HARMONY [LITRPG / ISEKAI / PROGRESSION / OP MC]
57: Fifth Floor (Yes, this is still going)Aidan was more than disappointed after finding a lot of limitations that his Craft spell had. It wasn’t even that his rank was too low, but rather that it just wasn’t capable of doing such a thing.
He supposed that enchantments, and most spectacular pieces of gear, would be made using the proper skills or spells that aligned well with their creation. While harmony was supposedly a concept that consisted of all things in reality, it didn’t necessarily correlate to making it into a true reality, so to speak.
In other words, his talent wouldn’t always make anything. Which made sense considering that so far, all he really did was alter the physical make up of an item, but not really changing what was on the inside. What really affected them was the amount of mana he put into them using Infuse.
So he could do anything as long as he could put mana inside, but realized that mana wasn’t the only thing that could be used. This proved that there needed to be some other form of energy, or some kind of resource to properly make equipment with stat-boosting capabilities.
He wondered how the equipment they found so far were made if that was the case. Was it possible that there was some kind of Class that allowed them to specifically craft something specifically? But when he first acquired the Classes at level 5, it only showed the basic four options.
Was he missing something? Was there something more to the system than it initially showed him? He didn’t pick up anything like that from the books he read, though he admittedly wasn’t reading as much as before.
Oh well. In the end, what mattered was that he learned quite a few things from his constant experimentations. And it was by far the most unfair kind of revelation he could receive.
He couldn’t wear his own-made gear without it affecting the Infuse buff.
First, he tried to make a leather glove using the resource balls he had on hand, making it have the effect of providing a small shield to protect himself like how Van had his buckler with the barrier enchantment. He figured he could have both gloves, which allowed him to conjure shields to protect himself in combat.
But it didn’t work. The buff he constantly had on interfered with the magic infused within the gloves, making them unusable. When he tried to force the enchantment on the glove to work despite the opposition, the Infuse cast on his body dispersed as the barrier activated.
That immediately told him that as long as Aidan had the Infuse in his body, he couldn’t use gear that also had the same Infuse enchanted on them. Perhaps it was because they use the same mana signature, and having the same thing would cause some sort of havoc on their internal structure constantly interfering with one another.
He thought that perhaps, if it was like this, then he could just wear the enchanted gear and if a situation occurred where his magic would be lost, like how Nicky used that tool to make magic disappear, he could instead use the enchanted equipment to make up for it. Unfortunately, further study showed that the same thing would occur, as he could definitely feel his own spell being used within the enchantment.
In other words, if the same thing were to happen again, both the Infuse on his body, and the Infuse in his gear, would disappear, making it unusable.
However, when he wore gear like the Arcane Ring, it didn’t affect his Infuse in his body at all. So while he could enchant gear and give them to others, there was no point in wearing them himself. The benefit of having Infuse as a buff was just too good to pass up for the enchantments on his equipment.
Perhaps there might be a way for him to use his spell to create barriers and conjure long blades of energy like he could with his recently made equipment, but that felt too outstretched to consider right now. Perhaps he needed to increase the rank of the spell first before even trying.
Still, he wasn’t too upset. The increase in levels was certainly enough to cheer him up.

Naturally after reaching level 30, he also received a prompt for another ability selection.
You have reached level 30. Here are the choices you can pick from:
To his surprise, more options lined up than before, even compared to the last one. Not only were there elemental spells he usually passed over, there were also some support spells mixed in, including the ability to control the type of soil and change it according to his wishes. He wasn’t sure exactly how useful that spell was, unless it was more suited for a farmer than a mage.
There were also non-elemental type spells, including another series of the projectile type spell like Magic Bullet and Magic Arrow from before. This time it was Magic Bomb, but rather than the usual projectile, this one was a launch-type of spell that would send out a literal grenade of magical power and cause it to explode upon impact.
He could definitely see some people choosing that type of spell for the amount of damage that could cause, and since it was reserved at Level 30, it should pack a wallop compared to ordinary spells.
But he searched for the type of ability that he could use along with his other abilities. One thing came into mind as he brought it up.
