The interior of the secure medical pavilion, erected hastily within the secured perimeter of the imperial encampment, was suffused with the sharp, astringent scent of medicinal herbs and burning incense. The thick, profound-silk walls of the tent glowed faintly with the golden light of internal warming arrays, casting long, dancing shadows across the polished wooden floorboards.

Alaric stood calmly beside a sturdy, low-set massage table, his hands thoroughly coated in a rich, amber-colored spirit oil. He wore his simple, unassuming gray scholar’s robes, projecting the flawless aura of a dedicated, harmless physician.

Seated upon the edge of the table was Noble Consort Cui Yulan.

She had divested herself of her heavy, violet profound-steel armor, leaving it meticulously stacked in the corner of the pavilion. Currently, she wore only a set of sleek, form-fitting black martial training silks. The fabric was practical and unadorned, yet it completely failed to hide the breathtaking, athletic voluptuousness of her figure. Her waist was narrow and incredibly toned, flaring out into wide, powerful hips and thick, muscular thighs that spoke of decades of relentless physical conditioning. Her large, firm breasts pushed proudly against the dark silk, their heavy volume undeniable even beneath the conservative cut of the garment.

Alaric’s ruby eyes swept over her body, drinking in her mature, battle-hardened beauty. He could sense the terrifying, suppressed power radiating from her very pores. He knew that beneath her skin flowed the mythical bloodline of the Nine-Heavens Violet-Gold Suanni, a primordial force of lightning and devastation.

He took a step forward, intending to cast a subtle, mind-altering hex to begin his usual process of psychological dismantling.

However, the moment Alaric channeled a microscopic fraction of his magical will, his supreme Archmage senses flared with a sudden, blaring warning.

He didn’t move his head, but his perception expanded like a spiderweb across the pavilion. Hidden flawlessly within the shadowy rafters of the tent, masked by top-tier concealment artifacts and holding their breath to the point of near-invisibility, were four elite female guards. They were all hovering at the absolute peak of the Martial King realm, with one radiating the dense, heavy pressure of a Half-Step Martial Emperor. They were watching his every single movement with hawkish, paranoid intensity.

Alaric’s internal smirk vanished, replaced by a cold, calculating pragmatism.

Cui Yulan was notoriously strict and paranoid, and her personal guard detail reflected that absolute discipline. They had not sealed their senses. They had not left her alone. If he attempted to cast a spell, or if his hands strayed even an inch into inappropriate territory, those four guards would descend upon him with lethal, unquestioning force.

‘A pity,’ Alaric thought, allowing his magical energy to dissipate entirely into the ambient air, completely undetected. ‘It seems the direct approach is suspended for today. Very well. I shall simply have to conquer her through patience and genuine utility.’

“Please, Noble Consort Cui, lie face down upon the table,” Alaric instructed, his voice a perfect, respectful baritone, devoid of any hypnotic resonance. “Ensure your breathing is slow and measured. The process of extracting stagnant lightning essence from the primary meridians is physically jarring.”

Cui Yulan nodded sharply. She possessed the unyielding grace of a seasoned general. She swung her long, muscular legs onto the table and lay flat on her stomach, resting her chin on her folded arms.

“I am prepared, Master Alaric,” Cui Yulan stated, her silver eyes staring straight ahead. “Do what you must.”

Alaric stepped up to the table. He did not let his gaze linger on the spectacular, wide flare of her heart-shaped buttocks or the heavy swell of her breasts pressing against the wood. He maintained the absolute, clinical detachment of a professional.

He placed his oiled, incredibly warm hands flat against the space between her shoulder blades.

Cui Yulan’s entire body went rigidly taut at the sudden contact, her martial instincts inherently rejecting the vulnerability.

“Release the tension in your dorsal muscles, Noble Consort,” Alaric murmured gently, applying a firm, downward pressure with his palms. “Your body is treating my touch as an attack. You must consciously lower your internal barriers, or the Qi will remain trapped.”

Slowly, reluctantly, Cui Yulan exhaled a long breath, forcing her muscles to unclench.

