"Forest Elf, why are you with a human?" the other demanded of Laya.

Laya quickly produced her Lord’s Token and explained the situation.

Upon seeing the Lord’s Token in her hand and learning that the Elf King had summoned Li Wei, the two green-haired Elves couldn’t help but look envious.

They also wished they could go to the Elf Imperial Court and see the Elf King.

Although Oak Forest Territory was already quite close to the Elf Imperial Court, their duty was to protect the inner sanctums of the Elf Forest, so they couldn’t leave their posts.

The green-haired Elf had the Tree-man Guards return to their positions.

One by one, the massive Tree-men sat down and rooted themselves back into the earth, once again becoming indistinguishable from the other large trees.

The green-haired Elf returned the Lord’s Token to Laya. "Since you’re heading to the Elf Imperial Court, please follow us."

"There’s a cave here that leads to the Elf Imperial Court."

’No wonder the security here is so tight,’ Laya realized. ’We must have accidentally stumbled onto a shortcut.’

Without this cave, they would have had to cross two more Elf territories to reach the Elf Imperial Court.

Laya put the Lord’s Token away safely, nodded, and said, "Thank you. We appreciate your help."

"Don’t mention it. It’s our duty."

The green-haired Elf led Li Wei and Laya into the cave.

At the cave’s entrance, Li Wei sensed many powerful presences.

Once inside, he sensed many more powerful presences within.

Anyone who trespassed here would likely face a dozen or more Tier Six Guardians.

The green-haired Elf led them a short way before stopping.

He pointed ahead. "Just keep following the cave. The exit isn’t far from the Elf Imperial Court."

"Once you leave the cave, you’ll be able to see the Imperial Court."

"Alright, thank you."

Laya thanked him again.

The pair continued along the path. The cave was not dark, as it was lit by strange, glowing plants growing within.