Rising Mana (Copper)
Boost your magic by empowering the natural core of your being, improving both the outer layer and the inner structure of your magic by multifold. All your spells, skills, and abilities are boosted by 20% of your base Intelligence score.
If what he was reading was true, then this ability would automatically improve his spells a fifth of what they originally had by itself. It was a clearly superior ability to pick up in comparison to the many others shown to him, and he was glad he didn’t rush through the process or else he would’ve missed it. Not that it would go away, but now another question formed as soon as he picked it.
That meant that increasing his Intelligence became a priority again. Looking at his status sheet, his Intelligence was still far ahead compared to the second highest Agility, while both his Strength and Vitality remained the same, vastly lower than the primary two attributes.
Seeing both his lowest attributes, he decided to put in more points in them just to ensure that he wouldn't be too imbalanced.
Satisfied with his work, he put the screen down to see the rest of his party members settling in with their new equipment.
While Haley and Van were already used to this, the Wise Guys party were still amazed at the equipment Aidan gave for free. He knew he could just sell them for a decent amount, but he figured that this way, he didn’t have to give away all the treasures they would find to the party for their work. He saw Nina looking at him with that smile of hers that, according to her soul, meant that she was more than pleased by how this turned out.
“Now that we’re good here, let’s head to Floor five.”
“Floor five…” Haley muttered. “Never heard anyone going down that far. How many floors are there in the dungeon?”
“Supposedly ten floors, but don’t hold me up to that,” Van answered, looking at the stairwell heading down that same point. “The monsters should be a lot more powerful than anything previously. You sure you can handle this, Aidan?”
“Just picked up a new ability from reaching level 30,” Aidan smiled. “This improves all my magic by a nice margin.”
“Wait, you’re level 30 already?!” Nicky blabbed aloud, catching their attention. “Well… I guess that makes sense. You did pretty much clear the entire floor for hours on end. How are you not tired?”
“I got some potions,” Aidan answered simply. He definitely wasn’t going to tell them about the Soul-Mending water he had on hand. “Anyways, let’s keep the train going.”
“Train?” Haley asked.
“Ahh… nevermind.”
Aidan quickly led the party down the staircase, once again astounded by just how deep the dungeon can go. Now that he learned that it can go down to ten whole floors, he wondered just what kind of monstrosities would be hiding away here.
Unlike the clear blue and pleasant atmosphere given off by the flowing river on the fourth floor, the fifth floor gave off a shimmering yellow light that seemed reminiscent of being under the sun on the outside.
Walls of strange markings showed along with glowing crystals that lit the pathways. Rather than it being a labyrinthine pathway like before, it seemed more straight forward with a larger space and barely any turns and corners.
However, monsters were rampant everywhere as far as Aidan could sense, and each one proved to be rather strong in their own right as the notification finally dawned on him.
You have entered the fifth floor of the Crystalfang Dungeon. Level Recommendation: 25-30.
Most of the monsters he faced within the fourth floor were around level 25 and over, but now he sensed creatures and scanned that they were above level 30. Just like he expected, there was a certain power boost for the monsters above thirty, something that made Aidan pause for a moment, which caught their attention.
“Are you alright?” Nina asked, walking up to his side. “Can you keep going?”
“I can, but it’s gonna be tougher than normal,” Aidan admitted. “I’ll send out my swords, but I think this time you guys should hang around me instead. No treasure hunting for now until I get a better grasp around here.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Van said, hanging around Haley as though ready to fight at any moment. “We’re pretty much out of our depth here. What about you guys?”
“The fifth floor is not for your usual casuals,” Bill stated. He looked tense, and his soul revealed that he was ready to brawl just like Van. “We only barely covered the fourth floor, but the fifth is a whole different beast.”
“We can always do some scouting if you want,” Nicky said, waving her finger around for emphasis.
“Leave that to Aidan,” Nina simply said. “No need to risk casualty.”
“R-Right…”
Despite how the Wise Guys were feeling, Nina didn’t look all that disturbed by the air giving off by the fifth floor. That already made Aidan figure out that perhaps her initial level is actually some kind of lie. Otherwise, how else would Nina command such respect and authority despite that kind of level?
