"Ice Soul!"

Hearing Gu Sewei’s cry of alarm, Li Wei asked curiously, "What’s that?"

Gu Sewei said, "An Ice Soul is an extremely rare type of Ice Elf."

A look of desire appeared in her eyes, and she whispered, "If only we could catch an Ice Soul."

"For an Ice Mage, an Ice Soul is the best material for increasing one’s power."

Li Wei gave her a slightly puzzled look and said, "Aren’t you part of the Ice Queen’s faction? Aren’t you afraid of offending the Ice Queen by carelessly harming an Ice Elf?"

Gu Sewei explained, "Ice Souls are special, different from ordinary Ice Elves. Even Her Majesty the Queen can’t command them."

"Rare Ice Souls only form in the most frigid regions, and the Extreme Cold Abyss happens to meet that condition."

"Compared to Ice Elves, Ice Souls have much weaker consciousness. They’re more like a product of a natural disaster."

Li Wei more or less understood what Gu Sewei meant.

He looked outside at the Ice Souls still relentlessly attacking the Frozen Coffin.

Li Wei said, "The Ice Souls’ Flying speed is astonishing, and their Attack Power is also very strong. It would be very difficult to catch one."

Gu Sewei nodded and said, "That’s why I only said it. I never thought about actually catching an Ice Soul."

"If Her Majesty the Queen were here, there might be a chance to catch an Ice Soul. We’ll be lucky just to survive their assault."

Li Wei smiled faintly and said, "Actually, it’s not entirely impossible."

Gu Sewei’s eyes lit up. She looked at Li Wei and asked, "What’s your idea?"

The two were currently trapped inside the Frozen Coffin, besieged by a swarm of Ice Souls.

For the moment, they had no way to escape their predicament.

Even though Li Wei was in a hurry to get to the Time Secret Realm, there was nothing he could do.

That being the case, they might as well try to deal with their current assailants.

Li Wei said, "Catch them with a net."

Upon hearing this, Gu Sewei froze, not understanding what Li Wei meant.

Even if he had a net that could withstand a Tier Five attack, it would probably be frozen to bits the moment he took it out in the Extreme Cold Abyss.

It was simply impossible to catch an Ice Soul.

Li Wei looked at Gu Sewei and said, "Open the Frozen Coffin just a tiny crack."

Gu Sewei shook her head. "I can’t."

Li Wei reached out and touched the Frozen Coffin, feeling a strong vibration coming from it.

It was the vibration caused by the Ice Souls slamming into the Frozen Coffin at high speed.

Li Wei said, "If I drill a small hole, it won’t break the Frozen Coffin, right?"

Gu Sewei frowned. "No. The Frozen Coffin is the Tier Six Ice Magic with the strongest Defense Power. It’s impossible for you to destroy it."

The corner of Li Wei’s mouth curled up. "I wouldn’t be so sure."

His eyes narrowed as he focused, and a wisp of Purple Flame appeared at his fingertip.

The Purple Flame drew near the Frozen Coffin.

The Frozen Coffin, hailed as the strongest Tier Six Ice Element Defense Magic, began to show signs of melting under the heat of the Purple Flame.

Li Wei controlled the melting area, using the Purple Flame to burn through the Frozen Coffin, leaving a pinhole-sized opening.

A frigid wind blew through the hole into the Frozen Coffin. Gu Sewei’s face was a mask of shock.

"How did you do that?"

"What is that Purple Flame?"

She had never seen purple flames before.

Li Wei didn’t answer her questions; it would have been difficult to explain in just a few words.

He placed his hand over the hole in the Frozen Coffin, and his Mana flowed out through the pinhole-sized opening.

Under the effect of his Object Control Skill, the Mana formed a net outside the Frozen Coffin.

Under Li Wei’s powerful control, the Mana net was layered repeatedly, becoming tougher and denser.

PFFT!

An Ice Soul instantly pierced through Li Wei’s Mana net.

The Mana net couldn’t block the Ice Soul at all.

Li Wei didn’t give up. He repaired the pierced net while simultaneously constructing more nets.

PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!

The nets were torn to shreds again and again.

Gu Sewei, watching from the side, couldn’t bear it any longer. She advised, "Stop trying. You’re just wasting Mana."

"Wait a while until the Ice Souls stop attacking, then we can take the opportunity to leave."

Li Wei raised his index finger to his lips. "Shh, don’t talk."

He stared intently into the darkness ahead.

Seeing his serious expression, Gu Sewei thought a new monster had appeared and quickly turned to look.

Suddenly, an Ice Soul shot over from that direction.

A look of disappointment crossed Gu Sewei’s face.

The next second, her expression turned to one of shock.

THWUMP!

The Ice Soul pierced through several layers of the net before finally being caught, stopping in front of the Frozen Coffin.

PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!

The surrounding Ice Souls still tore through the Mana net with ease and flew away, just as before.

Gu Sewei stared at the Ice Soul Li Wei had caught, her expression one of utter confusion.

"Why were you able to catch that one?"

She glanced around. All the other Ice Souls could easily pierce the Mana net.

’Is this particular Ice Soul special?’

Li Wei said with a smile, "It already broke through my Mana net thirty-eight times. Its speed has dropped to the point where the net can finally catch it."

Hearing this, Gu Sewei’s face showed sudden understanding. "So that’s how it is."

She finally understood why Li Wei had been so persistent in repairing the broken nets.

It turned out he had been using the nets to weaken the Ice Soul’s Flying speed all along.

Once its Flying speed had dropped to a certain level, the Ice Soul could no longer break through the Mana net and was naturally caught by Li Wei.

But this was incredibly difficult.

According to Li Wei, he had failed a full thirty-eight times just to succeed once.

After verifying that his idea was feasible, Li Wei’s spirits lifted.

He glanced at the Ice Soul trapped in the net, vibrating unceasingly against the surface of the Frozen Coffin, unable to escape, and a smile appeared on his face.

"Good. Let’s catch a few more like this."

Gu Sewei quietly watched from the side as Li Wei repeated the process of mending the Mana net over and over.

She suddenly realized just how astonishing Li Wei’s Mana Control was.

Besides his incredibly powerful Mana Control, there was also his astounding willpower.

An ordinary person would have probably given up after failing just a few times.

But Li Wei could endure failure after failure until he finally succeeded.

Gu Sewei stared at Li Wei’s profile, a bit dazed, lost in her own thoughts.

An unknown amount of time passed before the surrounding Ice Souls finally stopped their assault.

Li Wei also let out a sigh of relief. He lowered his right hand from the Frozen Coffin, rolled his shoulder, and turned to look at Gu Sewei.

"Alright, we can go out now."

Gu Sewei nodded and said, "Okay."

The Frozen Coffin dissipated, and the two of them stood in the empty darkness.

With a wave of his hand, Li Wei summoned the six Ice Souls caught in the Mana nets, and they flew into his grasp.

Gu Sewei looked at the Ice Souls in his hand. Although she desired them greatly, she didn’t say a word.

She knew how much effort Li Wei had expended to obtain these Ice Souls.

They weren’t something she could ask for with just a few simple words.

Li Wei put away the Ice Souls and looked at Gu Sewei. "I’ll hold onto these Ice Souls for now. We can divide them once we reach a safe place."

Hearing this, Gu Sewei froze for a moment. When she came to her senses, she asked in surprise, "Why would you share them with me? You worked so hard to catch all of them."

Li Wei chuckled. "Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to catch these Ice Souls either."
