Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 548: Finaly Preparation - Part 2

The second artifact sat quietly on the table, its surface covered in delicate runes that seemed to shift whenever the light touched them.

Although it did not possess the overwhelming aura of the Thousands Soul Registry, Celene, Alden and Arwyn could still tell from the faint fluctuation of energy surrounding it that it was far from an ordinary artifact.

Thoren glanced at the three of them before casually explaining. "This is called the Ticket Artifact."

He tapped his finger against its surface.

"It is a Peak Bronze Grade Artifact."

Celene’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"The ticket?"

"Yes."

Thoren picked up the artifact and turned it over, revealing a small groove surrounded by several intricate rune patterns.

"Black Water will use beast skin to create the tickets."

He spoke slowly, making sure they understood each part.

"Once a customer purchases a ticket, the beast skin will be processed through this artifact and etched with a unique rune."

Alden leaned forward slightly.

"Unique?"

"Every ticket receives a different rune." Thoren nodded.

"No two tickets will have the same rune pattern, and once the buyer binds the ticket with their blood, the rune becomes permanently connected to them."

Arwyn’s eyes flashed.

"So it can’t be copied?"

"It cannot be imitated or forged."

Thoren’s answer was simple.

"Even if someone obtains the exact same type of beast skin and uses another runic formation to reproduce the appearance of the ticket, the rune will not recognize them."

He placed the ticket artifact back on the table.

"The artifact records the buyer when the ticket is created, and the blood binding completes the process."

Celene stared at the artifact.

She had initially assumed that Thoren had simply created a method to sell access to the Scorpion City.

But the more he explained, the more she realized that he had already considered almost every problem that could arise.

Forgery.

Reselling.

Fake tickets.

Even theft.

Everything had been accounted for.

Her lips parted slightly. "So the ticket itself becomes proof of ownership."

"Exactly." Thoren nodded.

"Anyone holding a ticket without the proper blood connection will not be recognized."

Celene leaned back slowly and her expression became increasingly complicated.

’This is getting too real!’ She screamed inwardly, her palm slowly becoming sweaty beneath the table.

Until now, she had always viewed Black Water as something that Thoren had casually established because he needed a source of income and information while exploring the Abyss.

But now she was beginning to understand that he was not treating it as a temporary arrangement.

He was building a real organization.

Suddenly, the responsibility on their shoulders felt much heavier. And she couldn’t help but swallow hard.

Beside her, Alden also swallowed the lumps in his throat.

Although he and his sister had already led their party for many months, they had never experienced anything like this.

Leading a small party of adventurers was one thing. Managing Black Water was something else entirely.

Thoren was placing an organization capable of spreading throughout the Abyss into their hands.

The thought alone made his shoulders feel heavier.

’Can we really handle this?’ He glanced at the Thousands Soul Registry and then the Ticket Artifact.

The answer seemed obvious.

They had to.

There was no room for hesitation.

Arwyn remained remarkably calm on the surface, her expression barely changing as she studied the artifact, but inwardly, her thoughts were moving rapidly.

’Where is he getting all these powerful artifacts?’

One Peak Bronze Grade Artifact could already make countless people fight over it.

A Low Silver Grade Artifact was entirely something else. Never in her wildest dream did she think she was going to see a Silver Grade Artifact.

Not this early in the abyss, though.

Yet Thoren had brought them out. A sharp glint flashed deep in her eyes.

’I guess there is more to the Grim Reaper than we all know...’

She had already known that Thoren was mysterious. But now she was beginning to understand that she had probably only seen the surface.

"This is easy to use. I don’t need to elaborate."

Thoren said casually before placing the Ticket Artifact beside the Thousands Soul Registry.

The three remained silent while their eyes moved between the two artifacts. They were still trying to digest what Thoren had just explained.

But before they could fully process it, Thoren reached into his inventory again.

Whoosh!

Another artifact appeared.

This time, the moment it appeared, the atmosphere inside the room changed and a powerful fluctuation spread outward.

The runes engraved across the artifact lit up faintly, causing the air around it to ripple.

Celene’s body stiffened.

Alden’s eyes widened.

Arwyn’s calm expression finally cracked.

As for Thoren, he was calm and casual as he placed the artifact on the table.

"This one is called the Mother-Child Void Mirror."

The three stared at it.

"Mother-Child Void Mirror?" Arwyn repeated the name slowly.

"Middle Silver Grade."

Silence.

Complete silence.

The three stared at Thoren with their jaws dropped.

A Middle Silver Grade Artifact.

If the Low Silver Grade Thousands Soul Registry had already shocked them, then this was something else entirely.

Thoren did not seem to notice their reaction. Or perhaps he simply did not care.

He continued explaining.

"The artifact has two mirrors."

"One is the Mother Mirror."

"The other is the Child Mirror."

He tapped the surface of the artifact.

"Once the two are properly bound together, the holder of the Child Mirror can communicate with the holder of the Mother Mirror across floors."

Alden’s pupils contracted.

"Across floors?"

"Yes."

The single word landed like thunder.

Alden’s breathing became noticeably heavier while Arwyn finally leaned forward with her lips trembling.

"You mean the second and third floors?"

"Or any other floors where the connected mirrors are located."

Thoren nodded.

The three were stunned for their brain to function properly.

Communication across floors was already astonishing enough, but Thoren was not finished.

"The mirror isn’t limited to communication."

He continued calmly.

"Objects can also be sent between the Mother and Child Mirrors."

"What?" Celene’s voice came out louder than intended.

Thoren glanced at her.

"Objects." He repeated.

"The Child Mirror can send an object to the Mother Mirror, and the Mother Mirror can send an object back."

Arwyn stared at the artifact as though she was looking at something completely impossible.

"But there must be a restriction."

"Of course." Thoren nodded. "Nothing is free."

He leaned back slightly. "The user must pay a price."

"Gold coins." Thoren paused. "Or beast parts."

Celene immediately understood. "So the cost depends on what you are sending?"

"Among other things." Thoren nodded.

"The price will depend on the feature being used and the object being transferred."

Alden’s eyes widened further. "So someone on another floor could send resources here without physically descending?"

"Yes."

"And someone on this floor could send something to another floor?"

"Yes."

The twins exchanged a stunned glance.

This was no longer simply a tool for Black Water.

This was something that could completely change how their organization operated.

Most importantly, Black Water would no longer be limited by the physical boundaries of the second floor.

Celene slowly leaned back in her chair, staring at Thoren.

The Thousands Soul Registry had shocked her.

The Ticket Artifact had made her realize that Thoren was serious about building Black Water.

But the Mother-Child Void Mirror made her understand something far more terrifying.

Thoren was not merely establishing a business.

He was laying the foundation for something that could eventually stretch across the entire Abyss.

With her even knowing, her mouth was wide open with no words coming out.

Alden’s hands were resting firmly on his knees, his fingers unconsciously tightening as the weight of the responsibility became even heavier.

Arwyn’s eyes remained fixed on the Middle Silver Grade Artifact, her mind racing as countless possibilities appeared inside her head.

And across from them, Thoren simply picked up his wine cup, and he took a slow sip.
