Trent didn’t get a chance to do anything but watch it happen.
"Stop them! Kill them!"
However, the three Legendary-rank summons, as well as a bunch of Normal- to Uncommon-rank Spacecrafts, might as well be a bunch of paper against the blades of these knights.
"Fuck...my legendaries were completely useless?! Why are those little shits so fast?!"
The little knights’ adopted talents and skills of Solveig were used freely to tear apart the enemy forces.
Seeing them, Trent’s liver turned green with regret. ’Fuck, I shouldn’t have attacked him. Now I have to fucking grind for a month again.’
The core was punched clean through by four blades landing at once, and the rest of the ship followed a half second later in a spreading collapse of its own structural integrity.

[ You have eliminated Player Trent Hollis. +80 Tower Points. ]

With that settled, Logan finally pushed his own Mothership through the widest of the entry passages and into the Ruins proper. Most other players were still cautious and not willing to enter the ruins right off the bat as they acted and played according to their load-out, but those confident enough entered the ruins right away.
A swarm was already waiting just past the entrance, a dozen or so creatures unlike anything he’d fought outside, scaled hides catching light in patterns that seemed to shift depending on the angle he looked from.
```
[ Ruin Stalkers x12 ]
Level: 40 | Tier-4 | Rare
```
The first three Stalkers broke from the pack at once, low and fast, claws throwing up sparks where they dragged against the stone floor.
Logan didn’t wait for them to close. He stepped into the gap between two of them, blade already rising.
Overgrim Slash!
A dark arc tore free of Grimlord’s Blade and cut clean through both Stalkers in the same line, their scaled hides splitting open in twin sprays of pale ichor before either one hit the ground. Something in the wounds flickered gold for half a second before the light peeled away and rushed back toward him instead, threading straight into his chest. His MP ticked upward instead of down.
The third one used the opening to lunge, jaws already wide, and Logan turned into it instead of away, catching the strike on the flat of his blade and using the creature’s own momentum to throw it wide.
He followed the throw with a single downward cut, and the Stalker’s shifting hide stopped shifting entirely the moment the blade found something solid underneath it.
Grim Harvest!
It was Insta-killed with a single thought of Logan as its HP lowered below 10%.
Four more came at him from three different angles, clearly having learned something from watching the first three die, and this time Logan let them come rather than meeting them halfway.
He read the first strike a full half second before it landed, sidestepping a set of claws aimed at his throat, and answered with a backhand cut that opened the creature’s flank before it finished overextending.
Blood Spores!
The wound didn’t close, dark motes sinking into it and trickling lifesteal back toward him, which he didn’t need, as he pivoted straight into the next one, opening its chest in the same continuous swing.
Two more fell right behind it in the same rhythm, close enough together that Logan barely registered the gap between them, blade finding one throat and then the other before either got a claw up.
The last five came together in a tighter formation than any of the others had bothered with, clearly the smartest of the group, or maybe just the last ones desperate enough to try coordination.
He could feel he still had MP without checking it.
Overgrim Slash!
The slash caught three of them dead center, tearing clean through without losing an ounce of momentum, and the gold light of Grim Siphoning Edge came rushing back to him again before the last of them even hit the ground.
The final two broke and ran, some instinct finally overriding whatever had been driving them to fight in the first place, and Logan closed the distance in two strides and ended it before either one made it more than a few meters.
[ 12x Ruin Stalker defeated. +3280 Tower Points. ]
Logan checked his own MP out of habit more than need, and found it sitting at over 70%. He grinned. ’It was the right decision to pick that skill.’
Somewhere off to his left, a pattern etched into the stone floor caught light that had no obvious source, faint lines flaring gold one after another until the whole shape had lit itself completely. The slab beneath it ground open a second later, an ancient storage compartment rising into view, packed dense with Tier-4 materials, herbs, and resources Logan didn’t recognize at a glance.
He’d barely started sorting through it when another Mothership dropped into the passage behind him, settling low enough that its deck sat level with his own.
"Boss, someone’s here."
"Enemy."
Billy and Solveig were ready, just waiting for command.
The player standing on it looked to be in his early twenties, sharp-jawed and lean, Mythic-rank gear fitted to his frame the same way Logan’s own was, a scythe resting easy across one shoulder that looked entirely too comfortable in his grip for someone using it casually.
"Leon Flanke." He said the name like he’d been waiting to use it. "I’m Dawn Reaper. Mythic-class, Legendary-talent, so don’t think I’m afraid of you."
"Leave the loot there, and I’ll let you surrender." He licked his lips, something hungry surfacing behind his eyes. "Or I can let my scythe drink your blood instead. Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve killed seven players so far. Mixed bunch, ours and theirs. No discrimination."
The scythe alone looked dangerous, edge catching light in a way that suggested it had tasted more than just air. Behind him, two more Mythic-rank Spacecraft held position, both clearly purchased outright from the shop, and ten other Spacecraft of Normal, Uncommon, and one Rare-rank.
Logan looked him over, eyebrows raised. ’Looks like he came just as prepared as I did.’
But underneath the calculation, his pulse had already started climbing, anticipation winning out clean over any actual worry.
He wanted to fight!
"If you want to accept my challenge, then let’s do a duel." Dawn Reaper grinned. "A duel where if you can’t surrender in time, you’re dead. Sounds fun, right?"