Alaric went to work. He possessed an unparalleled, god-like understanding of physical anatomy and energetic pathways. Since he could not use magic or sexual domination, he relied entirely on pure, unadulterated physical skill. He used his thumbs to dig deeply into the thick, corded muscles running parallel to her spine. He traced the primary heart-meridians, applying expert, agonizingly precise acupressure to the specific nodes where the violent, chaotic residue of her lightning attribute Battle Aura had calcified over years of intense combat.

“Mnnn…” Cui Yulan let out a soft, involuntary groan as his thumbs hit a particularly dense knot near her left shoulder blade.

“The stagnation here is severe,” Alaric noted respectfully, keeping his tone entirely academic. “The lightning essence you channel is incredibly pure, but the mortal vessel naturally resists its passage. Over time, the residual sparks embed themselves into the muscle tissue, causing this chronic, invisible ache.”

“You… ahhh… you possess a very sharp eye, scholar,” Cui Yulan gritted her teeth, her hands gripping the edges of the table as he applied a deep, rolling friction across her upper back. “No imperial physician has ever been able to pinpoint the exact epicenter of the recoil.”

“They look at the aura; I look at the flesh,” Alaric replied, his hands sliding down to her lower lumbar region. He kept his touches entirely professional, avoiding the luscious curves of her buttocks, focusing strictly on the muscular bands above her waist.

He infused a minuscule, completely neutral fraction of his Yang vitality into his fingertips, pushing it gently into her skin. The warm energy acted as a soothing balm, actively dissolving the microscopic, jagged shards of stagnant lightning Qi trapped within her pathways.

“Mhmmm… by the heavens…” Cui Yulan breathed out, a sound of genuine, profound relief escaping her lips. Her silver eyes fluttered shut.

The sensation was indescribable. For years, she had lived with a constant, low-level burning ache in her chest and spine, a necessary sacrifice for wielding her terrifying power. But under Alaric’s hands, that chronic pain was actively, noticeably melting away. The heavy, suffocating pressure in her heart-meridians began to flow smoothly, replacing the burning ache with a deep, comforting warmth.

Alaric continued the massage for a full hour. He worked his way down her arms, kneading the tension from her biceps and forearms, before returning to her back, executing a series of rapid, percussive strikes to further stimulate her blood flow.

Through the thin black silk of her training outfit, he could feel the incredible, breathtaking softness of her skin contrasting sharply with the steel-like density of her muscles. She was a physical masterpiece, a woman forged in the fires of war, yet possessing an undeniable, captivating femininity. He enjoyed the tactile sensation thoroughly, memorizing the landscape of her body for the day he would finally strip those silks away.

“The primary extraction is complete, Noble Consort Cui,” Alaric announced, stepping back from the table and wiping his oiled hands on a clean white towel. “Your Qi flow should feel significantly lighter. However, the residual damage requires time to heal. I recommend avoiding the full manifestation of your bloodline for at least three days.”

Cui Yulan sat up slowly, rolling her broad shoulders. She closed her eyes, internally circulating her Battle Aura.

Her silver eyes snapped open, shining with a rare, undisguised amazement. The flow of her Qi was incredibly smooth, rushing through her pathways without the usual, jagged resistance. The lingering, phantom ache in her chest was completely gone.

She swung her legs off the table and stood up, turning to face him. Her posture was still commanding, but the cold, suspicious edge in her gaze had softened considerably.

“I must apologize for my initial skepticism, Master Alaric,” Cui Yulan bowed her head slightly, a gesture of profound respect from a woman of her stature. “Your methods are truly unparalleled. I have not felt this unburdened in a decade. You have my deepest gratitude.”

“Your health is the empire’s shield, Noble Consort,” Alaric bowed deeply in return, perfectly playing the humble servant. “It is my honor to maintain it.”

Cui Yulan nodded, gathering her heavy armor from the corner of the pavilion. “I must return to the command tent. The demonic sects are regrouping. Your presence in this camp is a boon, scholar. I shall ensure you are heavily protected during the upcoming hunt.”

