Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!
Chapter 381 - 381: Final Prep.Jason stood in the living room of the apartment, surrounded by packed suitcases lined neatly against the wall. The past few days had been a whirlwind of tying up loose ends — final meetings, handing over responsibilities, and making sure every detail was covered before he left the country. Now, his brand-new passport lay on the coffee table alongside everyone else's, all freshly processed and ready. In just a few hours, they would be heading to the airport.
He picked up his passport and flipped it open, staring at the crisp pages. Jason had never been outside the country before. The excitement bubbled in his chest at the thought of stepping onto foreign soil and experiencing a new place, but it was quickly tempered by a heavy layer of anxiety.
To the women — and to little Jasmine — this trip was a vacation. A chance to get away, explore England together, and enjoy some time as a group. But for Jason, it was something much more serious. He was going to find Angelica, Marcello's daughter, and confirm the information Nakamura had given him. He was using the trip — and all of them — as cover. The last thing he wanted was to drag any of them into the real danger behind his journey.
For some strange reason, Jason felt eyes on him. Even now, in the safety of the apartment, he could sense it — a persistent, watchful presence. His intuition prickled at the back of his neck, sharp and insistent, but he never said anything about it. He simply stayed alert, scanning the room subtly while pretending to check his documents.
Turning to the group with a casual smile, he asked, "So… everyone ready for this? England. First time leaving the country for me. Feels… big."
Cassandra looked up from her suitcase, flashing him a bright grin. "Ready? I've been counting down the days! I packed three different jackets because I heard it rains all the time there. This vacation is going to be amazing."
Jane bounced over, practically vibrating with excitement as she zipped up her bag. "I'm so excited! I've never been on a plane before. Do you think we'll see Big Ben? Or ride one of those red buses? Jason, promise we're doing all the touristy stuff!"
Jasmine, the small girl who had been quietly sitting on the couch hugging her worn backpack to her chest, looked up with wide, uncertain eyes. She wore thr fancyJason had given her after the shopping spree, she had come a long way. Back then she had been dirty, scared, and half-starved. Now she was clean, fed, and safe — but she was still adjusting, still trying to understand this new world that had suddenly opened up around her. Books, planes, foreign countries — these were things she barely knew existed.
"Plane?" Jasmine asked softly, her voice small and hesitant. She tilted her head, fingers twisting the strap of her backpack. "That the big bird thing that flies in the sky? We really get to ride one? Like… up there?" She pointed at the ceiling, eyes full of wonder mixed with a touch of fear. "I never been on nothing that flies before. What if it falls?"
Ella stepped closer, crouching down gently beside the little girl and placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It won't fall, sweetheart. Planes are really safe. You'll get your own window seat so you can see everything from way up high. It's going to be fun, I promise."
Jason nodded, forcing his expression to stay light. "Yeah, kiddo. It's going to be fun. We're all going together."
Cassandra walked over and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder. "Of course it will. We're going to eat fish and chips, take silly pictures, and relax. No stress, just us."
Jane grinned, joining the hug by squeezing in from the side. "Exactly! Vacation mode activated. Serious sightseeing during the day, cozy nights after. Deal?"
Jasmine looked between them, still clutching her backpack like a lifeline. A tiny, shy smile finally broke across her face. "Fish… chips? That sound like food? I like food. And I get to go too? Not just stay here?" Her voice cracked a little with disbelief. "Nobody ever took me nowhere before. Not even my brother."
Jason felt a sharp pang in his chest remembering the day he had found her — the street fight, the way he had beaten her brother bloody for trying to steal from him, then taken the terrified little girl in and sent her brother to rehab. She had been so broken, so lost. Now here she was, about to board a plane for the first time in her life.
"You're coming with us, Jasmine," Jason said gently, ruffling her hair. "We're a family now. All of us."
Ella completed the group embrace, her voice warm. "That's right. We've got your back, kiddo. This is going to be the best trip ever."
Jason chuckled, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly as he held them all close for a moment. Inside, though, the weight of his real purpose pressed heavily on him.
"They think this is just a getaway. They have no idea I'm using this trip — and all of them — as cover to find Angelica and verify what Nakamura told me. I need to keep it that way. Keep them safe and happy while I handle the real reason we're going." Jason thought to himself.
"Passports are good, bags are packed," he said, checking his watch. "Car should be here in thirty minutes to take us to the airport. Everyone have everything?"
Cassandra gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "We're good. Let's go make some memories in England."
Jane pumped her fist excitedly. "England, here we come!"
Jasmine looked up at Jason with those big, trusting eyes and whispered, "Thank you for taking me. I never thought I'd get to fly like a bird."
With one final look around the apartment, Jason grabbed his bag. The group headed for the door, suitcases rolling behind them, excitement filling the air as the women chatted happily about their upcoming "vacation." Jasmine trailed along, still clutching her backpack, glancing around in quiet wonder at a world she was only just beginning to understand. Jason walked with them, smiling on the outside while his mind stayed sharply focused on the hidden purpose of the trip.
