Chapter 2624: Story 2625: The First Origin

The palace shook as the creature climbed from beneath the throne.

Stone shattered.

Ancient pillars collapsed.

A massive black body emerged from the darkness, covered in armor-like bone and pulsing red veins. Hundreds of crimson eyes opened across its chest and shoulders.

The First Origin had finally entered the First Kingdom.

Every undead creature screamed.

Then they bowed.

Kael stood motionless.

His sword burned with red light.

Lena raised her glowing hand.

Elias stepped beside them.

For the first time, the three siblings stood together.

Veyr slowly backed away.

“No,” he whispered.

The First Origin turned its enormous head toward him.

“CREATOR.”

Veyr froze.

“You remember me?”

The creature’s countless eyes opened wider.

“YOU OPENED THE DOOR.”

Veyr’s confidence returned.

“And I will control you.”

He raised both hands.

Red energy erupted from his body and struck the creature.

For several seconds, the First Origin remained still.

Then it laughed.

The sound shook the palace.

“YOU WERE NEVER MY MASTER.”

The creature swung its arm.

Veyr was thrown across the hall and crashed through a stone pillar.

Kael looked at Lena.

“Stay behind me.”

Lena shook her head.

“No.”

She stepped forward.

“It wants me.”

Kael grabbed her arm.

“That’s exactly why you stay back.”

Lena looked into his eyes.

“If it takes me, it will use my blood to control the kingdom.”

Elias nodded.

“She is right.”

Kael looked at him.

“You’re agreeing with her?”

“For once.”

The First Origin suddenly charged.

Its massive fist struck the floor.

A shockwave threw everyone backward.

Kael rolled across the stone and quickly rose.

“Attack!”

The ancient guardians charged.

Thousands of armored warriors surrounded the creature.

Their weapons struck its body.

But the First Origin barely moved.

It swept one arm through the army.

Dozens of guardians were thrown aside.

Mara and Ethan fired from the palace entrance.

Isabella led the Last March into the battle.

“Protect the heirs!”

Adrian pulled Lena away from the fighting.

“We need to understand what it’s doing.”

Lena stared at the creature.

“It isn’t attacking randomly.”

Adrian frowned.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s searching.”

“For what?”

Lena looked toward Kael.

“For the King’s blood.”

Kael suddenly felt something burning inside his chest.

The First Origin stopped.

Every one of its eyes turned toward him.

“SON OF THE KING.”

Kael raised his sword.

“I am not yours.”

The creature stepped closer.

“YOU CARRY HIS POWER.”

Kael charged.

His sword struck the creature’s chest.

A burst of red energy exploded from the impact.

The First Origin staggered.

Everyone froze.

Kael stared at his sword.

“It can be hurt.”

Elias smiled.

“Then hit it again.”

Kael attacked.

This time Elias joined him.

The brothers struck from opposite sides while Lena raised her glowing hand.

Red energy wrapped around the creature’s limbs.

It roared.

“HEIR!”

Lena screamed as the creature fought against her power.

Black veins spread across her arms.

Kael looked at her.

“Lena, stop!”

“I can’t!”

The First Origin broke free.

It raised one enormous claw.

Kael rushed toward her.

The claw came down.

A massive shield of red light suddenly appeared between them.

Queen Elara stood behind Lena.

“Remember who you are.”

Lena looked at her palm.

The queen’s symbol glowed brighter.

“I am the Heir.”

The shield expanded.

The First Origin staggered backward.

For the first time, the ancient creature looked afraid.

Then Veyr rose from the rubble.

His eyes burned crimson.

“If I cannot control the Origin...”

He smiled.

“I will destroy the kingdom with it.”

He pressed a device against his chest.

Deep beneath the palace, something began counting down.

TEN.

Adrian’s face went pale.

“That’s a detonation sequence.”

NINE.

Kael looked at Veyr.

“What did you do?”

Veyr laughed.

EIGHT.

“I buried a bomb beneath the First Kingdom.”

SEVEN.

Kael raised his sword.

The First Origin roared.

The palace began collapsing.

SIX.

And beneath the ancient kingdom, millions of sealed dead began awakening.