As she exited the pavilion, the four hidden female guards silently dropped from the rafters, flanking their mistress like ghosts, completely satisfied that the scholar had acted with utmost propriety.

Alaric watched the tent flaps fall shut, a cold, calculating smile replacing his humble facade.

He had not fucked her. He had not absorbed her Yin energy or stimulated her Suanni bloodline to enhance his own Azure Spirit Lion essence. But the session was far from a failure. He had successfully bypassed her paranoid defenses, established himself as an invaluable, trusted asset, and gained a significant amount of favorability from the strict Noble Consort. The foundation of trust was laid. Now, he merely needed an opportunity to isolate her.

Alaric departed the medical pavilion, walking casually through the bustling, heavily fortified encampment until he reached a massive, opulent silk tent situated near the center of the royal compound.

He bypassed the Imperial Guards stationed outside with a polite nod and slipped through the heavy flaps.

Inside the luxurious tent, the atmosphere was entirely different.

Imperial Consort Shu (Su Xinyue), Imperial Consort Xian (Zhao Mengxue), Princess Huang Mei, Princess Huang Hua, and Ling Ying were lounging comfortably on an array of plush velvet cushions and imported beast-fur rugs. They were completely alone, the soundproof arrays active.

They wore elegant, loosely tied silk robes that did a terrible job of concealing their voluptuous curves.

The moment Alaric entered, the five women looked up, their eyes lighting up with absolute, devoted adoration.

“Master,” Su Xinyue purred, her melodic voice dripping with a sultry, filthy hunger as she crawled forward on her hands and knees. The front of her robe fell open entirely, exposing her massive, heavy breasts to the air. “We have been waiting for you. Did you claim the lightning bitch? Did you fill her womb?”

“Mnnn… did she scream for your cock, Master?” Zhao Mengxue asked, shifting her wide, curvaceous hips on the cushions, her hand instinctively drifting down to rub her own thighs.

Alaric walked forward, casually unbuckling his belt and letting his trousers fall to the floor. His massive, rock-hard erection sprang free, demanding immediate attention.

“She is a paranoid creature,” Alaric stated calmly, resting his hands on his hips. “Her personal guard detail was hovering in the rafters. Four peak Martial Kings and a Half-Step Martial Emperor, watching every breath I took. I could not proceed with the true therapy today.”

Princess Huang Hua frowned, crawling over to wrap her arms around his right leg, pressing her soft cheek against his muscular thigh. “That is incredibly frustrating, Master. Her guards are fanatically loyal. They never leave her side unless she is actively engaging an enemy force.”

“Then we must ensure she engages an enemy force alone,” Princess Huang Mei suggested coldly, her athletic body stretching like a lazy cat on the furs. “We must find a way to separate her from her vanguard during the hunt.”

“We will,” Alaric agreed, his ruby eyes darkening with intent. He looked down at Su Xinyue, who had reached his feet. “But for now, I have a massive accumulation of Yang energy that needs to be properly drained. Xinyue. Open your mouth.”

“Yesss… ahhh… thank you, Master!” Su Xinyue gasped eagerly. The mature, voluptuous mother of the Third Prince didn’t hesitate. She lunged forward, opening her mouth wide and taking the blunt, purple head of his massive dick deep past her lips.

For the next two hours, the tent became a den of absolute, unadulterated debauchery. Alaric utilized the five powerful women to satiate his lust, fucking them ruthlessly against the floorboards and the velvet seating.

“Mhmmm! Ahhh! Yes, Master! Deeper!” Princess Huang Mei wailed, bent over a wooden table while Alaric pounded her athletic pussy from behind, her mother, Zhao Mengxue, kneeling in front of her to passionately kiss her daughter and swallow her moans.

“Use my breasts, Master… Mnnn… cover them in your seed… Ahhh!” Su Xinyue begged, laying on her back while Alaric engaged in a vigorous titty-fuck, his thick shaft sliding rapidly between her massive, heavy globes of flesh, while Ling Ying eagerly sucked on his heavy testicles.