Even Aidan didn’t feel that she was that weak now that he was able to perceive better with Sense Vibrations. Somehow or another, she was hiding away her own information, just like how he was hiding his Contract Breaker away with Vanish.
Before anyone could even say much else, Aidan quickly picked up signals coming from far away, lifting his hand and calling everyone to pause for a moment.
His swords flew and surrounded the scene as several creatures ran in from the distance, already picking up on their arrival. They were as large as themselves, horizontally wide with packed muscle and leather armor. They each had axes in one hand and roared in either delight or fury at the incoming invaders.
Miasmic Orc, Level 33.
“Yeah, this dungeon seriously needs to get updated.”
Aidan complained at the rise in level as he made his swords fly straight at the orcs, each one roaring in challenge as they swung their axes and fought off each sword that flew at them.
Seeing them, Aidan focused more on range combat, crafting air shots that traveled seamlessly across the expanse of the fifth floor before landing direct hits on their upper bodies, particularly where they were holding their weapon. Despite the accurate shots, none of them seemed to cave in as they fought off the swords, with one of them knowing who was the owner of said swords and running straight at Aidan.
Aidan picked up his own sword and infused his body with mana, empowering his stats as he came face to face with the strangely fast orc delivering an underhanded swing.
The metal clashed and collided, almost pushing Aidan off by a few feet but the orc stumbled in return. It kept coming after Aidan, strange purple energy coating his axe before swinging it straight down.
Aidan had the right idea to jump to the side instead, seeing that the purple-coated axe created a large crack on the ground. That wasn’t what made him grateful for not taking it directly.
Smoke hissed with force as the acidic properties from the strange energy caused it to burn and leave behind a small crater of bubbling melted stone. The orc roared in anger before slashing again, creating an arc of purple energy that shot from a distance.
Aidan was shocked at the sudden range attack before managing to pick himself up with the wind, flying away from the strike that launched itself from the distance. It wasn’t just some acid, he could tell. It was something that could mess up anything structural straight from within.
The other orcs followed suit, creating their own miasmic attacks straight at the swords. Some came out rather damaged, the blade becoming singed and breaking off in pieces. Aidan had to pull in all the stops before more of his swords got damaged.
He willed the earth around him to create a barricade, separating the other orcs from the one he was facing. He brought his swords from the barricaded orcs to fight at his side, then without hesitation, launched them straight at the single orc in front of him. Meanwhile, Aidan rushed in with his own sword as the orc now had to fight off nine other swords aiming to hack its body into pieces.
It was too much for one single orc to take on, and when Aidan arrived, he took the chance to slam into the torso when one of the other swords redirected the orc’s axe, giving him plenty of time to stab directly at it.
The orc became stunned for a moment, allowing Aidan to call his swords to slam into the orc one by one, creating a pin cushion out of the orc as Aidan used Craft on all of his swords.
Each one enlarged and grew bigger, tearing the orc apart as their size was too much for even the tanky-looking orc to handle, its body exploding from all the blades sticking out from their sudden increase in mass. Normally this would weaken the sword’s foundation as the increased mass had to be taken out of the sword itself, leaving it rather fragile, but they were made with enough resources from his huntings that they had enough power to outright tear the orc apart, killing it instantly.
With one done, Aidan looked ahead to see the three orcs destroying the barricade, coming straight after him. He dealt with the orcs as fast as he could, using his swords and his Craft spell to full use to take each down before they could do more damage to his swords and, more importantly, to himself.
Aidan stood on the ground, breathing heavily as his mind was taxed from the extra effort he had to put into taking each orc down. Thankfully the fight was done, but he was more exhausted than he thought.
“Yeah… it’s gonna be tough,” Aidan said, looking back at his party that watched the entire ordeal.
“You good?” Van shouted, his hands covering the sides of his mouth.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Aidan called out. “Let’s take it slow this time, yeah?”
Looking at Nina, she nodded in approval. No matter how much she liked the idea of being the indomitable person with authority, he was glad that she wasn’t going to force him to keep up with the same pace as before to make a showing to the adventurer party they had forced to travel with them.
They kept moving forward, this time the entire party together as they tackled the fifth floor.
