Five names stacked up in his notifications at once, more than he usually saw land together.
’Elentra.’
That was the name Elena had told him she’d use, back when they still talked about things like that.
Logan let out a short laugh, more surprised than anything else.
’Guess we crossed paths without ever actually meeting.’
He didn’t have time to sit with it much longer than that. The mountain was still waiting.
The next twelve hours went by faster than any stretch of this match had a right to.
The southern mountain gave up its relic first, a fire-scarred peak where something calling itself Pyraxis, the Ashen Devourer, learned the hard way that eleven stacked buffs didn’t leave much room for fire to actually do anything.
```
[ Dragwir Relic (3 of 4) acquired. ]
```
The eastern mountain came next, storms rolling across its peak thick enough to blot out the sky before Zeloryn, the Tempest Unbound, ever showed itself. It didn’t last much longer than the others once Zephyr claimed the same sky it had been hiding in, buffed by over ten stacked buffs from the rest of the group.
```
[ Dragwir Relic (4 of 4) acquired. ]
```
Between the two peaks, four more bases fell along the way, players who’d built up real defenses only to watch them come apart against an army that had stopped noticing the difference between a fight and a formality days ago.
Whatever wasn’t a base or a boss died just as fast, monster after monster falling to a group that barely had to slow down to clear them anymore.
By the time Logan held all four relics in his hand, his Tower Points sat higher than his previous record.
```
[ 163,390 Tower Points ]
```
He laid the four relics out in a rough circle on the ground and stepped back, not entirely sure what was supposed to happen next.
He didn’t have to wait long to find out.
The four of them lifted off the ground at once, drawn toward a shared center point, light spilling out from wherever their edges touched.
They fused together in a single blinding flash, and when Logan’s eyes adjusted, something new sat where four separate pieces had been a second earlier.
```
[ Reward: +1 Card Summon Slot & 0.5 Increment in Tier Point Multiplier ]
```
Then something bigger followed: a notification that didn’t stay confined to his own screen.
```
[ Match-wide Announcement: Player L has completed the World Quest, Curse of the Dragwir. This battlefield’s one and only World Quest has now been cleared. ]
```
Logan stood there a moment, letting it actually land. Every player in this match had just seen his name attached to something none of them would ever get the chance to do themselves.
’One and only.’ He looked at the empty space where the four relics used to be. ’Guess there’s no competition for this one anymore.’
The relics disappeared, and he already got the reward, even though he didn’t get anything physically.
---
"This bastard..." Player Uorop looked at the leaderboard.
```
[ Overall Score Leaderboard ]
Rank 1 | L | 39,490
Rank 2 | Uorop | 19,930
Rank 3 | Mesian | 12,200
Rank 4 | StarRanger | 10,430
Rank 5 | ...
```
"World Quest must have given him that ten thousand score boost he just got. He’s eliminated so many players too."
Uorop clenched his fists.
He could eliminate other players too, but the bases he found were reinforced now, meaning it took his whole army against theirs, and every attack cost him summons he couldn’t easily replace. He couldn’t keep attacking with a weaker and weaker army every time.
He’d been clearing Field Bosses and dungeons on the side too, whatever he could find.
But he could never catch up to that L bastard in score. The gap just kept widening.
"Just how is he doing this? What are his Talent and Class?"
---
Logan arrived at Romen’s location not long after.
"Back already?" Romen’s eyebrows rose. "That was fast."
"Class Ascension Crystal." Logan didn’t bother with pleasantries. "I’ve got the points."
```
[ Class Ascension Crystal purchased. -150,000 Tower Points ]
```
Romen handed it over, and Logan pulled the Class Change Crystal out of his ring right alongside it.
"Combine them."
The two crystals drifted together in his open palm and fused into one, light pulsing steadily where the seam between them used to be.
’Two words.’ The same blank spaces from before opened up in his mind, waiting.
He didn’t overthink it this time. Two words, powerful enough to sound the part even if they didn’t guarantee anything.
’Omnimender.’
’Grimblade.’
The crystal answered immediately, color spilling out of it in a wash that didn’t stay any one shade for more than a second, gold and crimson and violet bleeding into each other before settling into something darker.
By the time it stopped shifting, an exotic medallion hung suspended in the air in front of him, dark gold metal inlaid with colorful gemstones, a sword etched across its face in a design too fine to have been carved by hand.
It drifted forward and sank straight into his chest without any resistance at all, disappearing the way the crystal itself had.

Logan held his breath without meaning to.
```
[ New Class Acquired: Axiom Blade Grimlord ]
Rank: Mythic
```
Romen went very still.
"Mythic." He said it slow, like he needed to hear himself say it to actually believe it. "You just went from Normal-rank to Mythic in one shot."
Logan looked at the words hanging in front of him and felt a blaze settle deep in his chest.
He laughed, without any reservations.
"Let’s fucking go!"
’Mythic-rank class, and X-rank talent!’
Logan’s eyes brightened with ambition and resolve. ’Mom, Dad, Vina. Just wait a bit more. I’m coming back soon, and we will no longer live like we’ve been living.’
He didn’t open the skill list yet. He just stood there another second, letting himself feel exactly as good about it as he’d earned the right to.
And then he opened the class tab. ’Let’s see what I got.’