They were his perfect, devoted sluts, their minds completely broken and rebuilt to serve his every whim. They discussed military strategy and assassination plots between breathless, filthy moans, entirely corrupted by his pleasure.

Later that evening, after Alaric had thoroughly exhausted his harem and magically cleansed their bodies of his spilled seed, the group convened in the primary command tent to finalize their battle plans.

Cui Yulan stood at the head of a massive tactical map table, fully armored once more, her silver eyes sharp and authoritative. Su Xinyue and Zhao Mengxue stood beside her, radiating the pristine, untouchable dignity of the Imperial Consorts. Alaric remained quietly in the background, leaning on his wooden staff, playing the role of the humble physician.

“The demonic forces have retreated deep into the Blood-Soaked Asura Valley,” Cui Yulan explained, pointing to a jagged, crimson-colored ravine on the map. “It is a treacherous, highly defensible choke point. The ambient Yin energy there is extremely dense, heavily favoring their dark arts. The Blood Lotus Cult and the Nether-Soul Grudge Sect have combined their forces into a singular, massive encampment at the valley’s heart.”

“What is their primary objective, Yulan?” Zhao Mengxue asked, her tone crisp and professional. “They do not launch coordinated offensives without a grand design.”

“Our scouts have intercepted fragments of their communications,” Cui Yulan replied, her jaw tightening with disgust. “They have captured thousands of mortal citizens from the border villages. They are holding them within the valley, intending to use their blood and souls to fuel a massive, forbidden sacrificial array. If they complete the ritual, they intend to summon an Abyssal Fiend Lord into our realm.”

“Then we must shatter their defenses before the ritual reaches its apex,” Su Xinyue declared, her eyes flashing with righteous intent. “The Imperial Vanguard will march alongside the Violet Thunder Pavilion’s disciples. We will crush them.”

The following morning, the combined, overwhelming might of the righteous forces descended upon the Blood-Soaked Asura Valley.

The environment was a waking nightmare. The sky above the valley was permanently stained a sickly, bruised purple, choked by rolling clouds of toxic, crimson mist. The jagged, skeletal trees that clung to the ravine walls wept thick, black sap, and the very earth beneath their boots felt spongy and corrupted, saturated with generations of spilled blood.

Alaric marched near the center of the massive formation, surrounded by the elite guards. He kept his magical signature heavily suppressed, projecting only the faint, watery aura of a low-tier mage.

As they marched deeper into the winding ravine, the silence was suddenly shattered by the horrific, wailing screams of tortured spirits.

“Ambush!” Commander Jin roared, his golden halberd flashing as he stepped in front of the Imperial Consorts.

From the shadows of the skeletal trees and the jagged crevices of the ravine walls, thousands of demonic cultivators poured forth like a swarm of diseased insects.

The Blood Lotus cultists wore crimson robes, their skin pale and deathly. They wielded jagged, serrated blades that dripped with highly corrosive, boiling blood-poison. The disciples of the Nether-Soul Grudge Sect were wrapped in tattered, gray shrouds, carrying massive, rusted iron lanterns that constantly wailed, unleashing torrents of vengeful, shrieking ghost-entities.

“Hold the line!” Cui Yulan commanded, her voice rolling like thunder.

The battle was instantly, breathtakingly savage.

“Kill the Imperial whores!” a massive, heavily scarred demonic elder bellowed, charging directly toward the royal vanguard.

This was no ordinary martialist. The elder possessed the strength of a Half-Step Martial Emperor, but his power was fundamentally, horrifyingly different from the pure, refined Battle Aura of the righteous sects. He was utilizing true Demonic Energy—a dense, abyssal, cloying darkness that fundamentally augmented his physical body, mutating his muscles into bulging, iron-hard masses and granting him a terrifying, unnatural regenerative ability.

Commander Jin stepped forward to intercept, his golden halberd sweeping in a massive, glowing arc. The Golden Dragon Decapitation Strike slammed into the demonic elder’s chest.

