Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons
Chapter 529: Keep Moving (Bonus - )The Weeping Blood Stonemen did not stop.
They continued pouring out from the surrounding passages, one after another, their massive bodies squeezing through the narrow openings before charging toward Thoren and his undead servants.
It was as if the entire stone maze had come alive.
More appeared from the passage behind them.
More emerged from the passage ahead.
Even the side passages they had previously crossed began releasing the strange creatures, their hollow sockets overflowing with blood as their eerie cries echoed throughout the maze.
"Uuuuuugh..."
"Uuuuuugh..."
The collective weeping became almost deafening.
Yet the undead did not hesitate.
At the very front of the formation, the undead General stood like an executioner. Its massive saber swept through the narrow passage with terrifying brutality.
Whoosh!
The blade cleaved through the Weeping Blood Stoneman from shoulder to waist. Its upper body separated from the lower half before crashing heavily against the stone floor.
Without stopping, the undead General immediately stepped forward.
Another Stoneman rushed toward it.
The massive saber rose.
Then descended.
Slash!
Every step pushed the undead formation farther forward. It was slowly transforming the narrow passage into a road paved with shattered stone and blood.
But the Weeping Blood Stonemen continued coming.
One disappeared beneath the saber.
Two more immediately appeared behind it.
Then another three emerged from a side passage. Slowly, the narrow passage ahead became completely packed with their massive bodies.
The undead General's hollow eyes was emotionless.
It simply raised its saber again.
Whoosh!
Boom!
A massive arc of destructive force swept across the passage. Several Weeping Blood Stonemen were struck simultaneously.
Their stone bodies cracked apart as chunks of crimson rock flew in every direction.
Yet even as their bodies collapsed, more continued advancing.
There seemed to be no end.
At that moment, the undead Storm Tyrant moved beside the General and raised its enormous hammer.
Its muscles tightened.
Then it swung.
BOOM!
The hammer slammed into the chest of a Weeping Blood Stoneman with enough force to completely cave in its torso.
The creature flew backward while its massive body smashed into three others behind it.
All four collapsed together.
The undead Storm Tyrant immediately followed.
BOOM!
Another hammer strike.
BOOM!
Each impact shook the stone maze.
Crimson fragments rained across the ground while the eerie cries of the Stonemen became even louder.
The undead General and the undead Storm Tyrant fought side by side. One used its massive saber to carve through anything directly in front of them.
While the other used overwhelming physical strength to smash apart anything that survived the saber.
Their combination was brutally efficient.
No hesitation.
No unnecessary retreat.
The moment one Weeping Blood Stoneman survived a saber strike, the Storm Tyrant's hammer would descend.
The moment another attempted to slip around the Storm Tyrant, the General's saber would already be waiting.
Thoren remained behind them.
He did not need to interfere as his undead were doing exactly what he had commanded.
"Keep moving."
His calm voice echoed through the chaotic passage.
The undead General immediately stepped forward pushing forward with brutal efficiency.
But just as they entered a wider passage, the surroundings suddenly changed. The narrow corridor they had been following opened into a large intersection.
Three separate passages extended from it.
The passage on the left was the one they had originally used while the central passage continued deeper into the maze.
As for the passage on the right, it was completely unfamiliar.
Thoren glanced briefly at the surroundings as he noticed the stone formations had shifted again. The route they had previously traveled through was no longer completely recognizable.
The maze was changing and it was deliberate.
Yet Thoren did not stop.
"Forward."
The undead General immediately turned toward the central passage.
The Storm Tyrant followed.
The undead formation moved deeper into the maze.
But the moment they entered the new passage, the Weeping Blood Stonemen appeared again.
They emerged from both sides.
The front.
The rear.
It was as though the maze itself was continuously feeding them into the battlefield.
"Uuuuuugh..."
The sorrowful cries echoed from every direction.
Sensing the overwhelming sorrowful cries, Thoren narrowed his eyes. To others, they were many and impossible to defeat but to him.
They were nothing.
"Continue."
The battle continued.
Meanwhile, at the rear of the formation, the undead Kharv had become an executioner of his own.
Whoosh!
The axe descended.
CRACK!
A Stoneman was cleaved apart from head to waist.
Before the corpse could even collapse completely, another Weeping Blood Stoneman rushed forward.
Slash!
The axe cleaved through its chest.
The creature staggered backward, blood pouring from its shattered body. Without stopping, the undead Kharv stepped forward.
Boom!
Its axe descended again and split the creature's head apart.
The undead Kharv did not allow anything to pass.
Every Weeping Blood Stoneman that attempted to approach from behind met the same fate. But eventually, one of them managed to slip past the axe.
It charged forward.
Before it could take another step, a massive broadsword flashed through the darkness.
Whoosh!
The undead Guild Captain appeared beside Kharv while its broadsword swept across the creature's body.
Slash!
The Weeping Blood Stoneman was hacked apart and Its upper body slid away from its lower half before crashing onto the crimson sand.
At the same time, the front continued advancing. The undead General and Storm Tyrant were gradually forcing their way deeper into the maze.
The path behind them was now completely covered with shattered stone bodies. The once-clean passages had become a horrifying battlefield.
Crimson blood flowed through the cracks in the stone. Broken limbs and shattered chunks of stone littered the ground.
Unfortunately, the eerie weeping continued without interruption.
The stone maze was not merely attempting to trap them. It was continuously changing the battlefield.
Every passage they entered could become a dead end. But Thoren did not care as he simply pointed forward.
"Keep going."
The undead General immediately charged deeper into the newly opened passage while the Storm Tyrant followed with another thunderous hammer strike.
BOOM!
