“Suna, take the helm. Just keep sailing forward.”
Yang Yi withdrew his gaze and quickly made his decision.
“But the entire sea is filled with this activated black mist. The ship’s speed simply can’t increase.”
Suna replied. The situation was exactly as she described. Under these conditions, the Nightmare Star’s speed had already been reduced by at least seventy percent, and it would continue to slow down the longer they remained inside the mist.

From within the black mist, a massive palm nearly five meters across reached toward Suna—or rather, toward the Light Container hanging at her waist.
“Keep moving forward. Ignore it. Full speed ahead!” Yang Yi shouted.
He ordered Suna to disregard the approaching hand and continue pushing the ship forward.
At the same time, he twisted open the Light Container and replaced the Light Fairy fragment with the Rat King's head mounted on the Execution Rack.

They shattered into countless fragments, dissolved into black mist, and finally dispersed completely.
The Nightmare Star instantly broke free.
The several-meter-high black mist surrounding the ship vanished like snow beneath the blazing sun. Even the sea within several meters of the Nightmare Star became visible once more.
With both the black mist and the giants gone, the Nightmare Star surged forward like an arrow released from a bow, its speed climbing rapidly.

It accelerated to an astonishing seventy knots, its absolute top speed.
Suna, however, was in no condition to celebrate.
Because she had consumed the Fluorescent Eyeball Potion, the brilliant light became unbearably blinding. She could only shut her eyes tightly while continuing to steer the ship.
Fortunately, there were no obstacles ahead.
The black mist, along with the shadow giants, melted away beneath the light shining from above the Nightmare Star.
“I’ll take over,” Yang Yi said beside Suna's ear.
He climbed down from above and draped his captain's coat over her head, greatly reducing the harsh glare.
“These creatures are drawn to holy light,” he said as he took the helm and glanced behind the ship. “Until we've completely shaken them off, it's best not to use the Light Container again.”
The pursuing giants were left behind by the Nightmare Star, but they still refused to give up.
Their massive bodies dissolved into thick, viscous black mist that continued surging after the ship.
Fortunately, they were not particularly fast, less than forty knots, according to Yang Yi’s estimation. At the Nightmare Star’s current speed, leaving them behind was more than enough.