To the absolute shock of the Imperial Guards, the halberd did not cleave the man in half. The elder’s skin hardened into a layer of black, chitinous scales, absorbing the catastrophic kinetic force with a sickening crunch. The elder laughed, a gurgling, wet sound, and swung a massive, blood-red scythe directly at Commander Jin’s head.

“Their physical enhancement is monstrous!” Commander Jin shouted, parrying the scythe with desperate strength, the sheer force of the blow driving his boots deep into the bloody mud.

“Allow us, Commander!” Su Xinyue declared, stepping forward with elegant, lethal grace.

She did not draw a weapon. Her hands danced through a series of complex martial seals. Her Late-Stage Martial King aura erupted, a towering pillar of deep blue light pushing back the crimson mist.

“Azure Torrent Strike: Oceanic Annihilation!” Su Xinyue commanded.

A massive, roaring tidal wave of highly compressed, razor-sharp Water Qi materialized above the ravine, crashing down upon a contingent of charging blood-cultists. The sheer, crushing pressure of the water pulverized their bones, instantly washing a hundred demonic disciples away in a torrent of red foam.

Beside her, Zhao Mengxue was an avatar of fiery devastation. “Crimson Sunburst: Lotus of Ashes!”

She thrust her palms forward, unleashing a massive, spiraling lotus flower forged from pure, blindingly hot Fire Qi. The fiery lotus slammed into a swarm of wailing ghost-entities summoned by the Grudge Sect, incinerating the spectral horrors with absolute, radiant prejudice, the resulting explosion scorching the ravine walls black.

Princess Huang Mei and Princess Huang Hua fought back-to-back, a whirlwind of aristocratic slaughter. Huang Hua’s spirit-peacock fan launched crescent blades of slicing wind that decapitated the lesser cultists, while Huang Mei’s athletic, fluid sword strikes parried the poisoned daggers with flawless precision.

Throughout the chaotic, explosive melee, Alaric played his part perfectly.

He stayed safely behind the defensive lines, utilizing weak, unremarkable elemental magic to assist the guards. When a heavily armored demonic brute charged toward a flank, Alaric muttered a quick incantation, casting a simple Mud Mire spell. The ground beneath the brute’s feet instantly turned into a thick, clinging swamp, trapping the man’s boots and allowing an Imperial Guard to easily spear him through the throat. When a volley of toxic blood-arrows rained down from the cliffs, Alaric cast a fragile, shimmering Aqua Veil, a weak water shield that barely managed to deflect the projectiles before shattering, making him appear helpful but completely exhausting his ‘meager’ mana reserves.

“Stay close to the guards, scholar!” Princess Huang Hua yelled over her shoulder, slicing a cultist in half. She offered him a fierce, protective smile, entirely acting the part of the noble protector for her hidden Master.

The true spectacle, however, was Noble Consort Cui Yulan.

She was fighting at the absolute vanguard, single-handedly holding off three demonic elders who possessed the horrifying, physically augmented strength of Half-Step Martial Emperors.

She was a goddess of war. Her Nine-Heavens Violet-Gold Suanni bloodline was fully unleashed.

“Violet Heavens: Thunderous Judgement!” Cui Yulan roared, her silver eyes glowing with blinding light.

She thrust her Heaven-Piercing Thunder Lance forward. The air shattered with a deafening thunderclap. A massive, jagged bolt of pure, destructive violet lightning erupted from the tip of her spear, branching out into a complex, fractal web of electricity. The lightning slammed into the three demonic elders simultaneously.

Their demonic, chitinous armor, which had easily deflected Commander Jin’s golden halberd, stood absolutely no chance against the primordial, absolute Yang-Lightning essence of the Suanni bloodline.

The violet lightning pierced their defenses instantly, superheating the moisture in their blood and turning their internal organs to ash. The three Half-Step Martial Emperors shrieked in unimaginable agony before their bodies simply exploded into showers of charred, black gore.

“Push forward!” Cui Yulan commanded, her armor crackling with residual static, leading the charge deeper into the ravine.

The righteous forces carved a bloody, brutal path through the valley. The demonic cultists, realizing their vanguard was broken, began to fall back, utilizing cowardly, highly complex escape tactics.

