Gorgeous Female Tenants

Chapter 684: I Bought This Cat

Zhao Yuanji was about to come up with another excuse when Xu Xiangbei suddenly pressed his celestial pool acupoint lightly.

Zhao Yuanji felt as if he were enduring Hell’s torment, his entire body itching and in pain. He scratched all over without knowing where the itch came from, increasing the sensation until it was like being roasted over a fire. Sweat poured off him as he knelt before Xu Xiangbei, wailing continuously.

"Big brother, I’m begging you, begging you, have mercy on me! I’ll immediately wire you a million, kowtow, crawl between your legs—anything, as long as you spare me!" Zhao Yuanji pleaded, tears and snot streaming, clutching at Xu Xiangbei’s pants, utterly pathetic in his despair.

Seeing his tactic succeed, Xu Xiangbei extended a finger, giving Zhao a light tap.

Immediately, Zhao’s complexion turned ashen and he went limp, relief washing over him. Only by truly experiencing Hell would one understand its horror.

"Hurry up!" Xu Xiangbei said, impatiently, unwilling to waste time on spoiled second-generation rich kids. A single blow to take them down, forcing submission—a method he’d found effective.

Zhao Yuanji heeded this fiercely, his face paling further. He instantly fell to his knees, knocking out three loud kowtows before scrambling through Xu Xiangbei’s legs.

"Big brother, are you satisfied with this?" He grinned obsequiously.

"Am I your big brother? Call me father, then there’s the money?"

"Okay, father, I’ll transfer it right away!" Zhao Yuanji’s expression was as sour as if he’d swallowed dog feces, ugly beyond measure. Yet, in a flash, he adopted a fawning smile as he quickly fished out his phone, transferring a million to Xu Xiangbei’s account.

"Father, may I leave now?" Zhao Yuanji asked cautiously, dreading another round of hellish punishment from Xu Xiangbei, determined to avoid repeating his former agony.

"Scram, but remember, harass Elder Zhang Yide again, and I’ll make you suffer like that every day!"

"Alright, alright!" Zhao Yuanji fled, feeling pardoned, his bodyguards trailing limping behind him.

"Young man, thank you!" Elder Zhang regained his composure, sincerely expressing gratitude before inviting Xu Xiangbei’s group to his home for tea and a meal, which Xu Xiangbei declined politely.

The two exchanged pleasantries, leaving their contact details. Xu Xiangbei ensured Elder Zhang was hearty and unharmed before taking his leave.

The Gu sisters expressed a desire to see animals, so Xu Xiangbei’s party headed to the largest zoo in Mandarin Duck Lake Scenic Area—Supreme Zoo. They heard it housed many first-class national protected species like slow lorises, giant pandas, white-lipped deer, bison, and some rare creatures, with entrance tickets priced at 200 yuan.

The group entered joyfully, snapping photos and immersing in the ambiance, especially sisters Gu Xinyan, as well as Xiao Qiulian and her daughter. Being female, they loved capturing moments with cute and playful animals like cats and dogs; these animals, specially bred, were gentle, with no inclination to attack, and exceptionally likable.

Numerous women were photographing these small animals.

Among them stood a woman, elegantly made-up, draped in a white wool shawl, wearing a blue-purple open dress and a small jacket, accessorized with gold earrings, her hair styled high with a gold hairpin, carrying a white genuine leather bag from Nai Xianger on her wrist.

She had an alluring face, her outfit accentuating her figure! Her attire exuded an affluent aura—known for striking beauty, yet still inferior in looks to the Gu sisters or Xiao Ailing. Even in demeanor, she fell leagues behind, even compared to Xiao Qiulian. Her name was Zhang Yingying, a former internet star now backed by a wealthy patron, flaunting her aristocratic air.

Beside her stood a middle-aged man, around forty to fifty, slightly potbellied, chubby-faced. He wore a suit, tie, and genuine leather shoes, embodying a big boss style. He was Li Changhong, chairman of a publicly traded restaurant group, achieving modest success, worth billions.

He held Zhang Yingying’s hand, feigning deep affection while proudly smirking; yet, upon seeing the Gu sisters, his face fell in desire before quickly composing himself.

Zhang Yingying noticed the Gu sisters and Xiao Qiulian, her expression turning deeply jealous, giving Li Changhong a fierce pinch on his shoulder.

Xu Xiangbei observed all these dynamics, though unfazed, gently chuckling to himself. Such nuisances were endless; as long as they didn’t trouble him, why care? After all, admiration for beauty is universal. The Gu sisters’ allure could captivate any man, truly compelling, though one might only secretly admire them; Xu Xiangbei couldn’t stop that.

As long as they didn’t extend foul play, Xu Xiangbei remained indifferent, seeing their allure as proof of his discerning taste.

"This cat is so adorable; let’s take a photo!" The ladies beside Xu Xiangbei clustered around a cat, taking turns stroking its fur.

It was exceptionally well-behaved, a Himalayan cat with stout though short limbs and a short, compact body. It had round cheeks and a small chin, a petite short nose and ears, gray-tinged white fur, remarkably smooth—the touch was delightful. Its large, round eyes blinked enchantingly, irresistibly endearing, inviting people to embrace it lovingly.

Gu Xinyan instantly adored it, holding it tightly, continuously stroking its smooth fur.

"Let me hold it too!"

As Gu Xiangyi was about to collect the cute kitty from her sister’s hands, Zhang Yingying suddenly snatched it away, clutching it in her arms.

She evidently hurt the kitty, its sensitive voice protesting, yet it stayed still, inherently gentle and non-aggressive, only retaliating under dire mortal threat.

"What are you doing?" Gu Xiangyi was infuriated by Zhang’s coarse act, raising her eyebrows, refraining from any inappropriate outburst.

"I’ve got my eye on this cat and intend to buy it; why let you hold it!" Zhang Yingying retorted unceremoniously while continuing to stroke the kitty in her arms, though the cat seemed to dislike her, blocking her hand with its paw.

"Little beast! Resisting my touch, aren’t you? Mind you, I might just buy you and have you for cat meat today!" Zhang Yingying’s discomfort in being pawed fuelled her anger, delivering a slap to the kitty.

"Meow, meow!" The Himalayan cat evidently felt the pain, yet dare not express its displeasure, huddling fearfully in her embrace, akin to an injured child, pitifully trembling—a sight that filled those around with pity, especially the furious Gu sisters.

"This cat hasn’t been sold yet, meaning anyone can hold it—why consider it your property? Hand it over! Sentinel fairness dictates who saw it first!" Gu Xiangyi protested fiercely, her retail experience making each point poignant.

"Cat seller!" Zhang Yingying, furious and embarrassed, shouted vehemently.

"Hey, what’s going on, miss? How can I help you?" Hearing this commotion, a man approached, his attire plain, around 35 years old, his complexion slightly sallow, his stature not tall. His name was Wang Shitong, responsible for cat feeding here, also handling the cat sales. The adorable kitties were raised by him for sale, available to anyone interested.

"I’ve got my eye on this cat; name your price!" Zhang Yingying, unwilling to dilly-dally, roughly handled the cat, venting all her frustration onto this adorable little creature.

"You have good taste, miss. This is one of the finest cats here—the Himalayan, a blend of Persian and Manx traits, combining the best qualities of both, gentle, elegant, and intelligent—befitting your aura..."

Wang Shitong blathered enthusiastically; it was rare to seize such a business opportunity, especially with Zhang Yingying appearing affluent. He surely wouldn’t forego this chance to fleece her generously.
