"Careful!"
Adam shouted and fiercely swung the Yellow Emperor’s Sword, sending a streak of sword qi slashing toward the beast.
The sword qi collided with the beast’s scales, letting out a deafening explosion. Countless sparks flew from the scales, but the demonic beast acted as if it felt no pain and continued charging right at them.
"What strong defense!"
Adam was startled, he hadn’t expected this beast’s defensive capabilities to be so formidable that his sword qi couldn’t even damage it.
"Young Master, let’s attack its eyes together!" Cecilia called out, at the same time, a sword appeared in her hand, and she thrust it directly toward the beast’s eyes.
Adam didn’t hesitate, his figure flashed, and he appeared at the beast’s side, slashing the Yellow Emperor’s Sword toward its eyes as well.
Two streaks of sword qi shot toward the beast’s eyes simultaneously at extreme speed.
The demonic beast let out an agonizing roar, its eyes were struck by both attacks at once, and blood instantly poured out like a fountain.
"Good opportunity!"
A sharp glint flashed in Adam’s eyes, his figure flickered, appearing right above the beast’s head, he ruthlessly swung the Yellow Emperor’s Sword downwards.
"Spring Breeze of Triumph!"
Adam unleashed his strongest sword stance, an even more ferocious wave of sword qi erupted from the Yellow Emperor’s Sword, cleaving directly into the top of the beast’s head.
The demonic beast bellowed in fury but could no longer dodge, it could only take Adam’s sword strike head-on.
The sword qi landed, splitting a massive gash open on the top of the beast’s head, blood gushed out like a geyser.
Even Cecilia couldn’t help but gasp, Adam’s single sword strike had actually managed to split such a powerful demonic beast open.
Adam, on the other hand, was slightly disappointed, to think his strongest sword stance only had this much of an effect.
"Young Master, you’re so strong!" Cecilia looked at Adam, her eyes filled with adoration.
Adam smiled faintly but didn’t say anything, he withdrew the Yellow Emperor’s Sword and looked at the beast that had collapsed to the ground.
This demonic beast possessed an incredibly vigorous life force, even though Adam had cleaved its head open, it still hadn’t died and was continuously thrashing and struggling.
Suddenly, a strange feeling washed over Adam, he looked at the beast on the ground, feeling that something was wrong, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was.
"Cecilia, let’s quickly finish off this beast and keep moving," Adam said calmly.
"Okay, Young Master!" The two quickly finished dealing with the beast and continued their journey.
In the time that followed, Adam and Cecilia encountered several more powerful demonic beasts, they were able to defeat them easily and harvest a large number of hunting points.
As time went on, however, the demonic beasts they encountered became increasingly powerful, the strength of some had even touched the peak of the Fifth Heaven of the Deity Realm.
But to Adam, this was still no difficult task, he was still able to easily slay these beasts and claim their points.
They continued forward, constantly defeating powerful beasts and racking up massive amounts of points, Adam’s score reached a terrifying four hundred points, Cecilia’s was slightly lower, sitting just over two hundred.
Since the number of low-realm beasts decreased significantly after entering the depths of the wilderness, Cecilia had fewer opportunities to strike.
"Young Master, we’ve already entered the depths of the hunting ground, but why are there only demonic beasts? Weren’t there supposed to be other demons, ghosts, and monsters?" Cecilia asked, feeling puzzled.
Adam furrowed his brow slightly, he also didn’t know why they hadn’t encountered any other creatures and had solely run into demonic beasts.
According to the Book Saint’s records, aside from demonic beasts, the Azure Cloud Field was supposed to contain ghosts, spirits, and a rare number of demons, yet up until now, they had only seen beasts and absolutely nothing else.
"Maybe we just haven’t gone deep enough yet, or perhaps we’re in a different region," Adam guessed.
"But we’ve already walked so far, if we go any deeper, we might encounter even stronger demonic beasts, maybe even ones at the Sixth Heaven of the Deity Realm!" Cecilia said with some concern.
Although she knew dealing with a Sixth Heaven beast wouldn’t be difficult for her Young Master, they were in an unfamiliar place, what if something unexpected happened?
"Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, nothing will happen to you," Adam reassured her, at the same time, he wanted to figure out exactly why this was happening, during this Heaven and Earth Upheaval, many of the secret realms and fortuitous encounters were differing drastically from the records of previous Upheavals.
"Young Master, I believe you." Cecilia immediately felt relieved and stopped worrying.
The two continued forward, venturing deeper into the hunting ground.
As time passed, the demonic beasts they encountered grew increasingly powerful, with some reaching the Sixth Heaven of the Deity Realm, however, Adam was still able to slay them effortlessly, gaining a massive amount of hunting points.
They didn’t run into many other participants along the way because the demonic beasts here were at least at the Fourth Heaven of the Deity Realm, already stronger than what most people could handle.
Halfway through, they did stumble upon Gabriel and Anthea, naturally, it was the former relentlessly pestering the latter.
The points floating above their heads were 352 for Gabriel and 337 for Anthea, both were pretty good scores.
If Adam decided to harvest them, his points would break through the thousand mark, but he wasn’t in a hurry, he’d let these fat sheep fatten up a bit more.
As for their life-and-death friendship? That was a bond they had with Adam, right now, his name was Noah, what did that have to do with him?
They ventured deeper, continuously defeating powerful demonic beasts and amassing hunting points.
The next day.
They encountered a demonic beast that left them absolutely shocked, the strength of this demonic beast had actually reached the Seventh Heaven of the Deity Realm.
This was the strongest they had encountered so far, and their first time seeing one at the Seventh Heaven.
"Young Master, this demonic beast is so powerful, what should we do?" Cecilia asked nervously.