“They are routing!” an Imperial Guard shouted.

“Do not pursue blindly!” Su Xinyue ordered, raising her hand. “The ground here is heavily warded!”

She was correct. As the fleeing cultists crossed a specific threshold in the ravine, the bloody mud beneath their feet suddenly glowed with a sickly, pulsing red light. Complex, jagged array formations activated simultaneously.

“Blood-Warp Arrays!” Commander Jin warned.

With a series of wet, popping sounds, entire squads of demonic cultivators simply vanished into thin air, teleporting deeper into the abyss, leaving behind highly toxic, corrosive clouds of dark green poison gas to cover their escape.

“Disperse the gas! Gale Arts!” Princess Huang Hua commanded, her fan whipping up a massive whirlwind that blew the toxic clouds back against the cliff walls.

As the gas cleared, the righteous forces discovered the horrifying remnants of the cult’s encampment.

Scattered throughout the cavernous alcoves of the ravine walls were hundreds of iron cages. Inside the cages were the emaciated, terrified mortal citizens captured from the border villages. They were chained to the stone, their wrists slit, their blood slowly draining into intricate, glowing channels carved into the rock floor, fueling the ambient demonic energy of the valley.

“Break the chains! Medics, to the front!” Cui Yulan ordered, her face a mask of absolute, furious disgust as she surveyed the torture.

Alaric stepped forward, playing his role as the healer. He moved among the cages, utilizing basic, soothing water magic to clean the mortals’ wounds and weak restorative light to stabilize their flagging heart rates. He acted with gentle, profound compassion, earning nods of deep respect from the surrounding guards and a lingering, appreciative glance from Cui Yulan herself.

While the medics tended to the civilians, the Imperial Consorts and the Vanguard commanders gathered around a group of captured, heavily wounded demonic disciples who had failed to reach the teleportation arrays.

“Speak, filth,” Commander Jin growled, pressing the glowing blade of his halberd against a cultist’s throat. “Where does the primary teleportation array lead? Where is the sacrificial nexus located?”

The cultist, a pale, emaciated man with blackened veins, merely laughed—a wet, bubbling sound.

“The Abyssal Lord comes for you all,” the cultist hissed, blood leaking from his teeth. “The Blood Lotus blooms in the dark. You will never find the nexus. The path is sealed in shadows and—”

Suddenly, the cultist’s eyes rolled back into his head. A dark, jagged rune glowing with black fire materialized on his forehead.

“Back away!” Cui Yulan shouted, grabbing Su Xinyue’s arm and pulling her backward.

The cultist’s head violently exploded, his skull shattering like a ripe melon. It was a Soul-Detonation Seal, a brutal, fail-safe artifact implanted in the minds of the lower disciples to prevent interrogation. One by one, the other captured cultists suffered the exact same horrific fate, their heads detonating, leaving the commanders with absolutely no information.

“Damnation,” Commander Jin cursed, wiping brain matter from his golden armor. “They are completely fanatical. Without knowing the destination coordinates of those Blood-Warp Arrays, navigating the deeper abyss is suicide. It is a labyrinth of dead ends and traps.”

“We must find the path,” Cui Yulan stated firmly, staring into the dark, mist-shrouded depths of the ravine. “Every hour we delay, more blood is spilled for their ritual.”

Alaric stood quietly near the cages, pretending to tend to a weeping mortal woman. His ruby eyes, however, were entirely focused on the glowing, residual energy patterns left behind by the activated Blood-Warp Arrays.

His Archmage intellect easily pierced the crude, primitive magical logic of the demonic formations. To him, the complex, chaotic red runes were as simple to read as a children’s primer. He could see the exact spatial vectors, the directional leylines, and the precise, hidden pathway that led directly to the Nether-Soul Grudge Sect’s heavily fortified main base, completely bypassing the labyrinth of traps.

He knew exactly where they needed to go.

But Alaric didn’t say a single word.

