Qin Mingzhu still sat there, a bit dazed, unable to snap out of it.

Qin Mu asked quietly, afraid of disturbing others who were reading.

He replied softly.

Qin Mu, without much thought, instinctively walked over and stood next to him, looking outside.

A warm hand suddenly gripped her frail shoulder, causing Qin Mu to instinctively lower her gaze.

Mu Yichen didn’t speak, simply continued to stare at that sunlit spot.

Qin Mu felt a bit stiff and uncomfortable where their bodies were touching, almost mechanical.

Huanhuan and Chengcheng lay on the sofa reading books, occasionally turning their heads. They saw the silhouette of their father holding their mother’s shoulders and couldn’t help but share a look, covering their mouths to stifle their laughter.

Their actions intrigued other kids, who also peeked towards the window. That whole wall was made up of glass and was crowded with people, but the most unique sight seemed to be that couple side by side, although no one quite understood what was so amusing.

Before night fell, the family headed downstairs. Huanhuan and Chengcheng dashed ahead, while Qin Mu and Mu Yichen followed behind them, only to be blocked as they reached the bottom of the stairs.

Qin Mingzhu darted from the entrance to the staircase, "You better not go anywhere now, lots of people outside are looking for you."

Qin Mu didn’t understand and glanced outside, feeling a jolt seeing all the unfamiliar faces.

Mu Yichen stood behind, his sharp eyes also briefly scanning outside, silent but fully aware.

"They’re supposedly your fans, but with this crowd, if you go out, you’ll probably be mobbed. If there are any haters, you’re doomed."

Qin Mingzhu leaned in towards her ear as she said this, perhaps fearing the unkind words might prompt Qin Mu’s rear guard to kill with his eyes again.

Qin Mu instinctively turned to look at Mu Yichen, who was also looking at her. Qin Mu quickly understood his meaning, then beamed and said, "President Mu, lend a hand please!"

Mu Yichen ignored her but had already pulled out his phone, head down searching for a number.

Qin Mu and Qin Mingzhu exchanged comforting glances but hadn’t done anything before noticing several girls standing at the foot of the stairs, all holding books and pens, seemingly wanting her autograph.

So she couldn’t manage the situation outside for now, but inside the bookstore, things became formal with autographs.

Qin Mu sat on the steps signing for each of them, Huanhuan and Chengcheng sat beside her, fascinated by everything, eager to join and sign too.

Qin Mu glanced at that fan, who nodded enthusiastically, prompting Chengcheng and Huanhuan to eagerly help sign as well.
