Chapter 83: You’re really an idiot, aren't you?

"Vincarna is correct, ladies,” Elrinira finally replied before adding. “Might I suggest we follow his advice and table this topic until after we deal with the matter at hand?”

"Agreed. Now, how do you suggest we deal with this?" Sarah replied.

"I will need to leave that bastard to the five of you; unfortunately, he has placed a spell on my sister that prevents me from harming him," Elrinira explained. "If I were to ever do so, the spell would transfer any damage I intended for him over to my dear sister, and because she is already dead, she would just suffer endless agony. Therefore, I suggest you two deal with the bastard while I hold my sister off, since I am more powerful than her raised form; even if my power is currently being suppressed."

"What will happen to your sister once we defeat Francis?" John asked, causing Elrinira to raise an eyebrow before saying, "She will return to the underworld where she belongs. Maybe in the future, if she is lucky, she will be summoned again, but by someone worthy of her. Why? Are you concerned for her?"

John nodded before saying, "She is a victim in this just as much as that elf; I would prefer not to harm her if possible.”

Elrinira looked at John again as if trying to find any sign of him lying before saying, "You're an interesting one, Vincarna; most mortals don't care what happens to my race and only see us as sex objects. Is this concern for my sister real, or because it affects your chances of becoming a Sheolarbiter?”

John shrugged before replying, "Don't you think that most people might see your race like that because of how they sleep around so much? Also, I have no enmity with your race; there is only one race I have a complicated relationship with, while the others are all neutral in my eyes."

As he got to this point, Sarah and Mel’s faces suddenly showed sad expressions for a brief moment, causing Elrinira to wonder if he wasn’t talking about his own race for some reason.

“As for me becoming a Sheolarbiter, I don’t even know what one is, so I may still refuse to even become one,” John continued. "The reason I asked is that I believe no one should suffer against their will, not unless it is as punishment for crimes they have committed.”

"Oh, and what race is it that you hate so much?" Elrinira asked, though she already suspected the answer.

John didn't reply and simply turned to glance at the bed as if to make sure Francis and Elrinielle were still asleep.

When John did not reply, Elrinira gave the other women questioning looks; however, while Sarah and Mel seemed keen to avoid eye contact, Silver Oracle and Ninth Wonder of the World merely sighed and shook their heads, indicating that it wasn’t their place to say.

"Ok, here’s the plan,” John suddenly said, attracting the women's attention. “You hold back your sister while Silver Oracle helps the female elf; as for Francis, leave him to the four of us.”

The five women looked at him in surprise before Ninth Wonder of the World asked, “You want us to handle Francis? Alone? You know his stats are all question marks, right?”

"The Kitsune is right,” Elrinira replied. “With the current gap in your strength, he can kill you in one blow."

"Don't worry about that; I have a way to even the playing field," John answered before turning to Mel and Ninth Wonder of the World. "Don't kill him after I weaken him; he has some questions to answer, and also he deserves to suffer for what he has done."

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

John spoke the last part in a cold tone none of them had ever heard him use before, and as the women looked at him in surprise, they noticed that John's piercing blue eyes, which were normally bright and warm, now seemed to be of an icier blue coldness.

"Interesting,” Elrinira replied in amusement. “Very well, young Vincarna, I look forward to seeing how you plan to deal with and punish that bastard.” John nodded in response before stepping through the archway and into the room.

As he did so, Francis and Elrinielle seemed to sense his presence, causing them to wake up before lazily sitting up and glancing around. They observed John coming closer to the bed while Mel, Ninth Wonder of the World and Elrinira followed him, and Silver Oracle went towards the captured elf before casting some healing magic on her and starting to unbind her.

"What's this, Elrinira? Are you betraying me?" Francis asked as he pulled Elrinielle towards him before fondling her breasts while looking at Elrinira provocatively and adding. "You know the punishment your dear sister will face if you betray me, my love."

"Yes, dear sister, why would you betray our love? As you know, he will punish me, hehehe." Elrinielle said it in a very high-pitched tone before laughing.

"You may see me as your love, but to me you are nothing but a mere ant in my eyes. As for you, parasite that inhabits my sister, stop pretending because I already know the truth; you both make me sick." Elrinira spat back venomously.

"Oh, dear darling, it seems my sister is upset with us," Elrinielle chuckled.

"Indeed, and she seems to have brought guests as well. My, oh my, the elf princess Alea- ah, excuse me, I mean the Holy Maiden Princess Silver Oracle." Francis said with a gloating smile. "I heard the elf princess rarely associates with men, and yet here she is with you; I guess this is why you shouldn’t trust gossip.

But still, so many men are going to be awfully upset and jealous when they find out about this, my friend. I hope you're ready for the shit storm that is coming your way, hahaha."

Silver Oracle glared at Francis from where she was healing the elf before saying, “You might be enjoying this now, but you’ll have a surprise waiting for you once you respawn at the graveyard.”

"What's this, what's this?" Francis asked before bursting into laughter. "You can't seriously expect to defeat me? I mean, my darling Elrinira can't help you, as any attack she uses against me will harm her dear sister. The Princess is a pure healer with very little attacking capability, and while she could damage any undead I summon, against me she has no chance.

And then there's the rest of you. I must say I’m surprised to see Blue Ice Queen here, though she’s no threat since her rebirth and judging by all of your gear, the rest of you aren’t even level ten.

John looked at Francis before asking, "You’re really an idiot, aren't you?"

This caused Francis to stop laughing while all the women, including Elrinielle, surprisingly laughed.

"What? Francis asked.

"I said you're an idiot? You don't really believe you could beat Silver Oracle in a one-on-one, do you?"

"Well, obviously, she's just a healer," Francis said with a frown, causing John to sigh and shake his head before saying, "It's because she is a healer that you stand no chance, dumbass. Have you ever even fought a cleric one-on-one before? Wait, don't answer since we already know the answer."

If you had, you would realise your class's only reliable way of healing yourself is useless against a Cleric. One of the Necromancers' passives lets them absorb any blood leaking from their enemies, which in turn heals them. This is one of the things that makes Necromancers so strong in large-scale battles and wars, with so many players bleeding their practically invincible.”

“Well, of course the Necromancer is the strongest class after all." Francis boasted, causing Sarah to roll her eyes and mutter. “He sounds like Rebecca.”

John nodded in agreement before saying, "Honestly, humans really are so conceited, thinking they're always the best."

"You're human yourself, remember," Francis said with a frown while the women gave John various looks.

"I’m aware,” John replied before continuing. “Anyway, what is one of the first spells a Cleric can learn? Don't worry, I’ll tell you it's Cure Wounds, which heals any bleeding on their target at very little MP cost and no cast time or cooldown time. You really should research the other classes more."

“I’m honestly surprised you knew that yourself,” Mel teased.

“I told you I’ve been studying,” John replied, causing Ninth Wonder of the World to wink at him and ask. “Want me to tutor you in private one of these days? I did have the best teachers myself, after all.”

“Says the girl who can’t speak Elvish as well as him,” Sarah retorted.

“Ladies, please,” Elrinira said with amusement. “While I find your banter extremely entertaining, can we save it for a time when we're not trying to save my sister?”