He didn’t want the righteous forces to storm the main base immediately. A massive, coordinated siege would keep Cui Yulan constantly surrounded by thousands of allies and her elite guards. He needed chaos. He needed distraction. He needed to stall for an opportunity to isolate the lightning-wielding Noble Consort.

So, he kept his mouth shut, allowing the commanders to debate and struggle in frustrating ignorance.

As the righteous forces established a secure forward operating base in the cleared section of the ravine, a sudden, unexpected commotion erupted at the rear guard.

“Hold your positions! Identify yourselves!” a Vanguard captain shouted, weapons drawn.

Emerging from the dense, crimson-stained foliage at the entrance of the valley was a massive, entirely new military force.

They were not part of the Imperial Vanguard, nor were they disciples of the Violet Thunder Pavilion.

They marched with a terrifying, unnerving, almost mechanical coordination. They wore heavy, dark iron armor accented with deep crimson tabards. Their faces were entirely obscured by featureless, iron faceplates. They carried massive, jagged broadswords, and their auras radiated a strange, incredibly heavy, bloody martial discipline that felt distinct from standard cultivation arts.

At the head of the formation rode a stern, scarred knight upon a massive, armored warhorse. Flying proudly above the column was a large, black banner depicting a shattered, bleeding iron crown.

“The banners of Earl Fenghai,” Zhao Mengxue noted, her aristocratic brow furrowing in deep confusion. She stepped forward to stand beside Cui Yulan. “He rules the Iron-Blood Province in the far west. What is a provincial Earl’s army doing thousands of miles from their territory, marching into a demonic warzone?”

Alaric watched the arriving army, his eyes narrowing slightly.

He knew absolutely nothing about the existence of Corbin, the ruthless, system-wielding protagonist who had secretly conquered the Earl’s family and turned them into his personal, fanatic death squad. He knew nothing of Corbin’s level 63 Martial King status, his dark harem, or his quest to harvest demonic resources to forge a growing weapon.

To Alaric’s omniscient, analytical gaze, this new army was simply a highly disciplined, unexpectedly aggressive provincial force that had aggressively inserted themselves into the conflict.

The scarred knight dismounted, striding confidently toward the Imperial Consorts. He offered a stiff, incredibly rigid bow that lacked the usual, groveling reverence of a lesser noble.

“Imperial Consorts. Noble Consort Cui,” the knight spoke, his voice grating and harsh. “I am Commander Vane of the Iron-Blood Province. My master, Earl Fenghai, received word of the demonic scourge plaguing this region. He has dispatched his elite vanguard to assist in the eradication of the Blood Lotus Cult.”

“Your assistance is unexpected, Commander Vane,” Cui Yulan replied, her silver eyes scanning the silent, iron-clad soldiers, her martial instincts inherently wary of their unnatural stillness. “The Iron-Blood Province is far from here. Your master’s zeal for righteousness is commendable, but the Whispering Gorge is under Imperial jurisdiction.”

“The eradication of evil recognizes no borders, Noble Consort,” Vane replied smoothly, his words clearly rehearsed. “We seek only to offer our blades to your cause. We ask for no glory, only the opportunity to slaughter the demonic filth.”

Su Xinyue leaned close to Zhao Mengxue, whispering softly. “They are strangely coordinated. And their auras… they feel heavy, almost bloodthirsty. I do not trust them.”

“Nor do I,” Zhao Mengxue agreed quietly. “But in a war against demons, extra swords are not to be discarded lightly.”

Alaric remained in the shadows, leaning against his wooden staff, a dark, calculating smile slowly spreading across his face.

He didn’t care about Earl Fenghai’s true motives. He didn’t care if they were righteous zealots or greedy looters. What Alaric saw was a massive, highly disciplined, fiercely independent army that operated entirely outside the strict, paranoid command structure of Cui Yulan’s personal guards.

He saw a wedge. A perfect, chaotic, unpredictable wedge that he could manipulate to drive a wedge straight through the strict formations of the Imperial forces.

‘The board just became infinitely more interesting,’ Alaric thought, his ruby eyes glowing with sinister anticipation.
