Gorgeous Female Tenants

Chapter 695: The Legendary Celestial Melody

Entering the KTV, the main purpose is to relax, and singing is unavoidable. In this atmosphere and environment, at first, everyone might still feel a bit reserved, but Xu Xiangbei took the lead.

He started by grabbing the microphone and singing a song called "A Man of Determination," in Cantonese. His voice was of excellent quality, with a sense of maturity and a special vibe. Although there was some difference from the original, it was quite good. Even though the people beside him were all women, they could feel the excitement.

"Brother Xu, you sing really well!" Gu Xinyan clapped on the side, showing a look of encouragement.

"Not bad!" Gu Xiangyi reluctantly praised.

"Mr. Xu sings really well!" Xiao Qiulian also complimented from the side.

"Just average, third in the world. If I didn’t avoid a career in entertainment, those singing gods wouldn’t stand a chance!" Xu Xiangbei sighed with an air of "Lao Zi is number one," making the people beside him want to vomit.

"Alright, it’s your turn, at least one song each, no one can escape. How about this? Let’s do rock-paper-scissors, the loser drinks then sings!" Xu Xiangbei wanted to hear them sing and get them drunk to take some advantage.

"Sure, sure!" Xiao Ai thought it was interesting and clapped in agreement.

The Gu Family sisters, especially Gu Xiangyi, had no choice but to agree. When playing rock-paper-scissors, she lost. She immediately put on her CEO demeanor, drank the wine, and sang a song. Her voice wasn’t very pleasant but had a cold feel, better than most, though far from the singers’. Despite her beauty and prominent aura, no one in this world is perfect.

"This song is not good, is it disappointing?" Gu Xiangyi was very candid and admitted it without any fear or shame.

"It’s pretty good, better than many. Because of your imperfections, it highlights your beauty. You’re so pretty, like an angel, and a big company’s CEO, full of wisdom, beauty, and talent. If your voice were also angelic, how could others even live?" Xu Xiangbei found it genuine and relatable.

"Right, I remember a saying like your flaw is being too perfect. If Sister Xiangyi’s voice were very good, I’d have no way to live!" Xiao Ai surprisingly agreed with Xu Xiangbei, exclaiming from the side.

"Alright, let’s continue. We’re here to have fun today!" Xu Xiangbei didn’t want to dwell on this and was eager to hear Gu Xinyan sing.

Things didn’t go as planned; the next loser was Xiao Qiulian. She had experience with this, having worked in such a field out of necessity. She gracefully drank, then took the microphone to sing. Her voice was elegant and captivating, quiet and distant, drawing everyone into a trance. When she started, her voice filled the room, and everyone held their breath.

After her song, everyone spontaneously clapped, and a round of compliments followed. They continued the game, and the next loser turned out to be Gu Xinyan. She drank little, just a small sip, then began to sing. Her voice was no worse than those female singers in TV shows and movies, perhaps even better, carrying an ethereal vibe, like a white bird’s call, demanding appreciation and not desecration. With training, she could definitely release an album.

"Sister Xinyan, your voice is amazing. You’re now acting in films and TV shows. Why not transition to a singer or both, release an album? It’d draw huge crowds. A concert would be packed, making you a superstar!" Xiao Ai’s eyes sparkled with admiration, sharing her imagination.

"No way!" Gu Xinyan blushed at the praise, humbly responding.

"Of course, it’s perfect—devilish body, angelic face, heavenly voice. My fairy wife, are you trying to make others unable to live?" Xu Xiangbei jested nonstop by her side.

He was about to say more when Gu Xinyan shot him a fierce glare, stopping him.

The next loser was Xiao Ai. She took a tiny sip of red wine before taking the mic to sing, with a shy and slightly nervous demeanor. Fortunately, Xu Xiangbei kept cheering her on; otherwise, she would have given up.

Without opening her mouth, it was fine. Once she started, the whole room seemed to stop breathing—the birth of tomorrow’s superstar! Xiao Ai’s voice was sweet and ethereal, far superior to many TV singers. She conveyed a youthful vibe through her singing, drawing everyone in, as if returning to nature, with birds and flowers, butterflies dancing, and a post-rain spring atmosphere. They seemed to hear the splashing of spring water—a voice only found in heaven, rarely heard on earth.

Putting down the microphone, it seemed a long time passed before Xu Xiangbei and the others awoke from their trance, applauding thunderously. Xiao Qiulian’s eyes watered with excitement and joy.

"Was I that good?" Xiao Ai’s face reddened, shyly surprised, fearing she hadn’t sounded good.

"You have the best singing voice I’ve ever heard, absolutely. Even better than an angel’s!" Xu Xiangbei lavishly praised her, clapping nonstop.

"Right, who knew Xiao Ai could sing so well?" The Gu sisters looked shocked, as if discovering a new world.

"How come I never noticed before?" Xu Xiangbei wondered.

"I haven’t sung much before, let alone in KTV. The acoustics here are just too good, though I’m not great at all!" Xiao Ai humbly explained, face reddening, finding her explanation more confusing.

"Silly, a person’s voice when speaking and singing is different, and others hear it differently from herself!" Gu Xiangyi knew quite a bit about these things.

"Xiao Ai, don’t bother acting. Just become a singer. I’ll support you. In time, send you to music school, learn basics, get a teacher to write songs, release an album. You’d be a hit, becoming a top star!" Xu Xiangbei decided, envisioning a future diva before him.

"You need her consent to promote, and Xiao Ai, do you like acting or singing more?" Gu Xinyan gently questioned. Xiao Qiulian didn’t speak, eyes filled with excitement, as every parent would love their daughter to be a star envied by millions.

"Oh, sorry, I got carried away!" Xu Xiangbei sheepishly admitted but quickly recovered, having a thick skin.

"I just want to be a star; if singing works, I’d like to pursue it!" Xiao Ai paused, shyly expressing her aspiration.

"No problem, leave it to me. You’ll be a future star!" Xu confidently vowed, knowing Xiao Ai wasn’t just a great singer but also had stunning looks—rare in entertainment. Even if her singing weren’t incredible, she’d thrive in this looks-driven era.

They played dice and drank, leaving the singing mainly to Xiao Ai. She grew to love the feeling, gaining confidence from others’ praise and recognition. Secretly, she vowed to create her own music, becoming a star.

Xu Xiangbei was happy and wanted to drink, but the Gu sisters stopped him, saying he needed to drive and couldn’t drink. He didn’t touch the expensive ’82 Lafite, watching others finish it.

Inwardly suffering, he found it worth it—seeing the beautiful, tipsy women with flushed cheeks was a sight not often seen in a century. If they got drunk, he’d have to send them home, perhaps lending them support and enjoying a bit of physical touch. Xu Xiangbei felt secretly delighted.
