Yasmin had finally found Mora, who was heavily injured after enduring the full might of the ogre. However, before she and the bimbo succubus could even think about returning to the others, a pack of hunting wolves appeared.

The beasts surrounded the two girls in an instant, leaving them with no route of escape.

Of course, Yasmin could still disappear thanks to her unique abilities, but she couldn’t bring herself to abandon Mora.

To make matters worse, Mora was far too injured to fight. That was why she suggested Yasmin run away, so that at least one of them would survive.

"No, I won’t accept that!" Yasmin shouted, her determination startling Mora.

"Why?" Mora asked, blinking in confusion. Her eyes held the resolve of someone who had always been prepared to die for her king. "We barely know each other anyway. Even if you leave me behind... what’s the problem?"

Mora was right.

Yasmin hadn’t known her for long. She had only evolved a few days earlier, and she still wasn’t sure what kind of person she wanted to become. She couldn’t even control her own powers as well as the others could.

So why was she being so stubborn?

"Because I don’t want to lose. I don’t want to run away..." she clenched her fists as her body flickered between visible and invisible. "I don’t want to lose any of you to this damned forest."

Her voice trembled as her body began to flicker between invisibility and visibility. Mana began surging around her body.

"And... I don’t want to be useless."

She knew her abilities were best suited for hiding, waiting patiently, and striking from the shadows. She wasn’t like Shin, Mora, or even Medea, who could charge into battle head-on.

Still...

Always watching from the sidelines was unbearable. She hated feeling powerless and only observing everything from afar, as an untouchable observer.

Yasmin tried to stay positive and happy. However, she hated not being able to control her own body.

It was frustrating not having full control. She couldn’t touch Shin whenever she wanted; she probably couldn’t even have sex with him properly yet.

And more than anything, she hated that even now, all she could think about was running away.

"No..." she whispered.

Mana surged violently through her body as her resolve solidified.

"We all evolved to become elite warriors. What kind of warrior is only good at hiding and running away?"

One of the wolves lunged. Yasmin met its claws with a dagger, sparks flying from the impact.

Before the beast could react, she vanished. The wolf snapped at empty air, confused that its prey had just disappeared. The rest of the pack watched carefully, unsettled by what they had just seen.

Then Yasmin reappeared directly above the beast.

Her left hand buried itself in the thick fur along its neck, using the charging wolf’s own momentum to pull herself onto its back.

Before it could shake her loose, her right hand drove the dagger deep into the side of its throat. The blade bit through flesh, drawing a spray of dark blood, though it failed to reach deep enough to kill the monster outright.

The wolf let out a furious snarl and twisted violently, bucking and throwing itself against nearby trees, desperate to crush the invisible assassin clinging to its back.

However, Yasmin could keep only her hand solid when needed, evading any damage. The only problem was that once materialized, Yasmin couldn’t apply force with her arm.

Still, Yasmin used the few intervals she had to grab tightly onto the beast’s fur and slide the dagger up its throat, opening a massive wound.

Finally, the wolf stopped moving. Its strength drained as blood poured from the wound. The enormous beast collapsed onto the forest floor with a heavy thud, its breathing growing weaker until silence claimed it at last.

The rest of the pack hesitated, shocked by what they had seen. Still, soon the leader roared, and the wolves decided to attack.

However, something about Yasmin had changed.

Her body flickered in a way that made it impossible to identify. The adrenaline and emotion of the situation had helped her evolve quickly.

The first beast that tried to attack her failed completely, passing straight through her body. Yet multiple wounds appeared all over the creature.

"Finally, I understand..." Yasmin smiled maniacally, her eyes bright with revelation.

For a long time, she had wondered what she was, or if her body was even real, but now she fully understood the answer.

"I’m sorry, angry dog," she purred, beheading one of the wolves, "but you can’t touch me..."

The beasts flickered with fear and seemed ready to run away. The monsters had no reason to engage in a fight they would lose.

"Oh! Leaving already? Are you sure you don’t want me?" For some reason, Yasmin’s voice sounded infinitely sweet.

Her body continued to sway like mist, its form impossible to pinpoint. Still, it was impossible to look away.

The wolves desired nothing more than to devour her, so they lunged forward, trying to bite her. However, the result was the same: their attacks passed right through. They could feel Yasmin’s sharp blade and see her mysterious form, but they couldn’t touch her; she had become completely untouchable.

But this only made her more desirable.

This was one of the greatest traps in the world: few things are more desired than that which cannot be obtained.

"You can’t resist me, poor monsters," Yasmin commented as she killed two more.

Yet the wolves did not run away; they couldn’t resist the attraction.

"Really, there is no woman more attractive than me," she said, dancing like mist. More heads fell to the ground.

This was her most powerful skill: Untouchable.

Succubi were sex demons born from desire. The higher the level of a succubus, the more attuned she became to one of the many desires in a person’s heart. Yasmin represented the desire for something one cannot have.

"I’m done," Yasmin whispered, turning back to Mora. "Can you walk, or do you need my help? Let’s go back."
