Getting Stronger By Fighting
Chapter 1017 - 1015: Arrival at the Dragon ClanThe Sword Spirit beside him nodded and followed Wang Zhan’s footsteps quickly, heading into the distance.
In the blink of an eye, the two had already passed through towering mountains, but the Dragon Clan was still a distance away, necessitating some time to reach it.
Even though their speed was relatively fast, they couldn’t instantly reach the Dragon Clan.
Meanwhile, inside the Sky Pavilion.
Xiang Tian and others gathered together, and everyone’s gaze was directed towards the back mountain.
Xiang Tian, with his arms crossed, slowly said, "How long is Brother Wang planning to stay in seclusion? It’s been months, yet there’s no news from him; could it be that he’s gone berserk?"
Hearing this, Luo Xue kicked Xiang Tian in the butt, grabbed his ear, and chided, "Can’t you wish Brother Wang well? Others might not know his power, but don’t you?"
"And haven’t you noticed? Even the Sword Spirit hasn’t been in the room, which means he’s certainly with Brother Wang, and as long as they’re together, their power will rapidly improve."
"So just ease your worries."
Xiang Tian sighed, holding back his words.
Footsteps approached from behind the crowd, and soon, Feng Tianci walked towards them.
Feng Tianci had a slight smile on his lips, waving as he spoke, "I assume he’ll need some more time in seclusion. There’s nothing to worry about; I can sense his presence, and his aura is even. It’s definitely not like he’s gone berserk, but better not disturb him, as that could make him go berserk..."
"In the meantime, you all need to improve your cultivation swiftly. Although you can’t catch up to Wang Zhan immediately, you should try to close the gap with him, or you’ll always be dragging him down, right?"
Since Feng Tianci had spoken, they naturally had no worries.
Among those present, even Li Du was not Feng Tianci’s match. Before Wang Zhan entered seclusion, though he entrusted everything to Xuan Yu and Dong Tianlei, Feng Tianci had certain decision-making powers, and going against his intentions was not an option.
Soon, everyone went their separate ways.
Feng Tianci shook his head, and before speaking, heard footsteps behind him.
Beside him, Li Du approached with his arms crossed, glanced at the back mountain, and smiled wryly, "Since you know Wang Zhan is no longer in the back mountain, and the Sword Spirit is with him, why continue helping him hide?"
"We don’t even know where Wang Zhan is now. If something unexpected happens to him outside, wouldn’t you become everyone’s enemy?"
Feng Tianci was taken aback by this, then looked at Li Du, chuckled, and said, "Didn’t expect you’ve improved enough to sense Wang Zhan’s absence?"
"Of course."
Li Du laughed, "Though I’m not your match, the gap between us isn’t vast or insurmountable; I can naturally sense Wang Zhan’s departure."
Feng Tianci nodded, looked at the departing crowd, and smiled, "Indeed, compared to them, your mind and means are far superior."
"With you around, they face less danger. No wonder Wang Zhan wanted you to stay here; in hindsight, it was all his plan..."
Li Du said nothing; his presence was solely for Wang Zhan’s sake, not caring for other matters.
"Alright, since we’ve discussed everything, let’s not waste time here. Let’s get to work."
Li Du walked into the Sky Pavilion first.
Standing behind him, Feng Tianci, with arms crossed, watched Li Du’s back, a faint smile on his lips.
In an instant, they parted ways.
Meanwhile.
Wang Zhan and Sword Spirit continued on their journey to the Dragon Clan.
After half a month’s travel, they arrived at the Dragon Clan’s Base.
Before them lay a vast ocean, endless to the eye.
Wang Zhan looked at the Sword Spirit beside him and curiously asked, "Didn’t expect to see the sea on the Star War Battlefield? It’s quite a marvelous thing."
"The Star War Battlefield is merely a reflection of the real world, encompassing everything from the planet you once lived on, hence it’s all visible here."
Sword Spirit explained briefly.
No one knew the Star War Battlefield better than Sword Spirit.
Wang Zhan was unsure how long the Sword Spirit had existed on the Star War Battlefield, but clearly, it was far more experienced than him.
"So how do we enter this ocean? These Dragon Clan folks should be beneath the sea, right?"
Having arrived, Wang Zhan understood Sword Spirit’s intentions, knowing the sea was the Dragon Clan’s domain.
Sword Spirit pointed to the seabed, laughed, and said, "We’ll just dive down. For us, it’s not difficult."
"Not difficult?"
Wang Zhan retorted awkwardly, "There’s definitely pressure under the sea. Once inside, it won’t be easy to get out; if we get stuck, we’ll be trapped..."
"I’ve thought about it but can’t find a good solution. Are we really going to plunge into the ocean?"
Sword Spirit nodded with a growing smile, patted Wang Zhan’s shoulder, and said, "Entering the ocean isn’t as troublesome as you think. With our combined strength, diving in is as easy as walking, posing no burden."
"Before long, we’ll alert the Dragon Clan folks, who’ll assist us. Once in their territory, it’s like being on land, so let’s just go!"
Before Wang Zhan could react, Sword Spirit grabbed his arm, swiftly heading underwater.
In an instant, they were in the ocean.
Though speaking was tough underwater, Wang Zhan and Sword Spirit communicated through thoughts.
Being together so long, they had developed an unspoken bond, a mere gaze sufficing.
In a flash, they reached the depths of the sea.
Unexpectedly, Wang Zhan found a large azure gate before him.
The gate remained closed. Standing before it, Wang Zhan looked at the Sword Spirit and slowly said, "If I’m not mistaken, this should be the Dragon Clan’s Base."
"But how do we get in?"
According to Sword Spirit, the Dragon Clan should’ve welcomed them, but since no one was present, something was clearly amiss...
Wang Zhan had tried, but due to the underwater pressure, his power was suppressed, far from peak strength.
Thinking of it, Wang Zhan felt troubled.
If strong adversaries appeared, they’d be fish readily caught.
Sword Spirit, with arms crossed, laughed, "Since they didn’t greet us, let’s just open the gate and enter. We’re here by Azure Dragon Venerable’s invitation, here to help the Dragon Clan resolve issues, so those pup fellows can’t give us trouble."
The Sword Spirit understood the Dragon Clan well and knew Azure Dragon Venerable’s status within it. In a sense, Wang Zhan was Azure Dragon Venerable’s successor, and the Dragon Clan had neither the courage nor reason to challenge him.
Wang Zhan nodded, raising his hand to touch the azure gate.
A blinding light burst forth; Wang Zhan swiftly shielded his eyes.
Sword Spirit quickly moved forward, releasing a silver glow that met the blazing light.
"What’s going on?"
Perplexed, Wang Zhan turned to Sword Spirit; with Sword Spirit controlling the light, he needn’t play the hero, as he was still somewhat restrained.
Sword Spirit glanced at Wang Zhan, smiling, "It’s just a barrier."
