The news of Hades unsealing the Underworld spread throughout the surrounding region of the multiverse almost immediately.

The same drifters who had delivered Diablo’s Declaration of War to Hell’s allied universes also spread the information regarding the changes that had occurred within Olympus.

As neutral observers and information brokers, drifters had become the main source of knowledge for Rulers seeking to understand the rapidly changing situation.

After 30 years of the Underworld being sealed, the announcement that Hades had finally opened it once more caused many Rulers to believe that the pressure from the Olympians had finally forced him to yield.

From the perspective of outside observers, that conclusion seemed reasonable.

Hades had been responsible for one of the greatest internal crises Olympus had ever experienced, but he was also still one of Olympus’ Rulers.

With the war continuing and the damage caused by the sealed Underworld affecting the universe, many assumed that Zeus and the remaining Olympians had finally managed to convince him to completely reverse his decision.

However, the drifters did not stop there.

The second part of the information was released shortly afterwards, revealing to everyone that Hades had not completely abandoned his punishment.

He had agreed to unseal the Underworld under a condition.

Every four years, the Underworld would be opened for only two months.

The decision was not made through negotiation, authority, or any agreement between Hades and the other Olympians.

According to the information spread by the drifters, the interval had been determined through a simple roll of dice.

The reaction from the surrounding universes changed immediately.

Several Devil Rulers who heard the details found the situation amusing.

To them, the condition did not appear to be a compromise.

It appeared that Hades had found a method to continue punishing Olympus while still technically carrying out his duties as the King of the Underworld.

The fact that the two-month and four-year cycle had apparently been determined through a roll of dice made the entire situation appear even more absurd in their eyes.

Some of them considered it nothing more than Hades openly ridiculing the Twelve Olympians.

After everything that had occurred, after the deaths of several Main Entities and the destruction that had spread throughout Olympus, Hades had still managed to leave Zeus and the others with a problem that would continue resurfacing.

The information spread throughout the region, becoming another subject of discussion during a war that was already filled with unexpected developments.

For Zeus, however, the revelation was far less entertaining.

He was enraged when he learned that the details of Hades’ condition had spread, but there was nothing he could do about it because the information had not been stolen, nor had it been acquired through spying.

Hades himself had revealed the details of his agreement to the drifters, allowing them to spread the information just as they did with every other major event connected to the war.

The decision had already been made, and the entire region now knew that the sealing of the Underworld had not truly ended.

It had only become something that would return repeatedly for the foreseeable future of Olympus.

And just as everyone’s attention was focused on Hades’ condition for unsealing the Underworld, several major developments occurred beneath their notice.

Because everyone was focused on the primary battlefronts and the news that the Underworld would be unsealed, even if only temporarily, allowing Olympus to regain some level of internal stability and properly partake in the war, they realised too late that several vassal universes under the major universes of the Divine Alliance had been virtually decimated.

It began with several battlefields being completely destroyed. No devils, gods or other divines could be found anywhere.

There were not even corpses left behind, only destroyed spacecraft and warships scattered throughout the area.

Then, this destruction that had initially existed within the interstitial space between universes spread into several Secondary Universes.

Their seats of power were completely destroyed. Major galaxies within these universes were annihilated. Their Main Entities were slaughtered, their Masters were all killed, and the universes were left in chaos.

By the time the Divine Alliance finally noticed what had happened, it was already too late, as the devils had taken advantage of the openings created by the destruction of these universes and used them to surround some of their forces, causing them to suffer heavy losses.

While they were attempting to deal with those losses, in another section of the warfront, several secondary universes were once again decimated.

This time, it was not simply the rulers of the universes who had been killed. The universes themselves had suffered damage, with gigantic breaches torn into their cosmic energy barriers, creating massive openings that caused enormous amounts of ambient cosmic energy from outside the universes to pour inside, overloading the universes with cosmic energy and destabilising their working systems.

The sudden increase in cosmic energy concentration within these universes affected the space between galaxies, the space between planets within galaxies, and the ambient cosmic energy concentration on planets.

That concentration increased beyond the levels mortals could withstand, rising from the non-dangerous levels they were usually maintained at to levels where mortals could die simply by breathing.

Due to the deaths of the Main Entities governing these universes, their working processes had also become temporarily destabilised. The sentiences of those universes did not possess the capacity to properly manage this influx of cosmic energy while dealing with their already destabilised working systems, and even increasing the strength of the cosmic energy filters around galaxies and planets was not enough to completely reduce the damage.

Because of this, the Divine Alliance had to begin dispatching forces to heal the breaches in these universes so that they could properly function again and the lives of those within them would not be threatened.

However, the number of people with the necessary Authorities to perform actions such as healing and repairing the barriers of universes was limited. Those few individuals were spread across immense distances as more universes suffered damage in the same manner.

The situation became even worse when some of those few individuals working to repair damaged universes were attacked and killed, and the damage they had managed to repair was worsened.

The Divine Alliance naturally concluded that the Infernal Coalition was responsible for these events. However, some of the Masters of the universes within the Infernal Coalition all completely denied knowing the cause of this sudden destruction.

