The second path of advancement was to burn and sacrifice "Objects of Faith."

By burning Objects of Faith, one could strengthen their Divine Fire. Once the Divine Fire was strong enough, one could then condense a Divine Format and Divine Power, ascend to a Divine Position, and become a true Divine Spirit.

However, this process required a massive amount of Objects of Faith for the Divine Fire to sublimate to the point where it could condense a Divine Format and Divine Power.

Unfortunately, a Demigod who had just ignited their Divine Fire was incapable of collecting Objects of Faith.

They could only rely on true Divine Spirits to obtain Objects of Faith.

Only Divine Spirits could create Objects of Faith.

This forced all Demigod Level Powerhouses to make a choice: either walk the perilous path to godhood by burning away their entire being—a path with only a slim chance of survival—or pledge allegiance to a Divine Spirit, offering their faith in exchange for Objects of Faith.
