Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 385 - 169: Triple the Power When Dark, Threefold Weaker When Redeemed_2They have now returned once more.
But they are no longer who they once were.
The Light Energy Users under the Light Energy Race no longer possess the once-transparent blue light energy bodies; instead, they are replaced by gray bodies like a lifeless silence.
This kind of body still retains some characteristics of elemental creatures, but it is more inclined to a solid state.
The crimson eyes on their faces form a sinister inverted triangle, with hooked corners that curve upward like sickles.
The once-smooth limbs have disappeared entirely.
At least four sinister and emaciated, yet exceedingly long limbs, like skeletal scythe-like claws, spread from the upper body.
It is evident.
The Light Energy Race has embraced a power not belonging to their kind.
The shimmering pure blue light energy like an expansive sea has long vanished.
In its place is the gray murk of corruption and fall from grace.
Now, perhaps they should be called the Fallen Light Energy Race.
On the battlefield against the Kangmi Robots, creatures resembling the evil eyes from Western Fantasy World don black armor, trailing ocher-red tentacles, with the central eye of the body monitoring everything from above.
Crafted by combining technology and innate abilities, a giant eye hovers above the firmament, unleashing a terrifying gray torrent that bombards like an orbital laser, turning the once-bright sky into a somber hell.
Below, countless Fallen Light Energy Users sprint forward.
Even under the bombardment of scarlet beams, these ravaging, zombie-like Fallen Light Energy Users show no signs of pausing.
They howl, ripping apart the Annihilation Tanks of the robots with their claws covered in gray glow, tearing open the iron-clad minds of the giants, even smashing the strongest frontline units of the robots—the mobile factories—with thick beams of light.
It seems nothing can stop these already fallen beings.
No one knows what those four-clawed Fallen Light Energy Users that now cover the mountains and fields once were centuries ago.
The brutality and frenzy that seethe from their bones, and the attributes allowing them rapid recovery even after being pierced through, have no recordings in Cyberstan’s servers.
Ten meter tall three-legged electric crabs are covered with heavy light energy shields, equipped with light energy cannons far more powerful than Annihilation Tanks.
Often all it takes is one gray chain lightning strike for the robots’ most prideful super-space transport ship and single soldier cannon ship to crash down, bursting into scarlet shards.
Sometimes, when the robots had barely managed to airdrop a wave of Special Forces composed entirely of giants to carve a bloody path on the battlefield, an even larger Fallen Light Energy Race unit appears abruptly behind them, like a sudden flash.
Powerful gray muscles bulge high, and in the head resembling a pyramid from Silent Hill, an eye still retains ocean blue, faintly reminding one of the once peace-loving Light Energy Race.
But when their lipless mouths, like those of a Licker, open wide to reveal the oral apparatus wrapped in tentacles and spikes, they no longer resemble their old selves in the slightest.
They are spirits once unwilling at the brink of extinction, roaring after hundreds of years of delay.
Enormous, sharp claws swipe through, easily tearing giants clad in super heavy armor as though they were paper.
The war seems to be waged in a lopsided fashion.
Even though the robots possess powerful troop generating capabilities and airborne unit support.
In front of the Fallen Light Energy Race, who have embraced darkness, they are utterly unable to withstand the onslaught.
The once Master of Illusory Light, rich in knowledge and ever pursuing the path of Truth, now shows none of their former elegance and sophistication.
They have become ghost-like figures, riding on modified carriers, continuously unleashing terrifying gray energy with their skinny and grotesque limbs.
These gray light waves, chilling to gaze upon, are an unknown force.
Even robots, a race fully converted into Steel Bodies, rot and melt into a gray liquid when entangled by it in a short time.
Only parts of specially structured bodies can remain intact.
That is a component of the ancient Light Energy Race technology.
Although continually eroded, decayed, and melted by the gray energy, it doesn’t work immediately.
Cloaked in blood-red robes, one by one, the Light Energy Decision Makers stand proudly among the skies, jointly releasing Death Balls far surpassing ordinary Forbidden Curses.
With just a single strike, a heavily guarded super-heavy base, even with both a Soron Beacon and Jamming Tower, was wiped off the map, with the super-space transport ship not yet airborne melting amid this world-ending blow.
This is not a war.
It is a massacre.
A massacre, exacting revenge on humanity.
Even with the Kangmi Robots being merely a human offshoot, even an opposing faction to the Superhuman Federation, the Fallen Light Energy Users would not let them go.
Within the vast concealed eye that blots out the sun, the highest commanders and officers of the Light Energy Race’s battlefield gathered here, looking on with delight and hatred at the scene below.
This is the great ship of the Light Energy Race, one of the highest-tech marvels of the Light Energy Race, its power is an apocalyptic existence.
However, who would have thought, aboard this great Light Energy Race flagship stands a purebred human.
He stands beside the commander, a smile upon his face.
If Lu Wenwu were here, one sweep of his Eye of Insight would reveal that this man is from the Blue Star resistance, a player with A+ Level power.
These people hold great malice towards the Dungeon System and continuously strive to disrupt other players from entering dungeons.
Just like now, he somehow gained the trust of the Fallen Light Energy Race and was directly appointed as the counsel of the Light Energy Race’s First Revenge Army, gaining a degree of influence.
It was upon his suggestion that the Light Energy Race rashly attacked the robot homeland immediately after landing ashore.
Compared to confronting the ever-mighty Superhuman Federation head-on, forcing the robots into a two-front war would be the easiest path to victory.
Moreover, after taking over the robot’s 710 Elemental Farm and securing ample energy supplies, waging war against the Superhuman Federation or annihilating the bugs would thereafter become the most sensible course of action.
Thus, while neither side on the ground realized that the Light Energy Race had won its revival match, these vengeful beings ambushed like bandits on their way, forcefully joining the fray.
The timing they chose was extremely clever.
Seizing the moment when the main robot forces were bogged down by the Meilafeng River’s Super Human Alliance armed forces and numerous Yellow Springs Warriors, the Fallen Light Energy Race landed on the West Coast, advancing irresistibly and triumphantly.
In a mere week, they had captured the robot capital, New Cyberstan.
More terrifying still, the Fallen Light Energy Race somehow acquired intelligence and destroyed all five of the robots’ core servers, completely dismantling the entire robot societal structure.
With the servers for storing and uploading consciousness disappeared, this meant that the millions of robots currently existing had become drifting without roots.
They could no longer achieve immortality through consciousness uploads, nor could they achieve a frenetic troop generation through consciousness downloads.
Now, with their brains shattered which used to house consciousness, true death would ensue.
If unimpeded, under the dual attack of the Light Energy Race and the Superhuman Federation, the once haughty Kangmi Robots or Cyberstan People are on the brink of annihilation.
But....
There is always some unanticipated development at this point.
For instance.....
The newly appointed Grand President Lu Wenwu of the Superhuman Federation, to fulfill the will of freedom and democracy, decided to re-accept (or subdue) the remaining Kangmi Robots back into the human fold.
