Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 883 - 359: Umbridge’s DoomsdayChapter 883: Chapter 359: Umbridge’s Doomsday
Valentine’s Day felt like it flew by, at least Harry felt like there was so much more to enjoy.
When he returned to school, he was still reminiscing about the delicious Valentine’s Day chocolates.
In the hall, classmates grouped together chatting, and Harry noticed Ron and Hermione sitting on a bench, looking much more snug than when he left.
"Hey, you two!" Harry suddenly wedged his head between their shoulders, startling them both, "What are you two sneaking around doing?"
"Nothing, nothing at all." Ron quickly waved his hand.
"Why do I feel like..." Harry sniffed, resembling a puppy, "there’s a sour smell around here?"
"Sour smell?" Ron was stunned.
"You’re mistaken, Harry." Hermione said, unfazed, "You know, we’re both Hogwarts—no, Gryffindor’s Class Prefects, it’s reasonable for us to chat about work, right?"
"Oh~" said Harry with significance, "Male and female Class Prefects—male, female, Class Prefect..."
He emphasized the word "Class Prefect" with extra weight.
Just when Hermione was also about to buckle under the pressure, Luna’s ethereal voice suddenly broke out.
Only then did the two breathe a sigh of relief.
Whew...
"Harry?" Luna handed over a brown package, "Take a look at this."
Harry noticed that it seemed to be a book?
He took the item, ripped open the brown wrapping, and a tightly rolled February issue of "Singing Against the Tune" fell out.
"Singing Against the Tune?" he asked.
"Yes." Luna smiled, one eye on Harry, the other eye seemingly focused on Hermione and Ron: "Singing Against the Tune is a magazine run by my dad—I think I mentioned it to you, didn’t I?"
"Yes, I remember." Harry nodded, unfolding it, revealing Sirius’s smiling face, handsome and dashing.
Printed on the photo was a bold red headline: Minister Black believes Fudge is incompetent, leading to prisoner escapes.
"Indeed." Harry glanced at the magazine and smiled at Luna, "It appears the British Magic World has media brave enough to speak the truth, like ’Singing Against the Tune’."
Receiving Harry’s recognition, Luna was quite delighted.
"Well then." Luna said to Harry, "My dad wants to interview you... um, you know, he heard you saw something during the Triwizard Tournament, and he’s keen to uncover the truth."
"No problem, Luna." Harry said, "You can arrange a time with Mr. Lovegood, I’m available anytime."
The following weekend, Harry managed to meet with Mr. Lovegood.
They met at the Pig Head Bar, and when Harry walked in, there was only one person inside, slightly cross-eyed, with cotton candy-like white hair perched on his shoulder, a hat tassel hanging down to his nose, wearing a bright egg-yellow robe.
A gold chain hung around his neck, gleaming with an odd symbol resembling a triangular eye.
The emblem of the Deathly Hallows, Harry had seen it more than once, it was something Vivi aspired to find back then.
"Hello, Mr. Potter." The man stood up, "Xenophilius Lovegood, chief editor of ’Singing Against the Tune’."
"Hello, Mr. Lovegood." Harry shook Mr. Lovegood’s hand, and they sat across from each other.
He raised his hand and called to the barkeeper, "Abufosi—I’ll need a Butter Beer here."
Abufosi glanced at him and turned to head inside.
"Mr. Potter." Xenophilius sipped his coffee and asked Harry, "You know, my daughter Luna—in Ravenclaw, she’s mentioned some things to me, like how you’ve seen the Dark Wizard return, correct?"
"Yes, Mr. Lovegood." Harry nodded earnestly, "Not just once, the first time was when I was in my first year, which was 1991, that year Voldemort was possessing Quirrell, on the back of his head."
"Wait!" Mr. Lovegood’s eyes brightened: "On the back of his head? Who are you... uh, Voldemort attached to someone’s head? What an intriguing story..."
"Yes." Harry used Transformation Spell to conjure paper and pen, quickly sketching a rough diagram for Mr. Lovegood, "Here, just like this, Mr. Lovegood."
Mr. Lovegood picked up the paper, clicking his tongue, whether in admiration or regret.
"The Dark Wizard doing such a thing is truly unexpected." Mr. Lovegood marveled for a couple of lines, then drew with a pen over the sketch.
Having finished, he looked up again, saying, "Please continue, Mr. Potter—"
"In my second year, Voldemort himself did not return, but I encountered his Soul Artifact." Harry said, "It was a diary, using his Muggle era name—Tom Riddle."
"Wait!" Xenophilius Lovegood’s eyes lit up, "You’re saying—Riddle? I don’t recall that surname among Pure-blood Wizards—Mr. Potter, trust a journalist, I know all the Pure-blood Clans in the world, but Riddle is not among them!"
"Oh." Harry shrugged, "He’s Mixed Blood, his mother fell in love with a Muggle, then used a Love Potion to force his compliance, thus giving birth to Voldemort."
Upon hearing such gossip, Mr. Lovegood’s eyes brightened further.
Wow, is there anything juicier than this gossip?
A Dark Wizard advocating Pure Blood, yet, his mom’s Mixed Blood?
This is explosive, this news is really explosive!
Determined to make big news, Mr. Lovegood continued, "Anything else, Mr. Potter? Like the Triwizard Tournament..."