In fact, many of them did not take advantage of the situation to continue advancing into Divine Alliance territory, instead withdrawing their forces because they feared that whatever was responsible for the damage could eventually turn against them as well.

There were some within the Divine Alliance who believed this was nothing more than an act, but there were also others who used Unique Authorities of Fate and Destiny to confirm that those Masters truly had no knowledge of what was causing the sudden destruction.

The first clue the Divine Alliance obtained came when Main Entities from the universes at the forefront of the alliance began coming under attack.

The first to suffer damage was Poseidon.

He was leading Olympus’ forces alongside some of Asgard’s armies in an attempt to repel several of Jotunheim’s giants when the battlefield was suddenly attacked by a mysterious force.

The destruction primarily targeted the armies of Olympus and Asgard.

The only information they managed to obtain was that the attacker wielded the power of the Law of Destruction.

They could not even see the attacker’s figure, as the being was surrounded by a swirling vortex of destructive law energy that destroyed anything that approached with violently rotating law energy.

The next to fall were several Greater Daedra of Oblivion, followed by some of Erin’s Great Knights, and then several high-ranking gods of Romersk also died at the hands of this mysterious assailant.

These attacks caused everyone to forget about the matter of Hades and the unsealing of the Underworld.

Over the following few years, the Divine Alliance suffered major losses to this mysterious assailant, an enemy they were unable to locate or identify.

The Divine Alliance also could not dedicate all of their resources to dealing with this mysterious assailant, as the Infernal Coalition’s forces continued to pose a major threat across the warfront.

Weapons and powers that many of these universes had kept sealed away and classified as ’forbidden’ began appearing throughout the conflict, and more universes joined the list of those that had been permanently damaged.

At this point, the war had stopped being about the death of the Progenitor godslayer and had become a conflict centred around survival and pride.

The fighting was reaching its peak, and eventually, the god Kings of the major universes involved in the war had no choice but to personally enter the battlefield.

Zeus, Odin, Alkosh, Lugh, Jupiter, and Ra.

The moment they moved, the Giant Kings, Demon Kings, Devil Kings, and Fallen Angel Lords moved as well.

The Fire Giant King Surtr and the Frost Giant Kings Harmarti and Utgard-Loki combined their forces to launch an invasion into Asgard that Odin had to personally step up alongside Thor and Tyr, Asgard’s god of War, to repel.

In Egito, the Ancient Serpent of Chaos, Apophis, awakened and began devouring its way through the universe toward Ra’s throne, attempting to extinguish the light of the Sun god.

The giants of Olympus and the gigantes of Romersk also combined their forces, and during one of these battles, the mysterious assailant, surrounded by a vortex of destruction, appeared once more.

They barrelled straight through the Olympian forces, tearing apart a path through thousands of gods with the vortex of destructive energy swirling around them, even forcing back two Main Entities of Romersk, Mars, and Minerva.

While everyone was stunned by the presence and power possessed by this mysterious assailant, Zeus alone trembled with rage that he could not suppress.

Before Jupiter could even suggest a plan of action, Zeus launched himself from his command warship and shot across the battlefield as a bolt of lightning tearing through space faster than light.

His divinity erupted outward, divine lightning crackling across the battlefield as Astrape appeared in his hands, and he roared with fury.

Zeus’ thunderous voice echoed across the inter-universal battlefield as he swung Astrape with all his power, releasing a sweeping strike of lightning that collided with the vortex of destruction.

And for the first time since the mysterious assailant had appeared, the vortex was cleaved apart.

Zeus’ divine lightning tore through the fabric of space, shredding the destructive vortex surrounding the assailant.

However, before the vortex could be completely destroyed, the being within it detonated the destructive energy in a massive explosion that created a gigantic hole at the centre of the battlefield.

From within the centre of that explosion, a streak of crimson light shot through space directly toward Zeus.

Even though the explosion had sent him flying backwards, Zeus suffered nothing more than a few scratches and was still fast enough to raise Astrape once more, swinging his weapon to block the aether-coated sword descending toward him.

The impact of the clash sent Zeus’ blue divine lightning and the crimson destructive aether crackling outward like lightning across space.

The aftershocks of their collision wounded any deities caught within the area, with only the Main Entities present being capable of protecting themselves enough to get close.

Jupiter shot towards the centre of the power burst as fast as he could, and when he got close enough, his eyes widened as he saw the true appearance of the mysterious assailant who had caused the Divine Alliance untold damage over the past few years.

"That’s right, she was there too!" he muttered, realisation dawning upon him.

The beginning of this war had been the death of the Progenitor godslayer at Zeus’ hands.

Hades’ actions, born from his rage toward Zeus for killing his son, had drawn everyone’s attention.

After all, he had killed several Main Entities from his own universe, sealed the Underworld, and caused Olympus to suffer severe setbacks during the war.

However, the Progenitor godslayer had two parents. A father and a mother.

While everyone knew what the father had been doing, not a single word had been heard about the mother throughout the nearly 40 years of war.

And now, as a fully realised Monarch Realm Existence wielding the Master Authorities of several universes, the famed Archdevil of Destruction, Cattleya Vaughn, had returned for her vengeance.
