs? And our girls? That’s new. I don’t care for it. Nossir, I don’t."

"I bet," Maya said, then remembering herself, smiled. "But don’t worry. We’ll find your girls. The Red Claws are on the job."

"Well, I gotta say, that’s good t’ hear. I can’t tell you how much that means to us," Hoggsman said. "And uh, not for nothing, but if you could get the pigs back too, that’d be swell. Lotta good you can do with pigs. Cities run on their stomachs, and pigs are good for that. You can make bacon. Pork chops. Maple bacon. Fried ham. Smoked ham. Ham and eggs. Ham and spam. Spam and eggs. Sausage and spam..."

Maya’s eyes began to glaze over. "Right, right. Got it. We’ll... we’ll see what can be done for the pigs."

"Spam and ham and bacon..."

Maya hooked a finger in Ava’s collar, tugging the elf away from the farmer as he continued down the list of pork products.

Ava stumbled at first, but got her footing and eagerly trotted down the dusty path after the catgirl. "Amazing!" Ava said. "I never knew you could do so much with pork! Why do you think they took the girls, though?" she added.

"Probably to eat them," Maya said.

Ava gasped, hand flying to her mouth. "No! Surely not!"

Maya smiled bitterly. "Yeah, you’re probably right. Goblins rarely eat human girls. They prefer to fuck them until they’re little more than breeding sluts."

"I have heard of that," Ava said, nodding.

"Yeah?" Maya said as they walked past the fence.

"Uh huh. My aunt spent two decades as one."

Maya stumbled. "O-oh," she said. "I’m um... I’m sorry. I had no..."

"I know," Ava said with an airy wave. "She was pretty old to do it, but, well. Sometimes, a woman has just gotta follow her heart."

Maya didn’t know what to say about that, so just said nothing.

She led the way back to the farmhouse, the little home sitting pleasantly under a thatched roof and among a wide field.

Arman was standing nearby, arms folded as he gazed out at the woods, his expression stern.

Dinah, as ever, was near him, and turned as the pair approached. She smiled pleasantly, giving a small nod. "Any luck?"

"The girls were taken near a pump house. But unless you want to know twenty different things you can make with pork, not much else."

"Well, we may have some luck there," Dinah said, tilting her head towards the woods. "Have you noticed?"

"Noticed?" Maya said.

"We’re being watched."

That got Maya’s attention. She straightened, her feline ears flicking. Now that she was aware of it, she could faintly sense something. A gaze upon them from somewhere nearby.

Circumspectly, she glanced towards the woods. She rocked back on her heels a bit, her sharp eyes just catching a glint of metal.

"Goblin," she hissed.

"So I assumed," Dinah said, still smiling as ever. "But we dared not go after him. Didn’t want to spook him."

"Why come back?" Maya said in an undertone. "Another raid?"

"Ha! Not while I stand here!" Arman roared. Maya flattened her ears at the shout, shooting another quick glance at the woods.

"We’ll have to ask him to find out. But if he runs, I doubt we’ll find him again," Dinah said.

"I can get him," Maya said, her thumb rubbing the hilt of her dagger.

"Capture, Maya. Remember. But we’ll need to distract him. Keep him focused on us and not on you."

"And how do you suggest we do that?"

"Mmm. I had a thought. Ava? Would you like to assist?"

"Well... I’m only supposed to observe. But, I suppose if it’s not something too big," the elf said. "What do you need?"

"Well, first, take off your shirt."

Maya turned sharply as, without a hint of hesitation, Ava pulled open her shirt.

The catgirl’s jaw dropped at the sight of the pale, firm breasts revealed, held back by nothing more than a white bra as frilly and sheer as spiderweb. "Like this?" Ava said.

"Perfect," Dinah said. "Goodness me, those are some impressive breasts. Would you mind if I took a feel of them?"

"Feel free!"

"How kind," Dinah murmured, her white robes rustling as she slipped behind the elf, her hands wrapping around Ava’s front to cup those impressive teats.

Ava gasped, arching softly, the sound of her moan playing down Maya’s spine like piano keys.

"Wh-what are you doing!" Maya finally gasped.

"Having a hard time looking away?" Dinah purred, her eyes gleaming under her long lashes as she teased a look to the forest. "I imagine our friend is too."

Maya glanced back to the woods. They did seem stiller than before, but she could just make out the goblin’s lurking outline among the dark. "I see," Maya murmured.

"Might need... mmm... a little more encouragement, though," Dinah purred as her free hand slid down the hollow of Ava’s stomach, the elf moaning hotly as the priestess palmed the front of her pants, a finger gently pressing against the groove hidden beneath. "Can’t have him losing interest, can we?"

Maya swallowed hard. The sight of Ava so open, so unprotected, so eager for the touch of the priestess made the catgirl reluctant to go.

There was just something so innocent and needy in the way the elf rolled her hips to the stroking touch of the priestess.

The delicate whimpers and moans sending heat rushing through Maya, burning in her cheeks. It made you want to watch. To stare.
