Global Descent: I Alone Can See Hidden Evolution Paths

Chapter 105: encounter with ancient clan elders

The Sun-Crested Sky-Clipper sailed peacefully through the upper cloud layers of the Empyrean realm, its massive spiritual teakwood oars cutting through the white mist without making a single sound. Following the massive victory at the tournament, the entire family was resting inside the main deck quarters, their internal channels humming with the new, amplified spiritual energy from the Divine Reward .

Min-jae stood at the forward prow of the wooden ship, his forearms leaning calmly against the polished railing as he watched the shifting horizon. He had unsealed his heavy armor, wearing only his comfortable black silk lounging shirt. His eyes were quiet, but his chest felt a sudden, deep frequency vibration from his Vajra World-Breaker Core.

"Min-jae, the ambient pressure ahead is rising too fast," Major General Shin Ye-rin reported, her long silver-and-white silk gown sweeping the deck as she quickly walked out from the helm cabin. Her face carried a sharp, serious tactical focus. "We are approaching the outer perimeter of the Empyrean High Courts—the central capital sector of the ancient masters. But the radar is tracking a massive, hidden distortion grid blocking the primary cloud rifts."

Min-jae didn’t shift his stance. He focused his thoughts, calling out to his cultivation interface to scan the horizon.

[Sovereign Cultivation Interface Active!]

[Current Location: The High Court Border Rifts.]

[Warning: An Ambush Formation has been initialized by the Surviving Ancient Clan Elders!]

[Target Intention: They have combined their life-force to deploy the ’Heaven-Locking Array’ to forcefully trap your flying ship and crush your family’s meridians!]

[Hidden Loophole: The array’s central connection node is floating right inside the upper eye of the storm! A direct physical strike using your refined Divine Flame will shatter their entire grid!]

Before Min-jae could issue a defensive order to the helm, the peaceful white clouds all around the ship violently turned into a pitch-black, swirling vortex of absolute lightning and heavy spatial dust. Materializing directly out of the storm lines were three hundred high-stage Ancient Clan Elders (Level 63–64 Divine Soul Realm), their faces contorted into masks of pure, humiliated vengeance as they raised their glowing iron staves.

"Lower-plane heretic!" the lead elder screamed venomously, his voice shaking the wooden bulkheads. "You out-smarted our patriarchs and stole the sacred treasures of our plane! You think your mechanical ship can breach the absolute capital borders of the High Courts?! Die inside the Heaven-Locking Array!"

A massive, miles-wide net of purple restriction lightning and heavy earth-law pressure violently converged straight toward the ship’s deck, designed to molecularly crush their veins.

Min-jae didn’t rely on his passive reflection loop this time. His black eyes flashed with a cold, predatory focus as he decided to test his newly refined metrics. With a heavy metallic hiss, he summoned his True Vajra Sub-Divine God-Armor back onto his frame, the dark alloy plates locking tightly over his chest as his Solar Zenith Domain ignited the entire wooden deck into a burning mass of white primordial fire.

"Xiao, anchor the ship’s barrier," Min-jae commanded flatly, his low baritone carrying a quiet, absolute authority that instantly put a stop to the harem’s rising panic. "Ji-a, Medusa, stay behind my flank. I am clearing this trail myself."

"Yes, husband!" Yoo Ji-a and Medusa called out together, their long silk gowns billowing wildly as they stood tightly pressed against his sides, their eyes wide with an intense, fanatical adoration as they watched him step forward.

Min-jae lunged straight off the wooden prow of the ship, his body moving at an un-trackable, supersonic velocity as he shot directly into the center of the dark storm rifts. He reached over his shoulder, his strong fingers firmly wrapping around the heavy hilt of his massive Sovereign Golden Greatsword

"Divine Flame Burst," Min-jae snarled.

He didn’t just swing his blade; he forcefully channeled the entire, white-hot compression load of the newly refined Divine Flame straight through the golden runes of his greatsword. A catastrophic, blinding crescent wave of pure, concentrated crimson fire qi violently roared outward from the blade, slicing straight through the purple restriction net like common glass. The 500% un-blockable True Damage from his skills treated their ancient array calculations like thin air.

"w-what?!" the lead elder gasped out, his body trembling violently in total, breathless panic as he saw his clan’s highest array fracture into millions of light pixels with a single strike. "How can a mortal human deploy that volume of fire-law technique?!"

Min-jae didn’t give them a single microsecond to recover. He executed his highest-tier active technique, The Vajra World-Breaker Strike. He spun his heavy golden sword in a massive horizontal circle, unleashing a secondary supernova blast of solar lightning and refined fire qi that traveled instantly across the entire three-hundred-man line.

The execution was absolute demolition. Min-jae’s active skills and refined flame power treated their high-stage immortal shields and ruby chest armor plates like dry paper. In less than three seconds, the entire three-hundred-man elder division let out a collective, choked shriek of pure, un-adulterated terror as their nine-foot frames were completely, molecularly deleted from the universal ledger, turning into a clean cloud of white experience particles and a massive pile of system gold right in mid-air.

The high court ambush had been completely, flawlessly dismantled by his own active strength without scratching a single window of their flying ship.

Min-jae smoothly landed back onto the wide wooden deck of the Sun-Crested Sky-Clipper, sheathing his golden blade with a sharp, heavy click. His armor unsealed with a soft hiss, leaving him back in his black cotton shirt as his level needle clicked firmly forward from the massive shared Exp dump.

"The border clutter is fully handled," Min-jae murmured flatly, his low, steady baritone dropping back into its quiet calm.

Before he could walk back to the helm, a sudden wave of physical exhaustion from pushing his meridians to fire the Divine Flame hit his chest. He dropped onto a nearby wooden bench on the deck, his breathing turning slightly ragged as a deep crimson flush rapidly crept up his neck.

Yoo Ji-a and Medusa didn’t waste a single second. Realizing the battle was over and their husband was entering a post-breakthrough recovery state, their intense, playful territorial jealousy completely exploded back to life with double the intensity.

"You were completely incredible, Min-jae!" Yoo Ji-a purred loudly, her face flushing an intense, flustered pink as she aggressively threw her athletic, silk-draped body straight onto the bench beside his right arm. Her long midnight-black ponytail swayed as she tightly wrapped her slender arms around his neck, pulling his head against her shoulder. "You promised me a real romantic session after the tournament, and now your channels are burning! I’m the main vanguard, so I’m the only one who gets to clean your shoulder plates tonight!"

"The shadow spear should learn to control her frantic greed," Medusa countered smoothly, her large, piercing icy-blue eyes narrowing into a sharp field of pure envy as she immediately squeezed her exceptionally voluptuous hourglass figure and heavy chest straight onto his left side. Her porcelain cheeks were flushed a deep, sultry pink as her violet silk robes tangled with his arm, her breath warm against his skin. "Our Sovereign requires my royal demon cooling metrics to soothe his internal heat right now. Move your robe, Ji-a."

Liu Xiao and Han Seo-yoon walked over with heavy, graceful steps, their long silk trains sweeping across the floorboards as they watched Min-jae’s flustered embarrassment with beautiful, genuinely satisfied smirks. Min-jae sat perfectly trapped between the close-proximity lock of his ten beautiful wives, his hands awkwardly shifting as his ears burned a bright, flustered pink under their suffocating devotion. The external ambush was cleared, the gateway to the central Empyrean High Courts was wide open.
