Amid the loud ringing of the phone, the Positron Cannon roared to life with a blue glow.
Jiang Ran nailed the timing, slamming the answer button on his phone—

The familiar ringing in his ears, the familiar vertigo—Jiang Ran was once again plunged into a vortex of space and time, unable to move or resist.
His five senses vanished into a pitch-black darkness, and he plummeted into a disorienting abyss.
Two seconds later, his senses returned, and he felt solid ground beneath his feet.
