Gabriel Sinclair’s heart immediately softened at the look in his little sister’s eyes.

"I haven’t finished writing it yet. How about I sing it for you once it’s done?"

In truth, he already had a solid idea. He had written more than half of it during the show; it just needed a finishing touch.

But today, Chloe Sinclair was unusually insistent. She said, "I want to hear it."

Gabriel had no choice. He grabbed a guitar from the back seat, and after tuning it, he relented, "I’ll just sing a small part, okay?"

"Okay."

Chloe Sinclair nodded, then quietly started the voice recorder on her phone.

Gabriel didn’t notice. He lowered his head and strummed the strings.

A soft, low voice drifted through the car, accompanied by the crisp sound of the guitar flowing from between his fingers.

The young man hummed softly with his head down, his voice effortlessly transporting his listeners.

Even the normally unflappable Ms. Mayfield looked shocked.

She didn’t know much about music, but she could tell from Gabriel’s voice alone that he conveyed a feeling other singers could never replicate.

"Is this the grand finale song you mentioned for your concert?"

After he finished singing, Gabriel carefully placed the guitar back in its case and nodded.

"It was originally a gift for Chloe. I was planning to release it in the second half of the year."

He had started thinking about this song the day Chloe returned, but he’d been stuck for inspiration. Now that he was spending more time with her, the ideas came quickly and naturally.

"That was beautiful," Chloe said.

"I thought it would take me at least another two or three years to finish it."

Gabriel beamed at Chloe’s praise, his heart filling with sweetness.

He scratched the back of his head and looked down, suddenly too shy to speak.

Seeing this, Ms. Mayfield buried her face in her hand.

’He’s handsome, all right, but it’s a shame he has to open his mouth.’

’Such a doofus!’

Ms. Mayfield chose that moment to speak up. "The song is good. Since it’s a gift for Chloe, I’ll send some tickets over when the time comes. I’m clearing your schedule for the next week. Focus on finishing the song."

Hearing this, Gabriel nodded.

Just then, the car pulled up to the terminal entrance.

The group got out and, to their surprise, ran into Nina Sinclair in the departure lounge, also waiting for a flight.

The moment Nina Sinclair saw Gabriel and Chloe, an awkward look crossed her face.

"What a coincidence."

Without a second thought, Gabriel replied, "Not really. We’re all going back to Kennet, so we’re probably on the same flight."

With that, he went to a nearby vending machine and bought several bottles of water.

Then he held the last bottle out in Nina Sinclair’s direction.

Nina Sinclair never imagined Gabriel would actually buy her a water. Pleasantly surprised, she quickly stood up to take it.

But Gabriel frowned and clutched the bottle tightly. "What do you think you’re doing? Are people just openly snatching things these days?!"

Nina Sinclair: "..."

Perhaps intimidated by his overbearing presence, Nina Sinclair blinked and asked pleadingly, "Isn’t it for me?"

’Is there someone else here?’

"For you? It’s not like you’re broke. Doesn’t your man give you millions in pocket money every month? What, you can’t even afford a bottle of water now?"

Gabriel was tall, and his words were blunt. To top it off, he had a smug look that just begged to be punched.

Nina Sinclair was stunned for a moment. Then, she watched as Gabriel snatched the bottle back and tossed it to the seats behind them.

Nina turned her head in astonishment, just in time to see that assistant from before, the one with the acne-covered face.

’So the water was for *him*?’

’Why does *he* get it?!!’

Nina Sinclair was instantly furious.

’So now I’m not even as good as some fatso?’
