Hearing Lin Tian’s order made Li Huan obey right away. He took a few sips of his tea, then stood up, clasping his hands together.

He said his goodbyes to Lin Tian and An Yue, telling them he’d pass Lin Tian’s message along to Wu Yue.

Li Huan left the house and flew off back to the north. An Yue and Lin Tian remained inside. Still, An Yue’s curiosity was piqued by Lin Tian’s request.

"Why do you suddenly want those mines, my husband?"

"I realized the competition between blacksmith shops is fierce. None of them wanted to tell me where their iron ore comes from."

"That made me realize I won’t be able to compete with them unless I do something about it," Lin Tian answered, sipping his tea.

"So you want to take over those mines and make them assets of the Lingxian Sect?"

"Yes," Lin Tian explained, "The mines are still owned by mortal families, it would be easy to take them."

An Yue smiled, then sat down in the chair beside Lin Tian. Her eyes stayed on him as she reached out and placed her hand over his.

"That mine is the backbone of their family’s livelihood. You might need it, but taking it by force would leave them in misery," An Yue said.

Lin Tian fell silent for a moment, then glanced over at An Yue. She went on. She said it would be far better for Lin Tian to partner with them in the iron ore trade, rather than seizing their mines outright.

That would give them both something to gain, an advantage for Lin Tian in securing iron ore, and an advantage for the mine owners as well.

What An Yue said sank in. She was right! Just to keep up his cover, he’d been about to act recklessly, taking the mine away from them without even knowing whether it was that family’s only source of livelihood or not.

Still, it wasn’t right either way. After all, the mine was a matter of the mortal world’s economy, it would be far better for Lin Tian to buy and trade with them, just like any ordinary mortal would.

"You’re right," Lin Tian said, agreeing with An Yue’s view.

He closed his eyes and sensed that Li Huan’s qi aura was still within reach. He sent a message directly into Li Huan’s mind, making him stop mid-flight the moment he heard what Lin Tian was telling him.

Lin Tian was clearly telling him to cancel the earlier plan. He asked him to come back instead and help build a blacksmith shop next to his house.

Li Huan heard the order and obeyed completely. He turned around and flew back to Xiayu Village to carry out Lin Tian’s instructions.

Within minutes, Li Huan arrived in front of Lin Tian’s house. Lin Tian stepped outside and met him again.

"I’ll pay you 15 spirit stones for this. That’s all I have," Lin Tian said.

Hearing Lin Tian say that, Li Huan understood he was keeping up the act so no one would find out who he really was.

Using his qi energy, he accepted the pouch of money and walked over to the side of the house. His hands formed seals, activating a magic rune on the ground.

Within a few minutes, the building stood firm and complete beside Lin Tian’s house.

The rumbling sound coming from the north side of the village drew a crowd, and people came out again to see Lin Tian building a new structure next to his house.

"Whoa, are you good friends with that cultivator, Brother Lin?" a few villagers asked.

"He’s the one who helped me yesterday. I asked him to come help me again. We’ve been friends since yesterday."

"Seems like you come from money, Brother Lin. You’ve hired a cultivator twice in two days, you must have spent a ton of spirit stones, right?"

Lin Tian smiled and raised his hand, "My family runs a cultivation supplies business. So we’ve got enough spirit stones to afford it."

Before long, the shop stood complete, bearing the sign "Lin’s Blacksmith," fully equipped with blacksmithing tools inside. Li Huan turned to look at Lin Tian.

"Since you’ve hired me twice now, I threw in the blacksmithing equipment for free," Li Huan said firmly.

Lin Tian nodded, clasping his hands together and bowing his head obediently, "Thank you for your kindness, Master Cultivator."

Li Huan nodded firmly, putting on an air of authority, all part of the act of course. He glanced around at the villagers watching him with admiration.

"I’ll be taking my leave."

Before long, Li Huan flew off, leaving the village to head back to the Lingxian Sect, while Lin Tian and An Yue walked into the shop.

He saw that the shop was divided into three rooms: the front room for buying and selling goods, the second a resting room, and the third a forging room.

Lin Tian smiled, wrapping an arm around his wife from the side as the two of them looked ahead together, "This is going to be our new business now."

"Whoa, is Brother Lin planning to open a blacksmith shop here?" one of the villagers asked, an old man.

Lin Tian turned around, and An Yue did the same. He smiled and nodded, telling everyone that Lin’s Blacksmith would be the very first blacksmith shop in Xiayu Village.

"In that case, could you fix a few of my tools? I’ve been having a hard time working in the fields lately."

"Of course. Tomorrow morning, you can bring them to me, Grandpa Yao."

"And not just Grandpa Yao, I’ll offer free repairs to anyone tomorrow. So don’t hesitate to bring your tools to me."

Lin Tian’s announcement stirred up the whole village. People chattered excitedly, saying they’d bring their broken tools in for repair. Lin Tian didn’t mind one bit.

Elsewhere, Wei Hutong arrived carrying firewood in a basket on his back. Seeing that Lin Tian had already opened his blacksmith shop got him excited.

He ran straight over to Lin Tian, catching his attention.

"Brother Wei?" Lin Tian greeted him.

"This is a great shop, Brother Lin."

"It is. We’ll start business tomorrow," Lin Tian said, "I need you not to be late tomorrow morning, Brother Wei."

Wei Hutong smiled, bowing his head obediently, "Of course. I won’t let you down, Brother Lin."
