Captain Brightmore of the Silver Griffons rubbed his temples with his free hand.

They were in the kitchen of the Witch House, the rest of the Griffons still examining the remainder of the building with meticulous care, occasionally passing through while he worked.

He’d removed his helmet and held it under his arm, while at his side stood his lieutenant Fitzweller, and sitting in a chair before him, Ava Copperman.

"So," he said, trying hard not to stare at the elf sitting across from him. "Let’s try this one more time. Explain it to me."

Ava nodded where she sat, wearing only a cloak, which her breasts continuously pushed open whenever she moved, her thighs still glistening with the cum of the witch.

"Sure! Okay, so, get this. Lady Primwood was involved in a romantic relationship with the orc Akhil. But she was also seeing a witch who lives in this house!"

"The one who vanished in the mirror?"

"Right! As soon as she finished fucking me," Ava said. "See?"

Brightmore’s face flamed as the elf parted her thighs and pointed at the cum oozing from her pussy. "I-I get it! Cover yourself!"

"Whoops! Sorry," Ava giggled.

"Anyway, Lady Primwood isn’t dead, but she was taken to be used in a magical horny ritual happening um... maybe tomorrow? I dunno. But! There’s also a secret sex cult working in the city, trying to make women even lovelier and hornier! They’re called the Silken."

"The Silken what?"

"Dunno! Nice name though, isn’t it?"

Brightmore groaned and squeezed the bridge of his nose. "How did you even find out about this?"

"I asked Akhil."

"And how did you meet with him?"

"Um, certainly not by giving the jailor a blowjob," Ava said, shifting uneasily in her chair.

Brightmore gave her a flat look. When he got back to the prison, someone was very fired.

He turned to his lieutenant. "Escort Miss Copperman back to her home, if you’ll please."

"Yes, sir."

"Hey!" Ava said, jumping to her feet, her cloak falling off to reveal her full figure. "You can’t cut me out here! This is my story!"

Brightmore stared at the elf’s buxom figure.

"I... this... this is an ongoing investigation by the Silver Griffons!" he snapped back, face flushing a bright red. "And you are forbidden from pursuing this!"

"You can’t do that! This is a story the public deserves to know!"

"No it’s not! Lieutenant! Escort her out of here. Now! And give her some clothes to wear for Orrin’s sake!"

Lieutenant Fitzweller clicked his heels and saluted as Captain Brightmore swept out of the room, muttering about Ava’s interference.

He nodded at Ava, who huffed and followed him out of the Witch House.

In the dark street Ava fumed as she was helped into the seat of an official carriage.

Her lips pursed with indignation; the blue uniform she’d been given by the soldiers almost painfully tight around her curves, something the unfortunate lieutenant couldn’t stop observing.

Not even as he nearly drove onto the sidewalk before jerking back onto the road.

It was with considerable relief and disappointment when he at last reached his destination, pulling over and opening her door.

"We’re here, miss," he said.

Ava sighed, stepping down. "Fine. Oh, you must want this uniform back, right? Here. Let me just..."

Fitzweller’s eyes widened as Ava began to take off her jacket.

He looked around wildly as several people paused in their walks to stare. "M- miss! What are you doing?"

"Giving you these clothes back. I can’t take them with me! That’d be rude," Ava said as she tried to open buttons strained to the breaking point against her chest.

The lieutenant raised his hand to cover his eyes, glancing frantically as the crowd of curious people began to grow. "Miss, please!"

"I’m sorry! I can’t seem to get these buttons off."

"K-keep it! You can keep it!"

"I can?" Ava said.

"Sure! Whatever! Just please! Go!"

"Well, if you’re sure..."

"Positive! Absolutely! Please!"

Ava gave him a perplexed look, then shrugged and stepped up to the building, hearing some groans of disappointment from the crowd as she ducked into the lobby.

Once in her flat, she took off the bursting uniform and changed into something more suitable for creeping about the city late at night.

She was tired, but she couldn’t quit now. Not while she had leads she could follow.

Captain Brightmore might have forbidden her from following this story, but she was a reporter, dammit! And this was news the people needed to know!

Of course, Karl was going to be furious at her for missing the deadline for the morning edition, but he’d come around when she busted the whole cult wide open.

She had to get everything just right, including the names of all the nobles involved and where they held their rituals.

If Ludmilla’s claim that Lady Primwood was still alive proved to be true, that would only add to the scoop.

Ava could picture the frontpage when she was done: Primwood Alive! ’Silken’ Cult Exposed!

But before she could expose them, she had to find them.

Fortunately, Ava had a source the Silver Griffons did not.

She wiggled her feet into her walking shoes, pulled up the hood of her cloak, and slipped back out of her apartment.

Ava had met the evil witch of the evening. Time to meet the good witch of the morning.
